Tämä kahden makuuhuoneen, kahden kylpy rantahotelli on aivan Davis-lauttapalvelun vieressä ja vain muutaman minuutin päässä Cape Lookoutista. Mahtava pääsy Core Banksiin nauttimaan rannasta auringosta ja aalloista tai kalastuksesta ja metsästyksestä. Täysin kalustettu kahdella queen-vuoteella ja kahdella vuodesohvalla. Yksityisen laiturin avulla voit tuoda veneesi tai voit tutustua vesiteihin kahden saatavilla olevan kajakin avulla. Polkupyöriä on saatavana - voit ajaa viehättävällä maantiellä. Saatavilla on myös ulkosuihku! Nauti Core Sound -näkymistä ympäröivältä kannelta tai Sunroomista. Pohjapiirros on avoin ja ilmava, toivottaa sinut tervetulleeksi! We had everything we needed, everything is very nice and classy, nothing broken or not working. We were very comfortable and did not want to leave. We were here during a storm but it was still such a nice stay. The screened in deck was the BEST. Even with wind and rain we were able to sit out there and enjoy it. The screen seems to block both the wind and rain enough to enjoy it no matter the weather. It was absolutely fantastic. Thank you so much, looking forward to coming back.

Weekend getaway

Excellent accommodations with all the amenities of a 5 star location and help when needed. The view from the sanctuary of a screened in porch is awesome! Kitchen essentials exceeded expectations and bedding / bath outstanding. This was our second stay and we will return for a third. Thank you.

Relaxing Retreat

We truly enjoyed our 2nd stay at Sound Escape. The owner’s attention to detail is amazing! The house is always very clean and small toiletries are provided! A great place to relax and enjoy the view!

Perfection and relaxation

The house is even nicer than the photos! Its open, bright, wonderfully decorated and so many special touches throughout. The hosts have literally already though of everything. It's so quiet there, at night we could see every star and several planets. The dock was great, the view could not be improved, i cant rave about our short stay enough. Thank you, it was just what we needed for a quick reset!

Great Family Vacation!

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely house. It was spacious and provided the room my family of four and parents needed. We enjoyed the outside space too. In NC, a screened in porch is so nice to enjoy the outside without getting bug bites. The dock was fun. The kitchen was great for preparing meals and the large dining room table was plenty of space for our family.

The PERFECT Getaway!!

First if you are considering this place just go ahead and BOOK! Don't wait, you will not be disappointed at all. The views are perfect in the morning from the sun coming up over the sound and just as perfect in the evening with the sun going down. This home has it all, there was plenty of space for everyone. The dock was perfect from just sitting in the morning enjoying the fresh air to fishing and crabbing, we caught crabs and plenty of fish to eat as well. The screened in porch was nice for diners and just relaxing in the evenings. The house was very clean as well. The kitchen is very nice and had everything you would need to create any meal. This will be our stay for future visits Down East. The host communicates very well and very quick to respond to any questions.

A peaceful getaway with amazing views was an understatement! To be able to meet & enjoy a weekend full of laughter with friends, visiting friends while staying in Davis at your home was yet another memorable trip for the books! The six of us always meet over on the other side of the sound, we enjoyed sitting on the back porch overlooking the sound towards the island talking and swinging, we played cards, had dinner on Harkers Island and just enjoyed the quietness that your place brought. Laurie without a doubt met our every need and is a super host! We left knowing that we would plan another trip back soon!!

Exceeded expectations

A small group of 4 were seeking a destination in Davis to launch our fishing trip. The water front property was an added bonus and the accommodations exceeded expectations. The layout with bed and bath on each end was perfect. Central kitchen with awesome layout and appliances allowed for easy meal prep and clean up. We loved the screened in porch for late afternoon core sound viewing. Sunrise was spectacular as another great fishing day was under way. Launching from Cedar Island or South River was convenient and relaxing. Thank you Laurie for your gracious hospitality, chocolate bread pudding and beautifully decore. We will be back!

Amazing!

We didnt want to leave. It is the most beautiful house with the best screened in back porch that looks out to the intracoastal. We went on vacation to come to the Beaufort Music Festival but missed a lot of the music because we didnt want to leave the house. It rained most of the weekend so we werent able to get in the water but it was still an amazing experience. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We will be coming back for sure. 😁

We found the oasis

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When you want to be 20 minutes away from it all and in a bit of heaven - this is the place. Immaculate home, PERFECT location to get to lookout, star gazing was the best. 2000 words not enough to explain it all, but traveled with my two older kids (18 and 20) and couldnt have been a better choice. Been in Beaufort area 4 summers, this was the best of them for us. Stop at Beaufort grocery store for basic food items before arriving here, but besides that, can only say you will not be disappointed and glad you chose here. Wish we had a few more days as we still didnt get to do all we wanted to do. (only negative was messages sent to agency via VRBO were not returned, but email questions were)

A special place!!

Thank you to Laurie for her hospitality and for being such an amazing host! Davis is actually home for me but we lost our family home to Hurricane Florence in 2018. The home once stood just right next door. Laurie graciously opened this home to my parents so they would have a roof over their heads. We made special memories here while they were between houses. Now with a family of my own, we’ve exceeded the space to stay with my parents but this is the perfect solution. It feels like home to stay here. The house is well stocked from linens to kitchen utensils to appliances. This has to be the CLEANEST rental I’ve ever stayed in. The beds are comfortable. The front porch is paradise. Walking out from the front yard to wade in Core Sound is healing. Be sure to venture out a bit, at sunrise or sunset, in one of the kayaks. If you are looking for something off the beaten bath to sit back & relax. Book your stay! I can guarantee you’ll be back.

Mark's father is from Down East. Laurie fell in love with that area about the time she fell in love with Mark. For more than 2 decades they have been visiting the waters of Core Sound. Laurie and their dog Grace love to Kayak on the Sound every chance they get. Mark loves doing anything on the water.

If you are looking for a getaway that will make you appreciate everything nature has to offer - this is the place for you.

The screen porch is sure to be a highlight of your stay - at least that is what we hear. Sound Escape will allow you to throw a cast net off the dock, enjoy a good book on the screen porch, see more stars than you may have ever seen before and if you are lucky spot a dolphin or sea turtle swimming by.
When you walk in the door, you can look straight through the large great room and see Core Sound on the other side. If the weather is right, you might decide to turn off the A/C or heat and open the windows and feel the Sound breezes while you sleep or enjoy your breakfast.
Feel free to take a bike ride along the Scenic Byway (on one of the two bikes that are included), take a paddle on one of the two kayaks or hop on the Ferry to catch a ride to an amazing beach (that is practically private!)
Fish off the dock or in the surf if you would like (just bring your gear). If you have never been clamming, grab our clam rake and give it a try!
Walk down to Davis Shore Provision and grab some ice cream or dessert or stop in JDs one morning for a breakfast sandwich on a Davis Shore yeast roll. You have to try one!
