Enjoy this quaint tree lined neighborhood with streets made for walking, including a scenic walk around Lake Gertrude. Located exactly one mile from downtown Mount Dora - and around 7 minutes by car from Renningers Antique and Flea Market.
Fully furnished 1 Bedroom cottage adjacent to our home. Full kitchen including: refrigerator with ice maker, stove, microwave, coffee maker and access to outdoor grill. Flat screen TV with Cable and wireless internet. Plenty of books to read, games and cards to play.
Recently renovated bathroom with walk-in shower and upgraded fixtures. Private bedroom with comfortable queen bed - sleeps 2. Dining room seats 6, as well as small kitchen table for 2 - either one perfect for games or dining!

Mt Dora High Hedges Cottage

We had a wonderful time at High Hedges Cottage. Our hosts were so gracious. The location of the cottage was very close to downtown, all the local lakes and nature walks. The cottage also had anything we could possibly need, very clean and nicely decorated. We definitely will be coming back !

This unit is just like the photos in vrbo.Location is wonderful,close to a walking trail on a nearby lake,and a 10 minute walk to town.Many restaurants and shopping opportunities,boat tours and alligators to check out!

Spent the weekend, explored downtown great food. Visited the light house, took a tour. Relaxed, read just enjoyrd the down time.

Perfect Location and Wonderful Hosts!

I loved my stay here! The only down side was that the Internet connection was really sketchy and I had to work while I was there so that presented a problem for me. But other than that this is an amazing little cottage and the hosts were awesome! Everything was super clean and I was very comfortable there. Since I am a woman over 60 and was by myself it was important to feel safe and I definitely did staying there. Highly recommend checking out this adorable place.

Boating trip and friends reunion

This cottage was very clean and comfortable. Located in a very nice area and was close to Mt. Dora. Very reasonable priced. We would go there again.

Great cottage

We spent two nights at this lovely accommodation. Everything was just as stated in the listing. We were very comfortable. It’s close to downtown and close to the lake that can be seen from the porch. We highly recommend this property.

Charming Cottage

Converted garage/workshop that is so adorable. We love the quietness and charm of the whole neighborhood. It was 3-4 minutes to downtown. Amenities were fantastic. Plenty of coffee, comfy bed, big couch and arm chair for lounging. Clean and fresh smelling. We will go again and again. Great place to stay if you visit Mt. Dora.

High hedges was wonderful.

The cottage was very comfortable and the hosts were excellent. I was looking for a quiet getaway and this was it. Will definitely stay again.

Excellent Experience

The cottage was very clean, homey, and quiet. Very close to downtown Mount Dora. We enjoyed our weekend and the host is very communicative and nice. We would definitely stay there again.

The Perfect Stay

High Hedges offered all the amenities of home, right from when I first stepped through the door. The hosts' communication was proactive and ensured that anything I could need was available, right down to customizing snacks to my preferences. The bed was extremely comfy with different densities of pillows to choose from. The home was well-appointed with details and touches that felt quality, cared for, and therefore made me feel cared for. The neighborhood was quiet and well-kept. I could not have had a better experience in any way.

This cottage is one of the cleanest I’ve ever been in, it has everything in it and it’s all comfortable. We enjoyed A real relaxing time. Wood recommended or anybody who likes to relaxrelax and enjoy being in Mount Dora.

Quaint small town

Only a 20 minute walk to downtown area and the walk is thru nice residential areas. Also very close to a cement walking path around a lake you can see from the residence. Mount Dora's shops and restaurants made the trip to town worthwhile!

Very clean and stocked with everything needed to feel just like home. Beautiful neighborhood, very quiet, and very convenient to all shopping, restaurants, and Rennigers Antique Mall. We loved it and will go back.
