Mycket fin lÀgenhet med bra standard och en trevlig, tillmötesgÄende vÀrd. LÀget Àr centralt och praktiskt. Nackdelen Àr ljudnivÄn nattetid frÄn Rainbow Café intill, framför allt basljud som fortplantar sig som stomljud i fastigheten. I övrigt ett mycket bra boende.

Perfect location well stocked property!!

Everything in the property description is spot on. Well stocked, easy check in, responsive host. I have no complaints. Easy walk to bakery shopping and restaurants The staff at Captain Frenchy are very hospitable. Remember to reserve your chairs in advance as it can get busy.

Great waterfront location with breathtaking views and easy walking to world class French cuisine, shops, and bakery. Host met us upon arrival and gave a tour of the property introducing us to the staff at French’s next door which provides included daily breakfast, beach chairs and umbrellas. Breakfast was made to order and delicious with excellent pastries, omelette, coffee, water, juices, tea, french bread, butter and jam. You are in between two restaurants with bars who play music all day and into the evening. The sea access is fantastic right on a beautiful beach where we swam hours each day. We took a half day boat tour with snorkeling from the Rainbow Cafe charter with Captain Djarvan- highly recommend. The property is just like the pictures. Has comfortable beds and thoughtful touches like spices, soaps, beach towels and extra converters.

Party Central

Grand Case is a fun part of St. Martin. There is lots of nightlife and music to the wee hours. View from the unit is wonderful. Nice big balcony and beach chairs right in front on the beach. Free breakfast is fantastic. Fun place to come for a fun time. Lots of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Kitchen well equipped too. We would stay here agsin.

Calypso is Paradise!!

The place was as advertised. All the pictures online are representative of the actual place. Our host was very responsive and our local contact Christophe was top notch. We had a little snafu with our water heater but Christophe was all over it and got is resolved with no interruptions and also provided a nice bottle of Bordeaux for the inconvenience, which i thought was very nice. Our location was superb with direct access to the beach and all the restaurants on the boulevard. Having free breakfast every day was a nice touch and saved us some money. Overall, a great place to stay. We would and will be staying here again.

Beautiful Apartment / Significant Problems

Beautiful apartment located at the party side of town. Breakfast at Frenchy's next door is very nice. The staff at Frenchy's are great. The property manager let us know that we'd be greeted at our planned arrival time. Didn't happen due to their personal problem off the island. The keys were left next door. They were unable to assist other than hand us the keys. The website stated that we'd have use of the garage. There was no access to the garage until we persisted on requesting it. We finally got the fob three days later. The air conditioning in the whole apartment stopped working Friday night and the person we were told to contact was unavailable due to the aforementioned personal problem. No sleep Friday night. On Saturday afternoon it was determined that there was a water leak from our second floor apartment down into the first floor apartment. This caused a short in the wiring to the AC and caused them to turn off the hot water to the master bathroom. Even though we paid for a two bed / two bath apartment we were down now to a two bed / one bath apartment which the property manager said was fine for us because we were only two people. No electrical adapters for US plugs. On the final day of our stay, our aparment had a significant water leak in the kitchen and the water was spreading over the surrounding area. Chris, the on-site manager, was very helpful. Luna, the property manager, would only communicate by email. She offered a bottle of wine for our troubles.

Grand Case Gem

We loved this Calypso apartment overlooking the Grand Case beach. It is roomy, clean, and nicely furnished. Good security. The front porch spans the length of the unit. Air conditioning works well. Chris, the local manager, met us for check-in, and was available throughout our stay, and responsive to our questions and needs. The restaurants in Grand Case are remarkably good, and within walking distance from the Calypso. We enjoyed having the included breakfasts at Capt Frenchy's next door. The beach is lively with activity. One caution for visitors is that the music from Frenchy's and especially from the Rainbow Cafe next door can be quite loud at times. While it adds to the beach vibe, it can get tiresome.

