Highly Recommend!

What a perfect stay! Dawnita's condo and the Grand Caribe Resort were exactly as promised. Dawnita is an awesome communicator & host. First, the property is beautiful. San Pedro has a bit of a third-world feel to it but Grand Caribe is like the garden of Eden. The staff are friendly and helpful, The pools and grounds are pristine, and everything in the condo is very high quality. We decided before arriving not to rent a golf cart because our goal was to spend most of our time relaxing at the resort. We did walk into town twice (2 miles) and we rode bikes to Crocs and the Truck Stop. We would have felt safer in a golf cart and next time, we'll definitely rent one. The road to San Pedro is extremely busy, especially now as Ambergris Caye is booming with construction. There are no sidewalks until you get to town and very little shoulder to walk on. It felt like you were taking your life in your own hands at times. The locals are very pleasant and one couple gave us a ride on their cart. Do check out The Truck Stop. It was a really fun night. While there is a healthy reef right on the property, it's in fairly shallow water and we didn't see many fishes. We did a day snorkeling trip out to the Blue Hole which was pretty amazing. Nurse sharks and spotted eagle rays stole the show. You could tell from restaurant seating and the vacant pools that August is the off season. We actually loved that. Most of the time we had the pool all to ourselves and the water almost felt heated!

Beautiful resort!

Property is beautiful and immaculate. Very comfortable beds and kitchen had everything we needed. The only downside is that it is a 15 minute golf cart ride to town/restaurants. There are restaurants on the property which are wonderful but expensive. Dawnita was wonderful and very responsive and we just had a wonderful time. We loved checking out the kayaks and snorkel gear provided at the resort and spending our days in the beautiful ocean right off the property. This was a beautiful unit to stay in and we just couldn’t be more pleased!

Loved our stay in paradise

Our stay at the Grand Caribe Resort was everything that we had hoped. We arrived on the island and were met by the hotel shuttle. Once on the property the staff were so helpful, check-in was quick and easy. Our room was beautiful and had a relaxing view of the ocean. It was located just a short walk to the pool as well. The room has a well stocked kitchen, a comfortable sitting area, as well as space on the patio to eat a meal. We loved our time at Grand Caribe Resort and would be eager to rent this condo on future visits.

Awesome relaxing vacation

The staff is very friendly. Accommodations are comfortable. Must dos are exploring the reef snorkeling or diving and the ATM cave. It is hard to pick a bad place to eat. The food is good. We will be back.

Amazing Stay

Grand Caribe is an amazing 5-star resort. The grounds and service are impeccable. Our condo was excellent with all the amenities needed for a 2 week stay (2 weeks may have been a little long for us). Concierge did a great job booking local flights and arranging pick-up from the airport. Daily housekeeping was a bonus along with laundry service. Wifi router was a little touchy and needed to be reset a couple of times, but not a big deal.

We absolutely loved this stay. We were first timers to Belize and the communication was so comforting! The condo was clean, spacious and my morning spot was the deck with coffee! Thank you for such a fantastic place to stay! B1 is number one!

Thanks for a memorable island vacation!

Rental is well located with several restaurants within walking distance. Staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Booking excursions through Grand Caribe was also flawless. Greatly appreciated on-site COVID testing to return home. Only wish would be that the beachfront portion of the property had better waters/ was more visited but got great beachfront time at nearby public beaches!

Great Vacation in Belize

Another fabulous stay at Grand Caribe in Belize. Love the location and all the amenities. This is a wonderful resort. The hosts for the property were supportive and easy to communicate with on any minor concerns. Loved the bikes!

Great stay at Grand Caribe B1 is an excellent unit!

We had a wonderful time at Grand Caribe and especially enjoyed staying on the first floor with amazing viewed right by the main pool. The location was perfect with easy access to the beach and pool and dock. The fully equipped condo had everything we needed, the master bed was the most comfortable hotel/resort bed I have ever slept on! The facilities were all very clean, staff friendly, good location.. overall wonderful trip. Highly recommend working with Dawnita if you choose to stay at Grand Caribe.

Great stay

Everything from booking to flight back to Belize City was seamless with Dawnita and the Grande Caribe staff. The Condo is modern, spacious and well-maintained and the property easily accessible yet far enough away from town to feel secluded. The resort is expanding but there were no sales pitches or pressure - staff was professional and warm. We would not hesitate to book again.

Great break from reality

This is a great place to vacation. The resort is the best on the island. The rooms are amazing, pools excellent and the staff is at the top of their game. Highly recommend this location. It is not too far north of town, but away from the hustle of town and not a far drive to Secret Beach (which I highly recommend). Met some great people there, including a family that also owns there. I was traveling there to look at property and this location is high on my list. If you are looking for some relaxing fun in the sun, this is a great place to do that. Good food at the resort and a short walk to other options right on the beach.

We traveled the Caribbean and found that after a while every island started to look the same, with their Diamonds International, and thatched roof Starbucks - that is until we visited Ambergris Caye.

The waters surrounding Ambergris Caye are too shallow for cruise ships to dock, thus the island has escaped becoming the tourist traps that many have succumbed to.

Our small island is home to only 22,000 people, and every restaurant, shop and tour is owned and run by local people with a friendly Belizian flaire that you won't find anywhere else. There are no chains or franchises, just wonderful, eclectic local gems to be discovered as you explore the island.

We loved the fact that Belize is English speaking and the U.S. dollar is accepted just like the Belizian dollar at a rate of 1 USD to every 2 BZE, which makes it super easy to pay for dinner!

After some research we discovered that Grand Caribe is the nicest resort on the island. Grand Caribe is truly a five star resort with top notch staff who want nothing more than to make your vacation one you'll remember for a lifetime. When we travel, we like to treat ourselves to the best, and that's why we purchased our home at Grand Caribe.
