Tule luomaan kauniita muistoja täysin uusittuun ja päivitettyyn kotiimme West Islandilla. Astu taaksepäin taaksepäin, kun huolet kuljetetaan, kun pyöräilet saaren tietä pitkin, kävellen yhdelle viidestä rannasta, vaeltamalla polkuja syrjäisille rannoille, kajakin Buzzards Baylle tai Nasketucket Baylle, katsellen kauniita auringonlaskuja tai istuen nuotion ympärillä. Relaxing get away

West Island is unique, sweet, quiet spot. Perfect to relax, spend time with family and enjoy outdoor activities. Beaches all near by and we found wonderful tennis/pickle courts at the beach at State Park Fort Phoenix just a 15 minute drive. Beth is as super helpful with any questions about the area and the house. The house had everything you could think of in the kitchen. We loved the fire pit for s’mores. Overall, just what we were looking for.

We were so thrilled with Beth and her home. We were looking for a bit more space for our little family, and this place was perfect. The island is great and a nice secluded little community. We hope to return next year.

Amazing first VRBO experience

This was our family of 4 first experience with a VRBO and it was amazing. The Sea Salt Cottage had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. We loved riding the bikes through out the island and the other amenities the cottage offered. Beth, the owner, was so easy to communicate with and offered so much information for activities to do in the area. I would highly recommend to anyone thinking of staying here.

Lovely cottage

we loved our stay at Sea Salt Cottage- the property was well kept and very clean. The kids enjoyed smores every night at the firepit, bike rides around the island and ice cream from West Island Creamery. Beth was also a very responsive host. Highly recommend a stay here- the cottage brought us back to our New England childhood!

Perfect beach getaway

Beth & Steve are amazing hosts! Sea Salt Cottage is a true gem. The location can't be beat: only a mile from the private beach on West Island and only 15 minutes from the New Bedford ferry terminal. The house is so comfortable inside and out, with a gorgeous kitchen, a cozy back porch, outdoor shower, swing, lawn for games, and a firepit. Our family has stayed at Sea Salt Cottage for four years in a row and can't wait to go back next year!

Relaxing and quaint getaway home

This property was as described in the listing. It was perfect for our family of 4. The house was clean and comfortable. The yard was perfect for playing and relaxing. Fabulous host and house

I rented the house to attend my daughter's wedding and it couldn't have been a more perfect home away from home. Kitchen was well stocked and the house was decorated beautifully. The host was very responsive and helpful. Bikes and cornhole came in handy!!

Beach vibe and feels like home

We LOVED our stay here. The house is beautiful with sooo many amenities...outdoor shower, swing, stunning back yard with flowers, playtoys, grill, comfy beds, awesome cafe porch, and a fully stocked and equipped kitchen. It's a great location too. Beth was very responsive and timely, as well as helpful for recommendations. You must eat at Off the Hook and take in the live music! Thank you Beth and Steve for sharing your beach home with us! We plan to return for sure!

A true gem

Every five star review for this home and the people who own it is well deserved. This is the only home I’ve ever rented where the reality was better than the description. It truly is a special place where every detail is considered. The owners are thoughtful, friendly and go above and beyond in every way imaginable. The home is comfortable, warm and inviting and an oasis away from everything, while being close enough to everything a person could want or need. I feel so fortunate to have found this special place and will definitely return.

Wonderful getaway!

We had a fantastic stay! The house is warm and inviting, well-maintained and beautifully decorated, very clean and stocked with everything we needed. The kitchen is definitely a highlight (of many highlights!), and the backyard was perfect for outdoor dining and play. We also loved West Island - beautiful and perfectly quiet, with easy access to trails, beach, and gorgeous views. Beth was very helpful, providing great suggestions for what to do, and also responding promptly to my questions. We really loved our stay at Sea Salt Cottage and would absolutely stay again!

The house was beautifully decorated without being precious. There were many places both inside and outside to relax. The three bedrooms are off the kitchen and the feeling of the rest of the house is open and bright. In the shed there were several bikes from which to choose. We hadn't been to West Island before; it's pretty sleepy...one ice cream place .1 mile away:) We mostly just hung around reading and eating ice cream every night and that worked for us! The island is very easy to figure out as it's an alphabetical grid. It seems like it would be a great place to bring kids because they could ride their bikes around without much worry.

