Our family Cape Place

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: For several years we have spent a wonderful week in this house with our adult children, and our young grandchildren. The house fits all 8 of us for eating, playing board games, playing music, relaxing, inside and out. But the best part is that it is the 4th house from the community beach on a private road. The beach is beautiful, sandy, wavy and (for the ocean in the northeast) it is excellent swimming temperature. We walk to the beach; the house is so close that it's very easy to be flexible coming and going. There are chairs and beach toys in the shed. The kitchen is very well equipped for serious cooking as well as for snacking. I was very pleased to find a lemon zester, garlic press and lemon squeezer for the swordfish we bought at the nearby fish market. Over the summer, herbs and spices accumulate making it even easier to make very good meals. There are fans in every room to supplement the a/c, and many extra blankets.The place is spotlessly clean. Martha Murray Agency is always responsive and a pleasure to work with. Any questions were answered pleasantly and when (over the 10 years we've rented through them) we've had any problem, it was addressed immediately.

Having a washer and dryer is a plus. The location is very nice but found the beach this year more crowded and less space between people. Our disappointment was there was no gas in the grill and was very old . The shower in the upstairs bathroom had no water pressure and therefore not usable. The cable was continually going out.

A great home in a good location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A great home to rent for a multi generational family. Bonus to have two living areas and two full baths. Wonderful area behind the house to chill after the kids went to bed. We had an issue with an appliance and within a few hours it was replaced by the rental team, excellent customer service. Location is great just a 2 minute walk to the beach. The negative to our experience was some of the residents on the road who made us feel very unwelcome. Unbeknownst to us there is an unwritten rule on where residents can set up on the beach and where renters should set up and our first day at the beach was spoiled when several residents made it well known we had set up in "their area."

Great Home in a wonderful location

The upstairs is bright and comfortable and the sitting area in the yard was great. I only showered in the outdoor shower (loved it)! We did not grill - but there was a grill and the kitchen was well stocked. The reason we chose this house, even though only 3 people (did not use the downstairs - but it was a great set up for a larger group) was the beach...and the beach was awesome, clean, private, not crowded. One note we did not know about the flag (each home has one - small - put in sand - for the private beach) you need it to sit on the beach - which is good as only residents are there. We met several of the neighbors and they were extremely nice! Went to Ocean House for dinner - outdoors on the water - very close (need reservations) The Pelham house for apps and drinks (can walk there on beach or road, so nice - on the water also)...and breakfast from good! Breakfast sandwiches, huge muffins, baked goods. If you drink iced coffee pay the extra for the coffee ice cubes, and order the night before online for AM pickup, if you can! They cook sandwiches and make coffee when you arrive - but don't need to wait in the bakery line...and guarantees you will get a lemon danish - which they run out of early! Lovely home - hoping to return each year...had a great week.