The apartment was exactly as described Attention by host was impeccable Loved the beach access and location A vehicle was not necessary if you decided to limit your stay to the french side, as the beach will meet all your needs and the selection of great restaurants were numerous and within easy walking distance Our group of friends would easly stay here again without a second thought The service from Captain Frenchy was 👌 Everyone made our trip feel extra special

Best views

This apartment was wonderful! Beautiful inside and best location to great restaurants and boutiques. Captain Frenchy's breakfast was amazing-cheese omlette with salad or crossaint with fruit--all very good. The beach access was perfect! The views are very accurate to the pictures! Breath-taking! We stayed Wed-Sat and it was very peaceful Wed and Thursday night. Friday afternoon Rainbow Cafe had pretty loud music, but it ended by 5, then Captain Frenchy's had a live reggae band that started up around 6:30-10:30. It was a fun vibe-beach party feel.

New Year enjoyment

What you see is what you get. We knew that music would be played most nights and Sunday was crazy. So I don't understand all the complaints about music. The workers and management at Cap't Frenchy's were amazing. So nice and accommodating. We had great breakfast each day and beach chairs. Just be nice and tip! Christophe was responsive and helpful. A little wild for some older folks like us, but as mentioned, this was not a surprise. Make sure you bring some receptacle adaptors.

Center stage in Grand Case

We had a amazing time staying in Luna's condo. It was exactly how it is pictured online and the view from the balcony is perfection. There are popular restaurants/bars on both sides of the condo and the owner has set up great relationship with them so they take care of you. Plus you are walking distance to the best restaurants on the island. We usually stay on the Dutch side and was extremely happy to find this gem.

The pandemic relief vacation!

It all came together in the end but quite stressful getting all the documentation needed to leave the US and be approved for arriving in St. Martin. But so worth it. We forgot what it felt like to be relaxed!

Grand Case Week Stay

Property is as described with courteous/professional contacts. It is situated in a great area that is not a long walk to fine restaurants. It is between two bars/restaurants and Sunday is a competition between the both (loud), so that would be a good time to venture out. Otherwise Activity was acceptable. Chairs are provided along with a continental breakfast. Closer to town there is really no Condos/apartments that are ready and the next Condo is pretty far down the beach. Location is very central. Underground parking is a challenge inquire about what type of car can be rented (steep). We will be back. Friendly island/area

Perfect!

We loved this spacious, airy, well-appointed condo with lovely balconies right on the beach! Property management was perfection--super friendly. One even provided childcare to our children so we could get an adult night out. Beds are comfortable, views are incredible from every room. Easy walking distance to everything. Two things to know: parking can be a bit hairy and folks can block you in by parking in front of drive. When no one else was staying there, we parked in front just to avoid that. There are establishments that play music at night on either side. Since we had young children we were home on the early side and it was quite loud sometimes--especially sitting on the balcony. However, the music was good and wasn't played too late.

Great location and very responsive hosts

We LOVED the 2br unit and location to the Grand Case French restaurants, night life bars, bakery and little grocery stores. Breakfast was included at the Rainbow Cafe and parking was in a garage or out front. This is our new favorite place to stay!!

Wonderful stay in Calypso residence

Our family greatly enjoyed our one week stay in the apartment. We were on the second floor of the building. It's a very spacious, elegant, well designed and maintained apartment with everything one could possibly need for an enjoyable vacation in Grand Case. The views from every window are fantastic. I loved the fact that building elevator opens up right inside your apartment. We were particularly happy to always have beach lounges available right in front of the building. The beach there is so beautiful - we never had any desire to go to any other beach on the island. The apartment comes with a two-person kayak and a paddle board available for the residents of the building, which my husband enjoyed taking out. There are plenty of excellent restaurants that are open in Grand Case, although the village is not nearly the way it used to be before Irma. Parking (especially in the evening) may be the only challenge we experienced. Overall, I would highly recommend this place - it's even better in person than in photos. Christophe, who met us at the property to check us in and out was very helpful and always answered any questions we had. Luna, the agent, is also easy to communicate with as she responds pretty quickly to all inquiries. Thank you for making our vacation so care free and enjoyable.

