This was our second year here and it was still just as amazing. The vibe of the cabin was immaculate. My dogs loved running throughout the property (and in the creek). My kids had a blast on the play set and I couldn’t get enough of the ping pong table. Can’t wait to come back for another year!

This place has the ability to be nice, but is misrepresented as being a 3 bedroom, having laundry and a habitable basement. It is a 2 bedroom with a open loft that has 5 twin beds. There is no laundry on site as listed, we messaged about this and were told it was a listing error and to go to a laundry mat as there were no extra towels for our 12 person party. Before arriving, we received an email from the host that the dishwasher is broken, and the outside handrails on deck are dangerous. We arrived 10 minutes early, but cleaners were there and we could not access it until 30 minutes after our check in time. The kids immediately run downstairs to the basement game room, which smelled like mold, had insects everywhere and a broken beer bottle on the floor. We planned on having one of the couples stay down there, but it was uninhabitable so they had to sleep on the living room sofas (which do not have a sleeper). I will say the property was nice with the creek, the kids enjoyed that, however it is in a dead zone so no one had phone service and you will need to use wifi calling, which is spotty. Also the hot water runs out rather quick with a big party so prepare for cold showers and there really is no A/C. We made it work but for the price we expected much more. I messaged the host about all of this but they felt it did not deserve a resolution and would rather have the bad review. We would definitely not stay here again. If you do, prepare for a camping experience.

My friends and I rented this home for a weekend reunion. I loved the open concept and huge dining room table so we could eat all of our meals together. It was easy to have a few people working in the kitchen at once which was nice too. Some friends enjoyed exploring the property and we also went on a beautiful hike with a great view of the lake just a 5 minute drive away. It’s super close to town if you need to get anything at the grocery store but still feels remote! Communication with the host was super easy and he had great recommendations for the area. Would highly recommend!

Larger house with potential but disappointing…

So let me preface this review with the fact that this is an old school, beautiful lake house. However, the price did not match the value. It seems that the house simply has not been kept up. There were many light bulbs out throughout the house. The bottom of the wall of the shower upstairs is moldy and disgusting. There wasn’t an outlet cover on one of the bedroom outlets. The outlet box on the kitchen cabinet wall is falling out of the wall. The floor was not clean and had a couple areas of large sticky spots around the dining room table that we had to clean when we arrived. There is no air conditioning and there is no washer/dryer (these two items were disclosed in the listing). The dishwasher was broken. The listing says that kitchen spices are provided and there wasn’t even any salt in the house. The railing around the deck is quite dangerous as it is rotted in multiple spots. The foosball table is beat to death and not functional. The air hockey table barely works. The floor is missing tile around the dining room table. Just overall, not happy with the fact that the house is $6000 a week during peak season and we had these issues. The owner was very nice but he needs to invest back into the property and find new cleaners/property keepers. I took pictures of most of these things but am unable to load them into the review.

That said, our homeowner and local team will carefully review each item mentioned. As noted in the listing, the home does not offer air conditioning or a washer and dryer. We also wish these additional concerns had been brought to our attention during the stay. The only request we received was for additional towels, and no maintenance, safety, or cleanliness concerns were reported during the seven-night reservation. Had we been made aware, our team would have welcomed the opportunity to inspect the issues and provide assistance while the stay was still underway. We appreciate the detailed feedback and will ensure the items mentioned are reviewed carefully as we continue working to provide a comfortable experience for future guests.
