Cozy farmhouse in a quiet neck of the woods, but close enough to Canadohta Lake to enjoy all it has to offer. House was clean and spacious, room to move around for a large group. Very nice accommodations would highly recommend if you are looking for a weekend getaway.

Another great stay at the Farm House

This was our second family reunion at the Farm House. And again we were not disappointed. The house is emaculent and is very large with plenty of bedrooms and the living room had comfortable sofas and recliners The grounds were well kept, and at dusk, we were excited to see two large deer herds grazing in the fields. All in all, we had an enjoyable, peaceful stay.

This is a beautiful setting. We were greeted by deer, geese, and kittens. The house was immaculately cleaned. It was perfect for our three families to share. I highly recommend for anyone hunting or visiting Canadohta Lake. It's very easy access to the hub, Frog Pond side, of the lake.The host was very easy to work with and takes excellent care of the property. The first floor is spacious. The bathrooms are newly updated with all amenities. The kitchen is small but has everything you need.Our reason for 4 stars was the musty smell and the water. There was a foul taste to the water that made it undrinkable. I am sure this beautiful, rural setting is well water and the reason for the taste and odor. So, take your own water to drink, make coffee, and cook with. The other reason for the overall rating was that there are no bathrooms on the second floor where all bedrooms are located. We worried for my elderly mother through the night but she managed without incident.Loved the house and we had a good stay. I do think future guests would like to know these details.

Nice quiet older home. Had everything we needed for a group of 10 except a pancake griddle. We made do with what they had. We were in the area for a family wedding. The beds are firmer than I like but I slept well. My mom is older and didn’t want to trek the stairs so slept in living room with kids. It was nice had 3 couches with one being sleeper sofa and also recliners. The bottom of the twin bunk bed was very creeky. Steps were narrow & wooden so noisy running down for bathroom trips during night. Only 1 tv in house but the kids managed with WiFi on their phones and tablets. Enjoyed a fire and the ponds. My husband and son in law caught fish. People complained about smell and we didn’t notice anything & also read review about water so we all brought bottled and found the water to be fine for our liking. We have well water at home so aren’t as picky as city folk may be. Would rent again if in the area and would have been nice to stay another night to relax and enjoy the property more.
