Town: Brigsteer is a hamlet between the towns of Helsington and Levens and about five miles from Kendal in Cumbria. Brigsteer is located on the edge of the Lyth valley with Scout Scar overlooking the village itself. Village amenities include a village hall and a local pub called The Wheatsheaf Inn. There are still three working farms in the village of Brigsteer with many more developments having been built since. Nearby Levens has more amenities including a general store/newsagent and a pub. Levens consists of a huddle of fine, stone-built traditional houses, cottages and barn conversions surrounded by unspoilt countryside, with varied flora and fauna and a nature reserve providing beautiful walking country. Kendal is further away being known as the Southern Gateway to the Lakes, being ideally placed for exploring South Lakeland, the Yorkshire Dales and beyond.
