There is also a kitchen, utility, dining room, sitting room with woodburning stove and a first floor sitting room. To the outside there is off-road parking for two cars. Laurel House is a special retreat for a getaway with friends and family.

Outside there is a South facing courtyard, with sufficient room for confident drivers to park 2 cars, however if you are not comfortable with parking or are wanting to park two large four-by-four cars, there is ample room for one car and nearby pay and display parking. There is also space in the courtyard for outdoor tables and chairs. Two well-behaved dogs allowed for a cleaning supplement. High chair, splash mat and foldaway cot and mattress if requested

It is a lively town with a quaint harbour, safe sandy beaches and of course the Abbey, reached by the famous 199 steps. The beauty of Robin Hood's Bay is close by, as is the beach town of Scarborough and the picturesque landscapes of the North York Moors National Park.
