Second timer

Our family loves this place. Cable Lake is a motorless lake so it's very quiet unlike the other Sister Lakes. The house is spacious and was well stocked to facilitate our stay. Paddle boards, kayaks and a paddle boat kept us busy for hours. Fishing was great off the dock. Swimming area was clear and clean. Beds were comfortable. All in all, our family really enjoyed our stay.

Spacious, well equipped home. Lovely, quiet lake. The water amenities (kayaks, paddle boards, pedal boat and numerous inflatables) were enjoyed by all. The few problems we had were resolved immediately by our Evolve contact.This was the perfect location for our family of nine: 6,9 and 11 yr old grandchildren, their parents and grandparents.

I highly recommend "Lakefront Sister Lakes Vacation Rental w/Dock." It is exactly as advertised: very spacious, spotlessly clean, and well equipped with what you need for a nice stay. We were there with our 2 adult children, their partners, and our 2 year old grandson and we had plenty of room to spread out and even had a bedroom leftover. Cable Lake is beautiful and I like that there are no motor boats. The management company is extremely responsive. I did call them with a few minor questions/requests and they were immediately responsive (answered right away or in one case called back about 2 minutes after I left a message) and were very accommodating. Next time my wife and I need a lake rental on one of the Sister Lakes, this would be our first choice.

Loved staying here

This if the first time we stayed at the lake house and it was super cozy & beautiful! We have a toddler and he loved playing in the sand and playing in the house! It’s so beautiful to see the lake right outside your window! Would absolutely recommend staying here!!

Would definitely stay here again!

Great house with a beautiful backyard view. The house was clean and spacious and beautifully decorated. Our group was very pleased with everything. Our host was great at communicating & responded quickly to any questions we had. It was a very positive experience!!

Highland House

We had a fantastic stay at this lake house! The home was spacious, comfortable, clean and well stocked. It easily accommodated our group of 8 adults and 2 children. The child-proof gates were a huge plus with little ones. The lake itself was beautiful—perfect for swimming. We would definitely rent it again.

Lovely comfort

Sisters weekend, lots of space, indoor and out! Plenty of gathering areas! Non motor lake and that was perfect! Quiet! good kitchen with all the tools! Enough beds for all, and the bed linens were super soft. Owner was wonderful and responsive. Great spot!

Great place for family Vacation !!

We had a great time at this lake house. Perfect location, and the house was beautiful. Very clean and lots of activities in the house for the rainy day. Whenever we had a question about something manager, or owner responded very quickly. We travel with small kids, and it was well accommodated for families.

Our family enjoyed our time at the lake house and all of the amenities it offered. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen. The house was close enough to enjoy many activities in the area. We would love to return!

Family Fun

The lake was so beautiful. It is a very quiet lake with no boats. It’s the perfect lake for small children because of that. The house was perfect for our family golf outing getaway. Plenty of room to spread out. There were sand toys, swim floats, and beach towels to use.

Our family loves the beach/lake area for two reasons. The swimming area is far cleaner any of the surrounding properties. Also the fact that Cable Lake is a non-motorized lake is huge. No jetskis, no tubing, no waterskiing just serene calm. Paddle boards, paddle-driven pontoons and kayaks rule the water! The extended dock is a great fishing platform and keep our grandkids busy all day. The room on lower level was a great night time retreat for movies with popcorn and compact pool table.Kitchen was stocked well enough to handle our group at mealtimes. Shed outside has life jackets for all ages and plenty of fishing tackle. 2 kayaks, 3 paddle boards, a paddleboat and numerous water toys kept our family active all day.On the down side, the lights that light up the lower steps to the beach were not working. We recalled this was an issue on a previous stay. I also had to blow off both decks covered in tree debris. To be fair, some may have come from rain shower morning of our arrival. A blower was in the shed dimealtime.The surrounding area has lots of amenities. Great ice cream/coffee shop, a micro brewery and mini golf. Couple of nearby stores had everything we needed. Town of Dowagiac about 15 minutes away in case special items needed.Our family loves this place!

Everything you need in one house

I was staying with my husband and 2 longtime friends, so we needed a couple of bedrooms and bathrooms for privacy. This home filled the bill, and then some! The large living area with sectional was perfect for kicking back after being on the lake. 2 kayaks and a paddle boat were provided and we made use of them several times during our stay. The double decks were also great with plenty of seating.The house was clean and well stocked. We would stay here again without a question!

Nice property

Property could use some repairs; paddleboat, light fixture above sink in basement, basement railing not secure. Down stairs basement room is very small. Overall nice Property, quiet beautiful lake. Nice neighborhood. Driftwood gift shop was nice and convenient. Would definitely recommend. Thanl you

Wonderful!

What a lovely house and location! We found the house to be spacious and comfortable for four couples. Very pretty and cozy. The bed/mattresses were of nice quality and comfortable. We took turns cooking and the kitchen was well stocked with the tools and dishes we needed. We enjoyed most of our meals on the upper deck with a lovely view of the lake. I especially enjoyed my morning coffee on the deck! The lake was great for swimming and kayaking which we did every day. One day we took a 35 minute (approximately) drive to the Kal-Haven Trail for a walk, but mostly stayed around the house. One night we made BBQ chicken on the gas grill. We made a bon fire next to the water and played games inside another. There are several games stocked in the lower level. I am already planning my stay for next summer!Making reservations was seamless. As was communicating with our contact person with a couple of questions.
