We loved the cabin. It was exactly as pictured. It was comfortable, clean, and decently appointed. However, there are two details that would improve the experience. First, the water in the downstairs toilet bubbles up when the upstairs toilet is flushed. If you are not careful, you might inadvertently have an unpleasant bidet experience. Second, the door handles on the interior doors could be replaced with traditional door knobs. They are loud and a bit challenging to use. Otherwise, thank you for a lovely stay!

Nice home!

This home was very clean and had everything we needed. It was close to town, which made it very convenient as well. The problem we encountered was when we had to change houses due to septic issues. The house we were placed in was horrible. For this reason, I would not recommend staying at a home that’s managed by Vacasa. They were very responsive up until the time that I reported issues with the home that we were moved to. It’s been radio silence ever since.

Great home and location

We had a wonderful time and the cabin was fabulous. It is a perfect location and the views were beautiful. The home was clean and had plenty of room for a family of 6. Would definitely come back again.

Family time in Townsend/Cades Cove

The house was beautiful, quite and clean! Beautiful scenery and beds were so comfortable! Everything we needed to have a great time with our 86 and 83 years old parents. They used to come up every year but has been almost 10 years since last trip. Both are healthy at this time and the trip will be remembered always!

Great place!

The view from the deck was wonderful! The cabin was spacious and clean and comfortable. Supplied basics like laundry detergent and soap. The only issue was the floor boards on the 2nd floor (master bedroom) were very creaky and the other 2 bedrooms beneath could hear every movement. I always bring noise machines for my children when we go on vacation, and I was thankful for that. Other than that, our stay was wonderful!

Not very clean at all!

Previous tenant’s garbage left on front porch two days despite repeated communication with property managers. Dead bugs in window sills. Great cabin. Just not managed very well. Promised a $200 refund that never happened.

PROS: This cabin was in a great rural area, no steep roads to get there. Loved the fire pit! CONS: The wood frame around the bathroom upstairs was not attached and kept falling when we would go into/out of the bathroom. We ran out of towels on day 2, and when I opened the washer to wash some it smelled TERRIBLE....Like a dead rat. The odor was strong enought that we were afraid to wash anything in there because I feared the laundry would stink. When I tried to clean around the seal (we do this at home after every load) TONS of black stinky gunk had built up all around it. I cleaned it well with bleach. The smell remained. I ran 2 cycles on the hottest setting with vinegar and it did nothing. Ran 4 more cycles on hottest with Bleach before we felt safe washing anything in there. The smell didn't ever go completely away but got much better. Front load washers are a bad idea for a rental property IMO. They need to be dried out around the seal and left open to air....otherwise they wreak and collect build up around the rubber seal. Maybe a note on the laundry closet door would help with this problem? Or cleaning company wiping it down with each cleaning.

It was very nice. Would’ve liked to have coffee filters for the coffee pot. I understand that that would help those of us who are traveling from out of town and perhaps a few amenities like ketchup, mustard, etc. but I understand. There were unexpected butterflies outside. I’ve never seen so many in one spot day after day.

Better inspection needed

I believe it had a been a month since someone had stayed in the cabin. It was very dusty with piles of dead ladybugs on the windowsills and in the corners. The ladybug infestation was a serious problem; they dropped from the overhead light fixtures into our hair, our drinks and food. Also, it would have been nice to have the ice cleared off the steps before we got there. The ice pellets helped, but we had to wait for them to work before we could get our stuff in.Additionally the light over the stove was out and we never got sheets for the futon, though VACASA said they would bring them.Otherwise, it was a nice cabin and we had fun!

Perfect Location!

This property is in the quiet little town of Townsend. About 35 minutes from Pigeon Forge so close enough to the shops and tourist attractions but also off the beaten path. The cabin is so comfy! It has all you need for a home away from home. We definitely enjoyed our stay!

Tennessee Christmas

This house was a great escape from the everyday and allowed us to enjoy many good hikes in the park. The area is quiet and peaceful. The house was inviting with good signage to find the house. Whenever we rent a home like this I am always skeptical as to what is part of a fully furnished kitchen. The only thing I found missing was a can opener. With my son’s multi-tool we got that can open though. So many yummy foods were made and lots of great memories!!

Overall, great place to stay the location was not too far out. It would’ve been nice if the gas logs had been turned on. We will stay there again.

Epic for Tail of the Dragon stays!

Super comfortable place! Perfect for a trip to the Tail of the Dragon. The ride out to Foothills and then US129 makes this a great location. The hot tub is fantastic too!

Motorcycle trip with friends

Property was clean. Had lots of room for our Truck, trailer and bikes. The only real issues was the yard hadn't been mowed in a while. We were wanting to grill and hang out in the lawn chairs, but the grass was too tall. For $1,400 you think they could have mowed it.

Quiet cabin, good location.

We enjoyed our stay and loved the location. It was really easy to get to the park, which was important to us as we did a lot of hiking. The property was clean when we arrived. The hot tub was not working properly (not heating). We reported this 2 hours after check in when we could be sure the temperature was not going up. Unfortunately Vacasa does not send anyone out on the weekend for non-emergency repairs, so it took 2 days to get fixed. The kitchen could use a new can opener (we left the broken one that did not work on the counter), and maybe another medium or large pot. There is only 1 larger pot, 1 medium/small pot and 2 tiny sauce pans, this made making dinner a bit more challenging than anticipated. Make sure you bring whatever kitchen equipment you think you might need (we standard bring our own knives). There were no critters in the cabin (yeah!), but they are living in the rafters and they can be heard scurrying around (mice?), especially in the master bedroom upstairs which is a bit disconcerting.
