Modern and Stylish apartment in downtown Reykjavik - Great location !

Our apartment is located right in front of one of the most popular landmarks Reykjavik, the church Hallgrimskirkja. Einar Jonsson Sculpture Museum is also just few meters away. Skólavörðustígur is just around the corner, there you find small grocery store called Krambúðin and its open 24/7, Boutique stores, Restaurants and Bars. The main street Laugavegur is just 430 meter from the apartment. So everything that Reykjavik has to offer is in walking distance from our apartment.

Our apartment has two bedrooms, the master bedroom is on the second floor and has King Size ( 180x200 cm ) bed and also Single bed (90x200cm). The second bedroom is on the main floor and has nice bunk bed with double bed ( 140x200 cm ) in lower level, and single bed ( 90x200cm ) bed in the upper level. The kitchen is fully loaded with everything you need. The apartment and the whole building was recently renovated.
We have private parking outside / under the building. If you planning on taking tours then bus stop number 8 is just across the street next to the church Hallgrimskirkja.

We have baby crib and high chair for your children.

We provide linen, towels and soap etc.

We manage over 100 properties here in Iceland, most of them in Reykjavik area and also few outside of Reykjavik. Please let us know if you would like to split your stay, some nights in Reykjavik and some outside of Reykjavik. We also offer long term renting.

Great apartment in the heart of Reykjavik

Loved our stay here. This place is well appointed with a well stocked kitchen! Steps from tons of shopping, great food, and sights. One thing to note is that you have to climb 2 sets of steps with your luggage to get to the apartment. No problem for us, but would be hard for someone who has mobility issues or a huge bag! Also, we paid the VRBO fee and then the apartment rental fee outside of VRBO. At first I thought it was a scam, butit was not! Would definitely recommend!

Great place to stay!

Apartment was as described. Perfect location in the city to stay. So many restaurants and places to see within walking distance. Having the parking spot was a plus. Our only regret was not getting a car rental at the airport the day we arrived. Kjartan was a great host and was very responsive whenever we had questions or asked for suggestions. I’ll be looking to stay at another Birta rentals property next year.

Perfect base camp to explore Reykjavik

My husband and I stayed here for a week and the unit was perfect! Kjartan was really communicative before our arrival so check in was seamless, and the unit is exactly as advertised. It was just enough space for the two of us to spread out a little after driving around Iceland many of our days, and the neighborhood is wonderful. We've already talked about coming back to Iceland and we'd rebook in a heartbeat.

Perfect Location!

This apartment was in the heart of Reykjavik! Walking distance from everywhere, and all the good food spots were right around the corner. The check-in manual included a lot of useful information about activities and excursions to do in the area, as well as general information (about supermarkets etc). Communication with the host was a bit slow at first, but he was very responsive before the start of our trip and during our stay. The property was extremely clean, although the water smelled like sulphur which took some getting used to. Overall I recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Reykjavik!

Great place to visit Reykjavik

Five of us stayed here very comfortably. It was clean, well appointed, and a great location for exploring the city. Great patio that you can open up to enjoy the fresh air. Would definitely recommend!

Great Location for Visiting Reykjavik

Communication was poor and led to some misunderstandings about the check-in time. Property manager would not return emails initially and I had to have an Icelandic friend call him to confirm reservations, check in process, etc. Water is not filtered in the apartment and smells of sulfur, while many other places do not have this issue. There were no blackout curtains in the main living area, yet they had a bed set up there, which made it difficult for sleeping. It was a great location to stay while visiting the capital but I would not stay again.

We Rented the Entire Building!

We had a group of 17 people and rented all four apartments. The parking underneath was a HUGE convenience! We made good use of the laundry and enjoyed the fabulous location.

Great place to see the sites of Reykjavik

Close to everything and easy to find. We had a group of 5. The beds were comfortable and Kitchen had all you need if you feel like cooking in. Communication was great, check-in was a breeze. Great place to have and then go out and see the sites of the town. I 100% recommend this spot to those with a larger group.

Wonderful stay in Reykjavik

We had a great time in Reykjavik. The flat is located in the center, you can walk everywhere. In addition, it is equipped very well for cooking. Everything worked out great! Thanks again! :)

Wonderful apartment in the perfect location.

Great Location!

My family and I enjoyed this property. The location is great, walking distance to most things in Reykjavik. Property manager very organized and good with communication. The apartment was clean and updated. I would stay again!

Great location, well appointed apartment

We loved the location and having a kitchen and space to spread out after our 5 day driving tour. The apartment is nicely redone. Do be aware that the downstairs bedroom is less luxurious than the upstairs, perfect for families.

Family Friendly Apartment with a Terrific Balcony

The apartment was perfect for our family of 5 - four adults and one toddler. We ended up moving the mattress of the bunk bed to the floor so that we did not have to worry about the toddler falling, but we certainly did not mind doing that. The rooms have light darkening shades. The kitchen had plenty of appliances, dishware, etc. so we prepared our breakfast each day before leaving. Laundry dryer was a little more work than I am used to, but we were glad to have access. And the location was perfect - though I believe that most anywhere in Reykjavik would be perfect!

We highly recommend the apartment

We, a family of 4, stayed in this apartment for a week. We enjoyed the convenience of location + private parking spot for a rental car. The place is right in the heart of Reykjavík closely located to shops, museums and restaurants. Apartment has all necessities: well stocked kitchen, comfy beds, lots of closet space and heated floors. Kjartan, who manages the apartment, kindly allowed us to check in at 9am instead of 1pm since no one occupied the apartment the day before. We highly recommend the apartment to anyone planning to visit Iceland.

Highly recommend the apartment

We a family of 4 stayed in the apartment for a week and couldn’t hope for a better experience. The place is located in the heart of Reykjavík close to shops, restaurants and museums. We loved the apartment with all the conveniences: well stocked kitchen, comfy beds, heated floors, big closets etc. Private parking spot and laundry room made added to the convenience of our stay. Highly recommend the apartment- you won’t regret it.

Excellent!

Our family of 5 spent 4 nights at Þórsgata Suite. Check-in was easy. We called Kjartan as we were leaving the airport, and he met us at the apartment and showed us around. The location was excellent, right across from the beautiful Hallgrímskirkja church and close to many great restaurants and shops. The apartment was spacious, clean, and well-kept. The decor was beautiful and the beds were extremely comfortable. We used the pull-out sofa and a cot (none of the boys wanted to share the 2nd bedroom) and even these were extremely comfortable. We didn't cook while we were there, but the kitchen is very well stocked for anyone who wants to cook some meals during their stay. The apartment comes with a parking spot, which is very useful if you are renting a car because parking in the city could otherwise be a challenge. There are several clothes washers and dryers on the first floor, which was also very convenient. We loved staying here and will definitely stay again if we ever return for another vacation in Iceland!
