Ideal for a weekend getaway

This cozy condo was perfect for me and my husband with our three kids. It has the most amazing view of the ocean and is literally right on the beach. Everything was very clean. I especially love the small things, in particular, the starter kit of soaps and sponge by the sink. That was great, especially just for the three days we were there. Highly recommend!

Comfort!

Thank you for providing such a beautiful, clean and safe place!! The description was spot on! The view was just gorgeous. Everything you need was provided. The host made it so easy with directions and check in. We loved waking up to the sound of the waves and the seagulls. The sunsets were beautiful. We will definitely stay here again!! Thank you!!

Lovely updated beachfront unit

This unit is in an older complex but has been thoughtfully and tastefully updated. We had great beach views from the balcony.

Close to beach, but had several problems

We loved that the beach was in actual walking distance and that the king bed was so comfortable! The building itself is outdated, as there were cracks in the ceilings. There was a 12 hour delay when a storm came through and knocked out the power, which put a damper on our honeymoon.

Florence Condo stay Aug 2022

I read some of the reviews before booking this location. Most reviews were dead on about the air conditioning cooling exceptionally well, and the view was on point. Besides those two remarks, the place needs some serious renovating. I understand it is a rental, and the owners don't mind the condition of the unit however, for renters, this place needs some TLC. This unit has lots of potentials, but someone needs to take a little more pride in this rental. I would love to take on the challenge of renovating this unit.

Can’t beat the view

Overall good, parking passes were not left , sent picture of a flyer asking us to keep patio door closed and was told that was parking pass. Notice was placed on our car saying we would be towed. Property manager responded right away with correct passes. Patio door still not fixed from previous reviews. Don’t shut all the way or you will be stuck. Hot tub wasn’t working, but location is perfect!!

Fantabulous vacation!

We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed being right on the beach and having a patio overlooking the Gulf Coast. The condo was clean (to some degree), the bed and couch were comfortable, there was excellent wifi, and great AC to keep us cool during the 100+ degree temps. There were a few minor issues during the four days we were there; only one roll of toilet paper, 1/2 roll of paper towels, no filters for the coffee pot, a broom but no dustpan (we took up the rug and swept a huge pile of sand into the corner of the living room upon arriving), extremely low water pressure which made it difficult to actually shower, and worn patio furniture (one chair was cracked/broken and unusable with a sharp piece of plastic poking through). Despite the minor inconveniences... including the elevator being out of order an hour before we had to check out and carrying everything we brought, plus our 60lb elderly dog, down three flights of stairs... we truly enjoyed ourselves and would definitely consider staying here again.

South Padre great/condo unit not so much

Location of Florence 1 is in a great location and a nice place for sure. The gates had very touchy systems to open which is frustrating when your hands are full. . The condo itself is in a good location but needs some updating and maintenance. The mattress was old and the footboard was dangerous. The bedroom closet stunk. Couldn’t put anything in the closet or chest in the closet. Some lights were out. The couch was very uncomfortable.

Parking stinks and there is no private washer/dryer

On your web site it states the property has a private Washer and dryer but this is untrue and needs to be fixed. Parking is bad, there are a few covered spaces and even less parking spaces in front of the building but all are taken most of the time so you have to park down the block and across the street. Your web site didn’t say anything about this and upon arrival after dark it’s hard to figure out where the extra parking is.

Great Condo (October 2023)

I'll start with the negatives which are really small ones. Toilet paper holder needs to be fixed, kept falling off which was annoying when staying a full week. Toilet paper was VERY rough, so we bought our own. Needs a new trash can in bathroom, when you go to step on the peddle to open trash can it doesn't work. Now the good parts. The bed was very soft and comfortable. I even have low back issues and leg pains at night and when I slept on this bed I had significantly REDUCED pain. The bedroom was nicely done. My boys loved the built in bunk beds and where comfortable. Living room was lovely. We loved being right on the beach. The whole place was just wonderful. Now we did go on the "off season," but I felt safe enough also to let my early teen boys go on the beach by themselves. We were able to watch them from the balcony. We absolutely loved our week long stay and didn't want to leave.

Great Location, but Needs TLC

This is a great location right on the beach! The building is older, but well maintained. The condo has potential, but is needs to be taken care of. The tile floor in the living area has some cracks and broken tiles that have been poorly patched. The wall and the ceiling are also cracked in the living area. The cabinet doors in the bathroom are so swollen and warped that they will not close at all. The ceiling fan in the bedroom rattles and creaks. The balcony door is very difficult to close completely and lock. The dishes and utensils were so worn and dingy looking that we used disposable ones. I washed anything else before we used it. The stove worked, but had rust on it. We were only given one key for the condo, but I noticed all the other condos have key pads. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were good, but the bed covers were very thin like a sheet and no blankets were provided. The A/C works great!

A good place for a couple.

Beach and oceanfront is a stonesthrow from the balcony. Location is a short bicycle ride from lots of restaurants, grocery store, and nature preserves.

Had a great time.

I stayed at this place because of the location! It did not disappoint. The view was fantastic and to have the beach at the door was amazing. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook some delicious meals. The beds were very comfortable. The only negative's I have is that the floors were filthy. Upon arriving and walking bare foot on floors our feet turned black and sand was everywhere. I took time to sweep the floors correctly. It was very hard with no dust pan. I used the bath towel to "mop" the floors. The towel turned black from all the filth from the floor. If there was a proper mop I would of mopped myself. I know the next people to stay will get cleaner floors bc of the work I did. In addition if the owners can fix the patio door. We accidentally locked ourselves out. My daughter also locked herself out and had to have the neighbor come and get us. Nice location!

This place was exactly what we needed, a place to relax on the beach! Quiet condo community, parking is convenient and plenty of restraunts nearby. This place has all the basics covered, comfortable beds, good a/c and a balcony that provides great sunrise views and shade in the afternoon.
