Tucked away within the stunning countryside, just to the north in between the market towns of Wadebridge and Bodmin, you will discover Keepers Cottage, forged from Cornish granite with a deep historical heritage.
Inside you will find an open-plan living space, with a modern kitchen and array of equipment, a corner sofa alongside a breakfast bar that doubles as a casual dining space. The staircase leads up to the first floor towards an inviting bedroom, a great place to get a relaxing night’s rest after exploring the delights the area has in store. The bathroom is superb, with a large double shower. The outside space has a small lawned garden to the front which includes seating, and a communal garden picnic area, where you are surrounded by pretty hedgerows.
A short distance downhill, the world-famous Camel Trail can be reached where you can cycle towards Padstow or Wenfordbridge. Within 3 miles are Pencarrow House and Gardens or Haywoods Cider Farm; a little further Bodmin Jail Experience, Bodmin’s heritage steam railway and Lanhydrock. There are routes to the Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and more besides. Scenic Tintagel, with its mysterious links to King Arthur and of course Port Isaac, are all within reach and offer walks, pubs, cafés and quirky cottages. To the south lies Fowey, within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, featuring wonderful architecture, the famous Regatta and a popular Christmas Market. Traditional pubs are close by for Sunday lunches, afternoon tea or evening meals, which all come highly recommended.
St Breward’s Poldark country is perfect for hiking explorers. Other scenic walks include St Necturns Glenn’s Waterfall, with many other scenic walks along the rugged Cornish north coastal paths. Amongst the many beaches nearby include Rock, Daymer Bay and Polzeath, offering a range of water sports. Perfect for couples, this cottage is a welcome getaway for those in search of a break from the hustles of busy life.
