Nice place central to everything.

Cute house that was conveniently located between Ft Bragg and Mendocino. Lots of space kitchen was well stocked with everything you need for cooking. Nice area for dog walking as well. We would stay here again.

Love this getaway

We spent a 4 day vacay. In Fort Bragg. The house was comfortable and clean. We found the home to be relaxing and will return next year.

Restful getaway!

We loved this spacious property. The home has all the things we needed, and lots of nice to haves, like a dog friendly back yard. We especially enjoyed the night sky and early morning fog. We'll look forward to another visit.

Fun and affordable

We had a great time! We stayed here for our fifth anniversary and really enjoyed ourselves. It was very relaxing and it was great to watch the sunset from the hot tub. We have stayed at a number of places on the mendocino coast and this was excellent. Also, it was a very good price. We would definitely stay here again.

Cozy Home

My family and I came to this house for my wedding weekend and it was perfect. It has a perfect big backyard for the dogs to run around although it is not fenced it still is so spacious for the dogs. The rooms and living room area are a perfect amount of space where no one feels crowded. However the dryer is tricky to get it started for finishing drying clothes. I definitely recommend this house 100% thank you Coastal Conifer Hideaway for letting us stay and feel like home during our stay

Great dog friendly rental

This is a nice house that is sized comfortably for probably 5 or 6 people. It's tucked away from the highway but not far out of town. The nearby headlands trail is very nice and also dog friendly. The house was very clean and uncluttered, and directions were mostly very easy to follow (the hot tub code is posted very low on the wall and we missed the lock code, but it wasn't hard to find.). Checkout instructions were quite easy as well. The hot tub was very nice, and the yard is open but also private. Sometimes deer would come by for a snack. Overall a great stay and would come again!

Quaint cottage, lovely stay

We had a great time at the house. It was well equipped with everything we needed. We did have a few maintenance notes the owner should be aware of. The fridge is icing over and froze our food in the refrigerator. Screen door in the dining room is not on the track correctly and needs adjustment. The hot tub eyelet screw is not secured. The screw has pulled out from the deck. There is mold along the windowsills.

Peaceful Oasis

The home was very clean and well supplied. Having the fireplace prestocked with kindling was a lovely touch. Our dogs enjoyed the large backyard space (we enjoyed easily wearing them out just chucking balls in the yard, lol!). The large kitchen table allowed all of us to easily fit. It was very peaceful to sit in the hot tub with only the sound of birds and a distant foghorn. The decor was comfortable and fun, with a very Santa Cruz beach vibe. The location is perfect. 10 minutes to Mendocino, 10 minutes to Ft. Bragg, multiple state parks just minutes away.

It was just ok.

A hot tub was listed on the property when we got there it was empty and the backyard was in the middle of construction. The kitchen needs updated utensils and knifes. There was no cleaning supplies expect for glass cleaner. There are much better places to rent then this one. The only bonus was the large backyard.

Not happy

Hot tub was not clean. Steps from porch had no lighting when dark out. Step down to den area not marked and with no lighting a falling hazard. With extremely spoty WiFi coverage, extremely difficult to communicate with management about check in and previously mentioned issues.

Horrible Neighbors

The neighbors next store had daily violent fights, with yelling and swearing....it was so bad we had to go inside as we had a 7 yr. old with us...We were there four nights listening to them...on checking out we mentioned it to a staff person that showed up to clean, she was aware of it and said the police had been called often. I wish we had know this prior to renting this property, I would have never rented it. Was not a good situation at all..

Great location

The house was okay. Wouldn't give it a five star. I gave the master bedroom to my brother and sister in law. The next a.m. she told me she had to go sleep in the 3rd bedroom due to the urine smell in the master bedroom. Stains on the carpet were disturbing in that room as well. We took our own backyard chairs thankfully. The location is great, the back yard is great for dogs. We keep our dogs crated in the house whenever we take them on trips. Oh, and this might seem petty, but the silverware is really unpleasant. I would bring my own. I know I am kind of picky, but it's just the truth for all of us actually.

Cute house, relatively clean

The biggest downside to this property was the “cat” smell. The master bedroom carpet was stained (not sure if it was animal related) and the urine spot in the back bedroom should have been properly cleaned. The hot tub was welcoming and the back patio area clean and comfortable. The linens were clean and fresh smelling and everything else was great. I hesitate to mention this next concern but since it was a safety concern to each of us I will. A confederate flag (alongside the American flag) was clearly erected on the neighbors property. While I understand that the viewpoints of the neighbors are out of the property owners control, I believe you should be aware of this especially in light of numerous incidents of racial violence across our nation. This was alarming and we were afraid to venture out on foot for a beach adventure. I’m not sure we would stay at this property again.

Fort Bragg with dog

Hi this was our first trip with our dog Stevie and my mom. The house was spacious for all of us and back yard was perfect for Stevie. The property had texting ability with quick responses. The shower in master was small and shower pressure was weak. Overall was the perfect location for us. Very homey. Would stay here again.
