Great location in Kihei, away from Kaanapali

Our family 2 adults + 2 children tayed at this property in late June, early July 2024 and we enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Kehei is a nice beach town and this property is right across the street from Kamaole III beach park, which is a fantastic spot if you have kids! The property was clean, comfortable, and pricing was reasonable. Overall, it was good value.

Good Location. Great Sunsets

Property was as advertised. Nice location with great sunsets. Walking distance to some shops and restaurants, and a quick drive to others plus supermarkets. Nice park & beach across the road. Unit was well stocked with everything you need including beach chairs and coolers. Close to pool and BBQs. Bathroom could use an update. Overall a good stay. Would recommend Hale Kamaole.

Just as expected

We had stayed at Hale Kamaole before so we knew what to expect. The photos represented the property accurately. For the price this was a pleasant place to stay. We appreciated comfortable bed, the new microfiber towels, the ample beach chairs, and the laundry soap provided. The property could use a coffee grinder and some lightweight blankets for the sofa beds. It was a wonderful trip.

Great Stay

Overall we have great experience! Perfect location, steps from a gorgeous beach and walking distance to restaurants. The condo had everything we needed - beach chairs, umbrella and cooler provided... the only issue we ran into was the AC unit in the living room had problems throughout the whole stay and there is definitely an opportunity to be a little cleaner... Dan was easy to communicate with as well. We would definitely return and recommend this unit to future guests.

Perfect location! Family of 4. Unit's a little tired...

Family of 4 stayed Christmas week with car. 2 kids: 15 & 21. Quiet location at the end of Kihei strip. Kids can walk to all Kamaole beaches, shops, restaurants at night. Fun. Sunsets were perfect from the lanai every night! Sports closet with beach gear was a bonus (donated our bodyboard for next group). Unit could use minor upgrades. Furniture is old. Not enough bedding and weekly bathroom supplies for 4. Mahalo!

Enjoyable stay

Overall experience was positive. Had issue with microwave but was fixed quickly. While hideabed was not used the couch was not really in good shape. Also had many insects in kitchen area. Still this condo would be at the top of our list when we return next year.

Great Location

This condo was perfect for our family, which is myself, my husband and our two boys (4 & 6). The location can't be beat and this condo even had a beautiful ocean view off the lanai. We love Kamole Park 3 and it's just a short walk across the street. The beach at the park is also wonderful and we had many turtle sightings during our visit. This condo has 2 pools so the pool area never seemed over crowded and was a very nice atmosphere. We also used the community BBQ's to cook our dinner many nights. Overall this Maui trip was a great success and we would stay at this condo again.

Great location

Overall we were happy with the accommodation. Kihei is a great central location on the island and there are a lot of very accessible beach areas with great snorkelling, restaurants, and shops close by. There was a great storage area in the condo connected to the balcony where all the beach accessories could be stored and hung to dry. There were a few downsides, though they were minor. There seemed to be a fair bit of sand on the floor and this was the first time we had cockroaches in an accommodation. We're aware that Hawaii is a tropical destination, but we've visited several of the islands without seeing any before so it was a bit surprising. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The location is great, and has a view of the ocean and Haleakala from the balcony.

A beautiful place!!

Comfortable, great king bed. Location, Location, location!! Enjoyed watching the ocean and sunsets...also loved the Horn Blowers at sunset!! Pool area small but served its purpose. Grounds are in beautiful shape! The entire unit was actually much larger than I thought and would really be a comfortable place to stay for an extended period of time; unfortunately we only had 2 nights! Did I mention location! To the beach, to the stores, to restaurants....all walking distance....We will be back!! PS. The only thing that I would love added to these type of units is a type of hospitality room...we had to check out by 10 and our flight only left at midnight so it would be awesome if you could clean up somewhere (for a small fee) after the day and before the flight, without having to pay for another full night. Also, the beach chairs could use replacing, one was actually broken.

There were bugs in the apartment. They had scheduled exterminator to show up right on the next day after our arrival and I did not want them to spray things while we had our stuff around. They could have done the extermination stuff prior to our arrival. Quite few bugs showed up in the kitchen. Other thing is that I had to return a day earlier. But the property managers do not have policy to refund those days of early checkout. This is unlike many hotels I have stayed it, these other hotels had a no-questions refund policy for early checkout.

A perfect vacation spot for us and the kids

This place was fantastic. My Wife and I, along with our three children under 12 years old, stayed here and it was perfect. We slept in the bedroom and the two fold out beds were perfect for the kids. There is a pool literally right downstairs, and a beach right across the road - you are there in about 90 seconds. You can see the sunset (which is stunning) every night from the balcony which we also loved. Everything was smooth, we will be back!

Clean and great location

The property was nice and well maintained, our place was clean and had everything we need. The view was amazing and we watched whales from the lanai every day.We love this location with the kamaole beach 3 and park right across the street.

Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this condo. The pull out bed was comfortable as well as the main bed. Kitchen had everything we needed. We really enjoyed this location. I would definitely go back!

The suite was nice, quiet, relaxing and clean on the surface, but there were cockroaches, small ones in the kitchen and the bedroom. Check in was at 4 pm, but the cleaner was still there, just for another 15 minutes. Overall very enjoyable stay. I would go back.

View and Location a Plus

Over the years we have stayed in many units in Hale Kamaole. We love the complex, its amenities and its location. Even though this unit wasn't the newest, up-to-date remodel, it was satisfactory. However, the kitchen cabinets were built for very tall people and at 6 feet, they still were a stretch for us. Appliances are all very nice. The drinking glass supply was dismal but the supply of dishes was endless. We were surprised to have to deal with some bugs in the kitchen, though, since we never had any such experiences in other units we've rented whether on the first, second or third floors. We did report this to the cleaning gals as we left the unit. The bathroom shower definitely needs to be overhauled; otherwise, the bathroom cabinets are nice and adequate. Bedroom linens and bed are good. Dining and living room furniture are adequate and, once we were shown how to get channels on the TV, we were able to watch some programs. We really enjoyed the beach chairs and umbrella and the fantastic microfiber beach towels. The view and the location of the unit are very good, and so, we can recommend the unit if you're not looking for something deluxe.
