Wonderful time but the only complaint I have is they need new mattresses on the bed in the master bedroom and a new couch in the living room. My husband and I both came home early because of our sciatica nerve hurting, mine hurt me all week.

The condo and location are great! Spectacular views and easy access to the beach. The pools are really convenient too. The restaurant (Sassy bass island grill) is located in the first floor of the unit and is delicious! Have to try the Dirty Banana!

Nice vacation

We had a really nice stay snd really have no complaints. The condo was very clean and very well stocked with towels and wash clothes. The grounds are very well maintained and the swimming pools are amazing. John was very helpful, answered texts right away and was very friendly.

Just a fantastic experience

We stayed at this property for the first time the first week of April 2024. Everything was excellent, kitchen was well stocked, the view is amazing, and the communication with the owner was easy and quick when we had questions. I would highly recommend this unit. If you’re considering a trip to Gulf Shores Plantation, it’s one of the best we’ve ever stayed up.

COME RELAX

This is our second trip to Ft Morgan and this unit. We stayed the month of February both times. The unit is great. It has a wonderful view of the Gulf. The owner couldn't be more gracious. The staff here is excellent.

Perfect getaway

Keys were mailed prior to leaving for trip. Owner communicated efficiently. Place was great for my family. A few minor things discussed with owner to improve condo but nothing that was a real issue. Location is nice, away from the busy. Water activities available on the beach. Definitely considering coming back.

We had a relaxing vacation

The view from our balcony was beautiful. I watched the sunrise twice! The condo was neat and clean and well stocked with essentials. Our host, John Linn, was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions in a timely manner. I liked the futon chair-it was easier to get in and out of it than off the low sofa. We attended the Shrimp Festival on Friday evening and had a blast! We will definitely look John up next time we want to go to Gulf Shores!

Affordable private paradise

I will try to make this short and sweet but give as much info as I can. Pack toiletries! We ran out of TP/soap/paper towels/etc. this is listed in the ad so no biggie just don’t forget it or you will be making trips to the store! There is a dollar general a few minutes down the street which is great for misc items. The condo is great on top floor. We did have issues with the elevators not working the first day but was resolved quickly. There is ongoing repairs being made around the resort and the hottub inside our building is closed and being remodeled. John is very responsive to any questions or issues you have so that made the trip easy! The sassy bass grill is delicious we enjoyed many meals there and the grouper Ruben was my fave and my hubby loved the beer cheese burger! If you rent the beach chairs for multiple days it’s cheaper I think for 3 days it’s 100$ which is nice if you don’t want to lug all of your chairs and umbrellas back and forth with 3 kiddos! We had yellow and red beach days while we stayed so we didn’t do too much in the ocean with our littles but playing on the beach is great! We are excited to connect with John again next year bc his place is perfect for our family! There were extra pillows in the closets but we didn’t even utilize the sofa sleeper so I can’t comment on the comfort of it. I think for the price you get a great deal! We got to see the sun rise from the balcony and walked the beach for sunsets! I think where the sun is will vary on the time of year you visit. Keep that in mind!

Beautiful view

This unit is located in the quieter community of Fort Morgan, and is an easy 15-30 minute drive to shopping, dining and activities in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. Located within a 5 minute drive we found several restaurants, a seafood market, coffee/ice cream shop, a butcher shop, and several general merchandise stores. Sassy Bass restaurant is located on-site overlooking the beach, and has both indoor and outdoor seating. It was open daily for breakfast and lunch, as well as dinner on the weekends. In the building there is a laundry located on the ground floor with 9-10 washer/dryer sets which accept coins or credit cards. The exercise room has a good selection of equipment, both cardio and weights. There are several nice pools available for use. The beach is easily accessible using the boardwalk that goes over the dunes. It's .2 miles from the unit door to the end of the boardwalk. Chair and umbrella rental is available on the beach, but you can also bring your own. In mid-May there was plenty of room to set up a spot. This unit is located on the 8th (top) floor in the tallest of several properties in this secured complex. Facing east, the unit gets lots of morning sunshine, and the balcony has a beautiful view of both the Gulf of Mexico and BonSecour/Mobile Bay. The late afternoon shade makes the balcony the perfect spot for reading and enjoying a beverage. The unit is in good condition overall. The kitchen has been recently remodelled and is well stocked. The mattress in the main bedroom is firm and level. The bathrooms are small but adequate. The living room TV is flat screen with HDMI inputs. We brought our ROKU connector and found the internet signal strong and reliable. The unit is approximately 900 square feet and would be comfortable for 4 adults. There are 2 elevators, both of which were functioning normally during our stay. Upon arrival, the unit was clean and ready when promised. We had a few questions before and during our stay, and the owner was very helpful and replied promptly to all inquiries. We would gladly return.

Everything was wonderful! Beautiful views, plenty of space, easy access to pools and beach. Condo was very clean. Beds were comfortable. WIFI was a little spotty but it was manageable. We would definitely stay here again!!

We love this beach

We have been at this condo several times. We absolutely love the view and location. I don’t remember the mattresses being so uncomfortable though. We didn’t sleep well at all because of how uncomfortable the mattress was.

Better units available!

We enjoyed the beach and pool but did not enjoy a 400 charge for a broken lamp after leaving. Lots of expensive clutter to live around in this unit. The location was inconvenient as it took a 20 minute drive to all of the fun. Beds very hard and uncomfortable. Communication with owner was good.

Fort Morgan gem

This property was exactly as advertised. The 8th floor beach view is definitely the best feature. Having a restaurant in the building is also a big plus. The kitchen had everything we needed, the bed was very comfortable and the shower had great water pressure. The decor is pretty retro, but everything works. The only recommendation I have is that the sofa is pretty well sprung; might be time to replace that. Wonderful stay!

We spent a week at this property and truly enjoyed it. The unit is acceptable, and itis clean. Beach is amazing and most important it is not crowded. This is wonderful location of you looking for a peaceful place to stay with your family! Ehlimana

We had an amazing time at this condo! Great location, unit, pools, beach access, and never waited over 3 minutes for the elevator! Owner communication was exceptional. Our family will definitely stay again.

Fantastic Location

The condo was just like it was advertised. Beautiful view from the balcony, we watched the sunrise every morning. We were just steps from the beach. the owners were great to work with and even checked on us when the weather got bad one day. Check in and out process was easy. Condo was clean and had everything we needed for the week. We will definitely stay here again!

This area is tranquil and serene. It's a good place to go to the beach to relax but escape the crowds and drunk or rowdy students.

Gulf Shores Plantation is on Fort Morgan Road close to several restaurants, and also close enough to the amusements, restaurants, shopping and night life 'in town' that it is all easily accessible with a 10-15 minute drive, but far enough away that you can escape back to our family oriented resort with its wide sandy beaches, and unspoiled dunes and nature. Unlike what has resulted from the over-building and over-crowding 'in town' in 'Gulf Shores proper', Orange beach, and West beach. It's like the beach was when I was a kid. Just a great place where the kids are safe, there is no through-traffic, or 'girls/boys gone wild'.
