Nestled on a beautiful Florentine hill, Villa il Frassine is surrounded by vines, olive trees and fruit trees. The suggestive entrance to the villa is via an avenue surrounded by the private estate's vineyards. The house is enclosed by a beautiful garden tastefully enriched with pots of flowers, cypresses and other trees. The entire property extends for approximately 50 hectares. In the section of the garden that is at the same level as the villa, there is a large wooden table with two benches, great for outdoor dining, as well as a stone-work barbecue. About 30 meters from the villa, via 2 flights of stone stairs, you access the rectangular above-ground swimming pool measuring 3x8 with a depth of 1.40 metres, completely fenced with natural hedges, equipped with sun loungers, a large umbrella and outdoor shower. All outdoor areas are well maintained and cared for. Parking is located inside the property.Interior
The villa dating back to 1700 has been renovated by the owners themselves, keeping the flavor of the past intact. All electrical and water systems are of recent installation. The raised ground floor is accessible via 2 flights of stone stairs, into a large living room with a refined wooden table in the middle, antique sofas covered in prestigious fabrics, a working fireplace; on the right, a large well-equipped kitchen, a living room with balcony, comfortable sofas, satellite TV, wooden table; via a passage lounge with an ancient piano (not usable), you enter the sleeping area consisting of two double bedrooms, one of which has a double canopy bed and one with a small panoramic balcony, connected to each other with a private bathroom with shower.
From the living room, via an ancient wooden staircase, you reach the first floor with four double bedrooms, one of which with a private bathroom with shower, and another bathroom with shower with white majolica ceramic shell decorated with blue flowers.
It is certainly worth mentioning that the blue-tinged room consisting of a double bed and period furniture was inhabited by the famous physicist Enrico Fermi when he resided at the villa during his summer stays in the 1940s. In a separate room on the ground floor there is a laundry room with washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board. On the left side of the villa, with an independent entrance, lives the owner, a point of reference for guests.

Villa Il Frassine is located in Rignano sull'Arno within the homonymous farm on one of the most beautiful hills of the Florentine Chianti. The property is surrounded by 50 hectares of vineyards, olive groves and fruit trees, offering a beautiful panorama. Inside the farm it is possible to purches wine (Sangiovese and Cabernet), olive oil, fruit and vegetables. The olive oil is the precious gem of the farm, produced through cold press process. Inside the villa, guests will find the wonderful restored farm cellars, offering their guests the possibility of tasting the oil and wines produced within the estate. Important information
The swimming pool is open from the 1st of May to the 30th of September. Pets are allowed upon payment of €50/pet/stay. Access to the house via 500 meters of gravel road.Activities and Distances
We are in Rignano sull'Arno, a municipality in the metropolitan city of Florence, important for textile production as well as agricultural production based on the cultivation of olive trees and vines. In the municipal area, it is also worth noting the presence of some big names in the fashion field and the proximity of the two outlet districts "The Mall" and "Dolce & Gabbana".
All the neighboring towns, Figline and Incisa Valdarno, Greve in Chianti, Pelago, Pontassieve, Reggello, are easily reachable by car. Florence is about half an hour away, Siena about 1 hour and 20 minutes.
