Se on viehättävä 2 1/2 tunnin ajomatka Chugachin vuoristoon Ted Stevensin kansainväliselle lentokentälle ja vain 25 minuutin matkan päässä Kenai Municipal Airportilta, joka on 30 minuutin lento Anchorageen.
Kiinteistö sijaitsee 1 kilometrin päässä maailmankuulusta Kenai-joesta ja vain 15 minuutin päässä Soldotnasta - koti maailmanennätyksestä King Salmon. Kalastusmatkoillesi molemmin puolin niemimaalla se on vain 1/2 tuntia Homeriin tai Sewardiin, jossa on monia pieniä kaupunkeja matkan varrella ja vain 45 minuuttia Venäjän joelle lähellä kauniita Cooper Landingin kaupunkeja. Valokuvamahdollisuuksiasi varten on myös useita luonnonkaunis vedoksia.

Tämä kaunis 2400 neliömetrin 2-kerroksinen hirsitalo sijaitsee 2. 5 hehtaarin suuruisella alueella ja on perustettu suurille perheille tai kaveriporukalle. On myös ylimitoitettu ajotieltä / pysäköintialue, johon mahtuu asuntoautoja, veneitä tai perävaunuja.

This was our second time staying at this property and it was perfect! The owners have thought of everything. The location was great as a base camp, and our large group had everything that we needed to enjoy 7 nights on the Kenai Peninsula. We especially enjoyed the outdoor areas, fire pit, yard games and covered porch. We spent every evening playing games and talking about our adventures from the day. Thanks again, Painters!

Family Salmon Run

Beautiful property that was perfect for the salmon run. With a family of 10 people, this cabin was spacious and met our needs. Owners were fantastic and welcoming. Jodi was so kind to pick up groceries for breakfast due to our late night arrival and offered to let us stay later in the day for our late night departure. We will definitely book again if available when we come back to Alaska.

As advertised!

I don’t think a better VRBO exists on the Kenai Peninsula. Jodi and Erik were outstanding hosts. They have the mindset of trying to set you up with everything you’d need/want on an Alaskan vacation. So thorough and thoughtful. I knew they had supplies but I did not know they took so much time and effort to make sure everything was perfect. Jodi was so responsive if we ever had a question or a need. We had a group of 10 ages 16-71 and everyone had a great time, from fishing, bbq, yard games and recommendations… everything was perfect!

Great Vacation Stay

Location was very centralized for our itinerary. Kitchen was perfect for cooking and feeding 12 adult men for two weeks. Our host was very accommodating and helpful. Looking forward to coming back in the future!

The property was beautiful and so clean. It had everything we needed, including some furry friends that live outside! The owners were so sweet and answered any questions immediately. We had 8 adults and 1 toddler stay for a week and it was perfect! Couldn't recommend more!

Incredible property!

Great house and yard. Very thoughtful and responsive owners. Eric and Jody were incredibly easy to work with and communicate with. House was in great shape and location seems remote but is close to everything you need. Would definitely rent here again.

We had a blast. We used the house for a weekend base camp. We went to Seward and then checked in and toured Homer. As a resident of Anchorage we visit Soldatna often and this place is amazing! Loved the atmosphere and property! Thank you for sharing your place with us!

The Moose Lodge

We arrived and checked in a little early. Everyone in our family was amazed with the accommodations provided by Jodi and Erik. From the ready to use kitchen to the comfy beds this house, the location and everything about it were just perfect for our 10 day vacation. I would recommend this propety to everyone looking for a quiet, off the beaten path get away. The cow moose and her 2 calves visited often and were a sight for all to see.

So fun!

We had such a great stay!! There is no stone left unturned for family fun! The house is in a great location for fishing during the day and everything you need for family fun at night. We played badminton, cornhole, horseshoes and s’mores by the fire were a hit! The house is very cozy and had everything we needed for our traveling family of 5. (4 adults and an 11 yr old) The beds are super comfortable and the kitchen is just amazing! Jodi went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and settled and it was greatly appreciated! We’d go back anytime!!

Amazing family vacation

Erik and Jodi’s home was the perfect place for our family trip to Alaska. They we’re very helpful and made sure our vacation was amazing. We had 3 generations at the property and it provided us with a lifetime of memories. The location was excellent, the house was clean, it was stocked with everything you need and had lots of space for the kids to play on the property. They had a blast playing badminton, horse shoes, corn hole and tag. The fish cleaning station was great and they even have a pellet grill for smoking and grilling. We had a nice fire each night that we sat around told our fish stories. I would highly recommend this house. We hope to do another family vacation there again. Thank you!

Perfect Place

This home was amazing for our annual dip netting trip to the Kenai Peninsula. The owners, Erik and Jodi are especially helpful and go out of their way to be accommodating. They were very quick with responses to messages and Jodi will go out of her way to communicate with you prior to your arrival to ensure that everything is set up the way that you want. The home is very nice and was perfect for our needs. It is plenty big enough for larger groups and the room with the bunk beds worked well for our friends with the larger family. One of our families had a 3 yr old and the owners had set their room up with a little Toddler cot, which was perfect for them. There is an array of games and toys available in the upstairs TV area, which had plenty of room for play. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, storage containers and an assortment of spices. The most beneficial part of this home was the presence of a fish cleaning station and the outdoor freezer and refrigerator to store the fish in. It was a huge asset to have, as this was our main reason for our trip. The weather was great for us the entire stay and the outdoor space was also a really big plus! The swing set came in handy for the little one and there is also a badminton and horseshoe pit for the others. There's a nice fire pit with plenty of chairs to sit around the pit. We couldn't use it due to the fire ban at that time, but it looked really nice. We just can't say enough good things about this property and the owners. We have already booked it again for next year and plan to make this our place to stay for our annual trip. Thanks again, Jodi and Erik. Blayne and Laura White

Our stay included 8x retired military on a guys fishing trip for 10 days (Russian River Reds/Homer Halibut). The cabin was extremely well equipped and had everything we needed and more. Greatly appreciate everything. It was an absolute pleasure meeting you guys!

A slice of paradise in Alaska

We were pleasantly surprised at how wonderful this home and property were. We knew it would be from the photos, but in person it's even better! Perfect for the 7 of us! We loved the location! Had a blast playing badminton, smores by the fire pit and just enjoying the surroundings. The house itself is fabulous, great space, super clean and was perfect for our group. Owners were quick to answer any questions, and very helpful with information. We were so sad to leave. Location is perfect as it's in between Seward & Homer. Thank you so much!

Born and raised in Cooper Landing, Alaska, Erik helped his parents with Painter’s Packers, a horse packing business in the Chugach National Forest. In his teen years Erik worked for a local business eventually becoming a fishing guide on the Kenai River. By 1995, Erik was at work in the Prudhoe Bay oilfield.

Jodi lived in a few different states but found her home in Alaska. Growing up in Oregon as a young girl then moving to Pahrump, NV. as a teen, where she worked in the family restaurant for 7 years. In 1993 she moved to Cooper Landing Alaska.

Erik and Jodi married in 1996 moving from Cooper Landing to Sterling in 2000. This home in Sterling, where they raised 4 boys, became the center of many gatherings for family & friends sharing stories, laughter, delicious meals, and making memories.

After all the wonderful years spent in this home Erik & Jodi are ready to spend their summers back in Cooper Landing leaving this home available for you to enjoy.
