Overall, the location and home were good. The main TV in the living room never worked unfortunately! The dryer also did not dry properly & the main door lock to the home did not program so we entered through opening and closing the garage door. The main door lock we used the dead bolt so at least it was locked. There was a stand alone fan that didn't work up in the bedrooms which was obvious as it couldn't stand on its own so informed owner and left in garage so they had it yet to view. They were notified upfront of all concerns we saw at check in. Back sliding door was open about 3" when we got there. Amendities were good. Pool near back yard is shared with others in the area but convenient for us since we had a wedding we were involved in. We never did use the passes for the water park. The listing of Brand new could be taken off the listing. Overall, we were happy with its setup for our group minus the main TV, & dryer not working. We could use the upstairs TV.

August Stay

We stayed here for a long weekend to get together with college friends we hadn't seen in a while! It fit us all so well, the space was very clean and matched the listing. It was so close to Arnold's Park, which made the stay perfect. And the pool in the backyard was a great addition!

The location is about a 10 minute walk from the Bridges Bay resort. It has a shared community pool in the very, very large backyard area so our kids were able to swim and play ball. The pool is well kept and has a gate so that was nice. The house was clean and well kept. We thought it was a lot nicer in person than what it appears in the photos.

Great Space

This property worked out well for two families and a friend! The owner has great communication and answered questions we had prior to checking in. The garage was very spacious and we were glad to have it. We were close to a boat ramp and having access to the water park was a plus for a rainy day that we had. Would recommend this property!

Nice

It was a nice place and great location but there was a cleanliness issue I’m sure the owners aren’t aware of. The towels, bathrooms and washing machine all needed some attention, especially with some mold growing.

Wedding Stay

Overall the stay was great, however there was still laundry that was folded and put away, laundry in the washer that was wet and a load in the dryer, not a huge deal, but a little of a pain. We also didn’t have enough wash rags for bathing, but plenty of towels. It was great having the daily passes for the water park, our kiddos loved it. We would book with individual again but hope the laundry is taken care of.

Okoboji family vacation in Bridges Bay Cabin

Kitchen flooring was loose in several areas, frig leaked water on the floor and there was water damage on the floor, washing machine was moldy, a smoke detector was missing in the loft. We also ran out of toilet paper and had to go buy some. The listing stated “brand new vacation cabin”. However, it seemed like it had been well used.

This stay could have gotten 5 stars! Property manager was great to work with initially. Once we arrived at the property we noticed issues and had to run to the local store. Mold/mildew on the shower curtains and liners, wash machine lined with mold. The cleaning service had been using that wash machine and all the towels and bedding smelled musty and most likely embedded with mold. The floor boards were also very loose and you would slide as they shifted when walking across them.We left less than 24 hrs later and asked for a monetary 50% refund. Owner offered a comp stay but stopped communicating after he said he would follow-up on 8/22/29.
Floor boards loose
Washing machine detergent tray
Once the rubber liner was moved you could see mold sludge

The TV in the living room wouldn't work. No signal, no batteries in remote. Found batteries but still couldn't get it to work. Comunicated with owner about it. Told us to restart reciver which we did as well as powered it off but none of that worked. He said it worked for previous renters and no additional help was given which was frustrating. We didn't plan on watching much tv during our stay anyway but it would have been nice to get it up and running anyway.