Perfect New England Seaside Getaway

This place is just as the listing describes. Perfectly appointed house in a quiet residential neighborhood. Check in was quick and easy. Beth was the perfect host. Always quick with commmunication and available to answer any questions. The house, itself, is gorgeous. Huge eat in kitchen/ding room. Comfy living room and tons of high quality bedding for the guests. Where Sea Salt really shines though is in the outdoor space. Huge outdoor area with everything you need. Awesome fire pit (we used almost every night) and outdoor dining area. The outdoor shower has to be experienced to be believed. This isn’t a garden hose hanging off the gutter…this is a full hot/cold bathroom with a view of the stars. Definitely a highlight. We loved every minute of our stay.

West Island Wow factor!

My wife and I have just spent three special days at this beautiful property as part of our New England road trip. The cottage is stunning, situated in a quiet tree lined road on a small island connected to the mainland by a causeway. On arriving at the island it is almost like stepping back in time, everybody is so polite and friendly and the only sounds to be heard are the sound of the ocean and birdsong. The cottage itself is beautifully furnished, so comfortable, with modern appliances and sea themed art and ornaments. The bed is very comfortable, and the living room so very welcoming and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and modern. We both loved the cottage and would be hard pressed to find a single fault. Bicycles are provided for use on the island, and the cottage is no more than 400 metres from the sea in any direction, with beautiful beaches and good walks. Our dealings with Beth were prefect, .Beth responded quickly to our contact and was very helpful in messaging with little tips for things to do, and checking in that we were ok, the very best of hosts. We will always remember our time at Sea Salt Cottage and would return in a heartbeat. Thank you Beth. Thank you Sea Salt Cottage and West Island.

Wonderful stay

My family of four adults had a wonderful weekend. This home is beautifully decorated and very comfortable with many amenities. We especially loved the landscaping and the backyard fire pit area. We rode the bikes around the island, took walks, played corn hole and thoroughly enjoyed being together. Thank you for making your home available for us to enjoy.

Perfect beach getaway

Sea Salt Cottage is beautifully designed and decorated, and has everything you need for a relaxing getaway: beach, porch sitting area, firepit, outdoor shower, bright and spacious kitchen, quiet neighborhood, ice cream shop and restaurant within walking distance, and more. This was our fifth stay here, and we will be back!

Wonderful Island Escape!

Walking into Happiness

Someone obviously took great pleasure in decorating and outfitting this house. It had absolutely everything we needed and everything else to make a vacation incredible. The furnishings, the linens, the kitchen utensils, the outdoor bath..the backyard furniture, the back deck.....It was sublime.

Great Vacation Home

I have never stayed in a rental that had such a well stocked kitchen-from spices to flour to every possible cooking utensil. Kitchen/dining and living room well appointed with a spacious private back shaded yard, gas grill, fire place, and comfortable outdoor furniture . Storage shed with bikes, beach chairs and children's beach toys .Corn Hole game as well. Close to the town beach.

Husband and wife team who love to turn around that worn down old house, old cottage or old camp and create a space filled with attention to all the little things. We find so much joy in planting flowers and trees and watching them grow around our yard. Well, I get the plants and place them and Steve ends up planting and digging way more than I do. Lol. Steve loves architecture, building and creating new spaces and I love designing and decorating and searching for unique treasures. Together we have created Sea Salt Cottage .

I, Beth sell real estate, and I am always asking my husband Steve to just look at this one property with me. I grew up in Maine near the oceans and lakes and water of any type has drawn me to it . I decided to look for ocean property anywhere before the bridges of Cape Cod. I didn't want to deal with the traffic of the Cape. I saw a listing that read, do you want to live on an island? West island is all the great feelings you had growing up as child where summers were endless. I wanted to create an atmosphere that bought back the whimsy of a childhood, the time worn love of all things old, the pure radiance of color in all things new, in a place where all around you created a peaceful ocean mood . My design started with the custom hand blown lights in the kitchen created for me from Providence Art Glass and just evolved from the colors blown into this glass and all the items I searched for and found along the way. It was so exciting to see this house transform into what you will find today.

When I travel I always look and love to find the unique place with all the little details that together form exactly what I dreamed about or imagined from that great book, a place where my family and I would look back in years to come and remember that was a perfect beach house and an amazing vacation holiday.