This was a great place to stay with a good kitchen and a nice view near the excellent restaurants of Grand Case. The two restaurants on either side did not bother us.

Excellent apartment on the Beach in Grand Case!

Everything is as described on the website. Beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment overlooking the beach on the 2nd floor (1 level above street level), in like-new condition. There is an elevator accessible from just inside the front door, which is about 8 steps up from the street. Excellent location on really the best part of the beach with the clearest water you ever saw!. Very sandy bottom, almost no tide or waves at all and the beach is wide enough for several rows of beach chairs and umbrellas at the excellent Rainbow beach club/restaurant next door. The apartment is well equipped with the essential equipment in the kitchen. Several very nice restaurants, markets and shops within easy walking distance and the Rainbow restaurant next door is very good and right there on the beach!! Nice little pizza place right across the street, too. Parking is available beneath the building, but it is a bit tight for a larger vehicle to get in and out. We had a mid-size SUV that we had to back out of the garage, but it worked. I would recommend as small a vehicle as possible to suit your needs, but you can manage with the SUV. You just need someone to help watch the street traffic. Located on a narrow, one-way street and very nice, small village feel. The village is still recovering from Hurricane Irma in 2017, so expect to see quite a bit of damaged buildings in the area, but it is coming back nicely with plenty enough shops and restaurants along the road and along the beach. We really loved it. Christophe is the local property manager and was very prompt to meet us when we arrived and when we were leaving. Helped with out luggage. Very nice fellow. Depending on what your plans are for activities during your stay, you could easily get by without a car and use taxis. We actually never left Grand Case the whole week because the water, scenery and food/drink were so fabulous that we didn't want to miss a minute of it. We read some reviews saying that Grand Case is the best beach in St. Martin. We could not disagree. Just fabulous!! Because we never left Grand Case during our time there, we would have been better off not renting a car at all. It is about 30 from the main airport, depending on traffic in the one town in between (Marigot) that you have to go through to get to the airport. We would definitely stay at Calypso again. You will love it!

Lovely location in Grand Case

Our group of four thoroughly enjoyed the Calypso residence. Location cannot be beat ... right on the beach. Nice continental breakfast provided next door at the Rainbow Cafe where the staff is friendly and welcoming. Christophe was most helpful, even replacing a shower head in one of the bathrooms at a moment's notice. If you require parking, check with management to rent the right size car. Also ask for a lesson in how to run the dishwasher! I never quite figured it out. St Martin/St Maarten was hard hit by Irma in 2017, but so much has already been renovated and repaired. Grand Case is about half-way to perfect, with many excellent restaurants and shops now open, and more opening almost every day. Calypso/Grand Case is a great place to relax, listen to the surf, and work on your tan.

BEST place on Grand Case

This beautiful apartment building sits back on the absolute best strip of beach in the area. It has all the amenities, electronics, hurricane shutters that double as blackout curtains and noise insulation, coffee makers, dishwasher, washing machine, dishes, plates, cups and, most important..wine glasses! Loved the very good, tasteful furnishings. Comfortable beds. Great lounging off the master bedroom with a fantastic view. Lots of storage in bathrooms and bedrooms. Much appreciated! Central but private. Convenient walk to so many great restaurants. Walk downstairs and out the door to the beach. Beach chairs and towels...furnished. Generous past residents have left all kinds of floaties including kids' beach toys. We left tissues, paper towels, bottles of water, plastic cups. Just remember, it's Island Time, no rushing. Christopher and Oliver are accessible for questions and needs. We had a grandbaby with us and some friends and it was an ideal vacation. Thank you Sophie!!
