This beautiful home is built and furnished to a high standard. The accommodation is spacious (some 2,365 square feet) and the house is set within a 0.35 acres (quarter of an acre). The property boasts 4 large bedrooms. The Master bedroom is very large with a full king size bed and sitting area - private entrance to the pool area - and features an en-suite bathroom with double vanity, deep tub and walk in shower as well as a large walk in closet. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and a bathroom with shower nearby. Bedrooms 3 and 4 are large and share the third bathroom between them. There is access to the shower room from the pool area. The house has 2 reception areas both equipped with sofas and the open plan kitchen is fully equipped with all the modern conveniences you will need and there is a small breakfast nook looking out onto the pool and lake for a calm and serene start to your day.

Lake Marlin (Port Charlotte) is the ideal place to spend a quiet holiday yet have easy access to all facilities and to some stunning scenery. The area around Kevitt Blvd is a nature-lovers paradise and a remarkable range of species that can be spotted - armadillos, gopher tortoises, alligators, birds of prey, herons, egrets, cardinals, jays - the list goes on and on. .

The Cape Haze area also offers plenty to do for those who enjoy beaches, golf, shopping or the arts. Locally, there are plenty of excellent restaurants, supermarkets and all essential facilities, whilst within one and a half hours drive are many other places to visit such as Sarasota, Venice, Fort Myers, Sanibel and Captiva Islands and the Everglades.

Extra linens and towels are provided. The pool area is very nice and has lots of seating right on the lake. A true vacation home, calm and quiet.

Notes:
• We are well-provided with extras such as beach mats, cool box, picnic ware, games, books and local information. There are also 4 bicycles (with helmets) so you can enjoy cycling around the area and going on the nearby cycle trail. The kitchen is particularly well-equipped and with both a formal dining area, informal/breakfast area and outside eating area, self-catering is a pleasure rather than a chore. A barbeque is available. The main living area has a TV with video player whilst the study/bedroom 4 has a TV with DVD - ideal for families. There is also a wireless internet connection so take a lap-top or iPad and you can keep in touch with things back home whilst enjoying yourself on holiday.

Comfortable house with a great view
This house has a lot to offer, a lake, wonderful wildlife to look at, nice set up, and in a secluded neighborhood. We have stayed in southwest Florida many times and this stay was among the best we have had. Highly recommended.

Good house and home but short on accommodations.
The house, neighborhood, and all around was very. However, the house was short on accommodations like: toilet paper, paper towels, laundry supplies. We stayed for ten days but only enough supplies for maybe 2-3 days were provided. In addition to, there were a lot of bug on the property and around it, sometimes in the house there would be cockroaches and spiders. Sitting outside was unpleasant because we would get bitten up by bugs, not mosquitos but small little bugs that you can't notice. When it would rain, the drains on the back porch near the pool were clogged inside and led to flooding that would come up to the doors in the back of the house. In addition, the beach chairs and umbrellas provided were already broken and not very usable. Overall. the house and stay was great and I would recommend it to renters and in the future. However, be aware of the shortcomings and be prepared to deal with them.

Things to consider
The house is large and accommodating for a family of 8. The kitchen is well stocked with plates,cups, glasses, utensils, and pots,pans, etc. The sunsets are beautiful and we enjoyed every minute of our family time. The beds are mostly comfortable, the family room not so much. The couch and table-chairs are tired and sagging offering no support or comfort. The paint in the pool and the deck area is chipping and in need of attention. The pool should have at least one railing for the steps into the pool for safety. The drain for the pool needs cleaning. Water backs up to the 2 enrty doors with a just a little amount rain. Black dirt settles on the deck under the table and chairs all the way to doors. So your always walking dirt and chips of paint into the house. And the grill is a rusty disgrace. We drove 20 hrs and picked up needed groceries before our 4:00 pm check in. 8am the next morning my exhausted family was abruptly awakened by a blast of a trumpeting doorbell that was the extermination company making their quarterly visit. We were not given advance notice of this visit and we were not made aware that they would need to go throughout the entire house. The homeowner was upset because the exterminator didn't want to inconvenience us and was returning after our stay.

When I booked this rental I only listed 7 people attending, according to their tule is 8 max, more if paid more, I didn’t not receive contract until day of rental, mention to the renter I had 10 people, 2 would stay at another hotel, sent an email confirmation of where the other two were going to stay, owner said it was fine, 2 hours from the rental (after driving 10 hours) I received a msg from vrbo saying owner cancelled my rental. They will not respond my calls or messages, very upset, they will not return my money and stayed I didn’t follow houses rules when I did not even make it to the house, and my confirmation proofs the other two family members had their own hotel!!!!
