Voit nauttia katsomassa purjeveneiden, hyttien risteilijöitÀ, rapuveneitÀ ja paljon muuta. Olemme myös sÀÀnnöllisesti vierailleet hanhet, hirvielÀimet ja laaja lintu-elÀmÀ. Kahden makuuhuoneen huoneistossa on tÀysin varustettu keittiö, oma patio ja runsaasti oleskelu- ja ruokailualueita.

Olemme sijaitsee aivan Quartermaster Drive -kadun varrella ja unohdamme sisÀkaupungin satamaa. Olemme lÀhellÀ Burtonin naapurustoa, jossa voit noutaa viime hetken tarvikkeita Harbor Mercantilessa, nauttia latteista ja hyvÀstÀ keskustelusta Burtonin kahvipöydÀssÀ, ruokailla kannella ja kokea melontaa ja meloa lennolle Jensen Pointissa Burtonin niemimaalla.

Olemme isovanhemmat ja heillÀ on paljon mitÀ tarvitset pienillekin, mukaan lukien kannettava pinnasÀnky, syöttötuoli, rattaat, lohkot, kirjat, tÀytetyt elÀimet ja paljon muuta! Kaikki toimipisteet ovat katettuja ja muita toimenpiteitÀ on toteutettu, jotta kotiisi sopii perheille. Great place

Perfect location to our daughter's house and our yearly reunion. Perfect place for 3 sixty plus sisters. Kitchen was great to make chili dinner to take for our crew. Beds comfy as was living space. Thank you!!

Jeanne has a really cozy place here! The porch with views of the harbor is a perfect place to have a coffee in the morning. Lots of thoughtful options for families with young children. Our 18 month old loved the board books and we appreciated the many sleeping set ups available. Our dog enjoyed playing with the hosts’ sweet yellow lab one morning. The house is very clean and the neighborhood is quiet but located a few minutes from a shopping street. The hosts also had great suggestions for what to do on the island. Only thing to note for travelers with young children is my toddler was surprised by the (normal!) noises from the host family upstairs. He struggled with that new kind of sound while sleeping. Overall this is a lovely place to stay and the hosts have excellent communication. I highly recommend it!

Great View and Convenient Vashon Island Location

We stayed three nights in the daylight basement unit that had a clear view of Quartermaster Harbor and Mt. Rainier in the distance. Parking for two cars is available. The kitchen is complete, the living area is a generous size. The bedrooms are large and not cramped. We would certainly stay there again.

Just what we needed

We needed an extra place for a family member who is Covid risk averse, and at the last minute needed a place for his father who has compromised immunity. Without hesitation Jeanne welcomed two more people into the space—lifesaver!

Ideal for a family with children

This is just as listed. Jeanne is a very friendly, relaxed host, willing to help with information about the island. It was just the two of us, but the place is spacious and is well set up for children and larger families. We loved perusing the book collection!

Wonderful escape

This is wonderful little escape from the fast pace. Deer in the yard every morning, plenty of awesome stuff to see near by, a great layout with everything we needed. The hosts are wonderful and so easy to talk to. Made sure we had everything we needed. We will be sure to stay here again when we come back!

Quiet and comfortable

The place was very comfortable and clean with lots of amenities. Jeanne was an organized and gracious host. Everything was labeled and easy to find and we all slept very well. Gorgeous views from the patio and close to a cute country store and coffee roasters. Highly recommend this stay!

Beautiful view

This was a very comfortable place to stay with a beautiful view of Quartermaster. It was very well decorated and had everything you need. Jeanne was very quick to answer the one question I had.

Perfect spot again this year!!

This was our second stay at Jeanne’s place and it did not disappoint! The location & value can’t be beat! We had deer in the yard daily delighting the kids, plenty of space and easy access to town, and Camp Sealth where our daughter attended day camp. This spot is great, and Jeanne does a great job of transparency about a bit of upstairs walking around noise (no bother to us!). Plan for no laundry (no biggie so long as you know). Last, I noticed some suggestions I made last year were implemented!! The new bedside power supplies with USBs were a welcome addition. Jeanne clearly cares about her guests and is a wonderful host! 5 stars!!

Lovely Stay

My husband, daughter and I had a lovely stay. The apartment was the downstairs floor of the owner’s home. It was very comfy and welcoming. We enjoyed the art on the walls, the comfy beds and had everything we needed for our stay on Vashon. The owners were kind and accommodating.

Wonderful place and lovely host

The apartment is great, really spacious but still has a relaxed and homely feel. The beds are really comfortable, and I slept well. Jeanne is a lovely lady and a great host, she made me feel very welcome and was there if I needed anything. The view from this property is stunning. The only reason I have put four stars instead of five for location is because there's nothing within walking distance.. Otherwise its a definite five for scenery and I felt totally safe. Would definitely come back, loved every second, thank you Jeanne!

Parking was a little wierd and one day the owner even asked me to pull up further another 3 ft which I just got done working 16 hours so not excited to do so. The place smelled like pets pretty heavily and since I am allergic, was not good. The upstairs is owner occupied so it feels like you are at someones house. It was really noisy between floors

Wonderful, pretty, quiet and clean - great locatio

We had a wonderful time staying here. Communication was great with owner for the entire process. Owner was accommodating to allow earlier check-in and I asked if there was an ironing board and iron one was put into the house! The house was clean, looked almost brand new and had everything we needed. Refrigerator looked brand new - everything clean & classy. Nice view of the water from the property and there was a deer that hung out most days on the front lawn. Our only regret is that we didn't stay there longer - 2 nights wasn't long enough to explore the island and have a real vacation! We hope to stay there in the future! Did I mention it came stocked with coffee and a coffee maker? That was greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Bill and Jeanne migrated from Southern California to Vashon Island in 1995. Bill is a retired television writer and Jeanne left her career as a producer and actress in Los Angeles and opened a small business on Vashon until she too retired in 2016.

Both are very active with Vashon's own FM radio station, Voice of Vashon.

Bill loves to garden and Jeanne is a veteran sailor. They both enjoy their two grandchildren who live nearby.

After multiple decades in the hills of Hollywood, Jeanne and Bill were ready for a new adventure. They had always been drawn to the Seattle area where Bill had relatives. On a trip to the Northwest to visit friends and family, Bill discovered Vashon Island. He knew he had found their new home. The island's rural character, incredible natural beauty, strong community, and proximity to Seattle felt just right. They moved here in 1995 just in time for their daughter to begin high school.

A few years ago, Jeanne and Bill decided to "downsize." As it turns out their new home is a little bigger than the one they left, but it is divided into two residences. They live in the upper residence and have renovated the lower residence for friends, family, and travelers.

After 18 years in a lovely home overlooking the inner Quartermaster Harbor from a distance, they now live a stone's throw from their beloved harbor and love watching the movement of the tides, the wild life, and the many boats that come and go at all times of the year. On a clear day, Mt Rainier graces them with her majestic presence.
