Awesome house in a cool vibe town!

Loved everything about this renovated house! Modern upgrades but still kept its historic flair. So comfortable for a family of 4! We loved cooking breakfast and sitting out on the back patio...saw a few deer one of the mornings too! It is in a great location with quick walk around the corner to everything. We just loved walking the neighborhoods and into town for dinner. The town has such a genuine and kind vibe to it. Everyone was so nice, chatty and helpful. We felt so welcomed! The cruiser bikes with the house were an added bonus! We rented two more bikes at Absolute bikes around the corner and did a really fun ride along the Arkansas! We have all decided unanimously that we can't wait to come back to Salida and to this perfect little home away from home!!! Thank you for sharing it with us!

Great place

We had a great time staying in the Railroad Cottage. Perfect blend of 120 year old touches with modern updates. Looking forward to staying there again!

Thanksgiving weekend in Salida

We really enjoyed the duplex. It was clean, new appliances, grill, great location, well-stocked! Everything was new and nice in a Victorian setting! We had a ton of fun using the bicycles...that was a great perk!

Great spot! Clean, modern, and fun.

We loved being just a few minutes' walk from downtown Salida! This little place is just the right size for a cozy pad while you come and go from adventures, meals, and other hangouts around town.

Second time here!

This was my second stay here though with a different group of people. Such a great accommodation and location! Having the outside backyard is wonderful. I can't recommend this place highly enough!

Salida Oasis

This property is beautifully maintained, extremely clean and was accurately represented in the listing. I couldn’t have been more pleased with the comfort and location of this adorable little Railroad Cottage. I won’t stay anywhere else when I hopefully return next year.

Needs more attention

Giving this a 3 star because when we arrived it hadn't been cleaned at all. We wanted to enjoy our honeymoon but the first evening we spent disinfecting and doing laundry. One of the bikes had a flat tire. The ceiling fans were so dusty we couldn't turn them on until we dusted and there was no AC (which is stated in listing). The wifi was very spotty and the light in twin bedroom didn't work. The next afternoon the cleaner came into the bnb without knocking though we were in the middle of watching a movie. Our car was obviously parked in front and the tv was on but she still came right on in and looked around. I'm sure this isn't usually the case but we felt like the amount of miscommunication with the cleaner, the disruptions, and lack of making sure everything was ready proved to not be a professional vrbo experience. For the price I think the owners need to pay more attention. The owners did refund us the cleaning fee and tried to help us fix the bike but this was the worst experience with a vrbo we have had. I am a cleaner and I know the most important thing is to communicate and check with owners every time I'm supposed to clean to make sure guests have the experience they are paying for. Could be a great place but the standard needs to be raised to earn a 5 star review.

Fantastic Home

I stayed at Courtney's place for the weekend with my wife and infant son. It's a beautiful home that has been nicely renovated and is perfectly located in town. We could easily pop back home to grab anything needed for the little guy. We would happily stay here again.

My family of 4 enjoyed our stay very much. The house is comfortable, however there is so much to do in Salida we didn't spend too much time there. We were able to walk everywhere in town we wanted to go. Definitely go whitewater rafting at Independent Whitewater!

Great get away

The house was a great up to-date place with a great kitchen with all the utensils needed. Just a short walk from downtown Salida. Loved seeing the deer walk by.

Railroad Cottage

We loved our stay at the cottage, it was close to everything we were there for. We were able to walk to our activities and great place to watch the fireworks at the mountain! Highly recommend this property!

Colorado vacation

Beautiful cottage very clean and the location is great! My family enjoyed it very much!! I do have to agree though with a previous renter that the queen bed was uncomfortable. Sorry! Maybe a pillow top cushion for those of us that can’t sleep on a very firm mattress? Otherwise a perfect rental!

Loved the Railroad Cottage!

Simply put, staying here was wonderful in every way. The cottage itself was absolutely precious and the location can’t be beat. I only wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely be back!

Salida sweet

Clean and great location. We had a fun little stay and wish it could have been a day or two more. My husband and daughter took the bikes out for a little ride around town and ran in to some issues, but one call to Jeff and Courtney and we had a solution. They were bummed that bikes were out of commission for the rest of our time, but appreciated the responsiveness. We loved the patio and fresh air! Cottage was within walking distance to everthing we were interested in doing....and even found some things we werent planning on. Hot springs aren't far and a fun little side trip, too. We will definitely check this out again if in Salida and would definitely recommend to friends.

Lovely place close to everything.

Just as promised we could walk to all shops and restaraunts downtown, the grocery store was basically next door. Riverside pathway 5 minutes away. Really great location and cute place.

Clean and close

The property was spotless. It was very close to town; walking distance to everything; and I was pretty blown away when I went to cook dinner and saw that they had everything I needed. Even sharp knives. I'm a foodie and I cook and so it was nice to be able to host friends outside without any fuss.
