Quick snow ski weekend

All was great except the coffee maker did not work. We enjoyed the location and it was easy ski in and out location. 4-wheel drive truck was definitely needed on those snow days!

Great place

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was well appointed with everything you needed. A few more pans would’ve been nice for cooking, but we definitely made due. The house lives larger than you would imagine. One nice thing was that we ended up being able to ski in and out.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This our fourth summer in the Banner Elk area. We were here prior to Covid and this is the first year back. We love this area, all there is to do, the Sugar Mtn. golf course is our favorite., great restaurants, lovely area and wonderful weather. The condo was dirty, we spent two days cleaning, but the rental agency fairly compensated us. I could live with the dates furniture, but the cleaning issue was a problem. I would only recommend this unit if we were guaranteed it was cleaned prior to another visit

Great Rental for Ski Weekend

2nd time we have stayed at this same location for ski weekend at Sugar Mountain! Easy in and out. Check out process is easy too. Look forward to staying again soon.

I would only suggest to add some larger stock pots we were unable to find anything big enough to boil spaghetti. I’m sure someone ruined the one there and threw it out because everything else was fully stocked. Thanks again.

Good view clean

The unit was clean and comfortable with great views. I would not recommend trying to ski with young kids. While you can walk to the lift you need to walk down multiple flights of stairs which is very hard with young kids especially if there is weather. Be aware of the four wheel drive recommendation as it is a steep slope

Parking was a problem. Even though we were told we could have 2 cars, there was not space. The condo needs attention. The shower curtain liner was barely hanging by a thread, and the foosball table is on its last leg. The location, view, and the fireplace were plusses.

First time in NC

Everything went smooth, from check in to check out. The place is located right on the mountain and views are spectacular. The place was big for the 5 of us. My kids loved it that they had their own room. Highly recommend. Food Lion dow. The road is great.

Great winter getaway

The condo was clean. It was ski in ski out but unfortunately we didn’t get to ski as there was no snow. You definitely need a 4 wheel drive as the roads are steep. The foosball table was at hit for our boys. It was great hiking at Grandfather mountain.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Internet goes in and out. Very, very frustrating. We had this same problem before. You have to keep resetting the modem and connections. Very inconvenient. Unit wasn't as clean as usual. Front Bedroom beds were haphazardly made. We usually bring mattress toppers to make the bedding more comfortable. I would only recommend this unit if no other unit like it was unavailable.

Excellent property | Horrible Property Management Company

First let me say that I highly suggest (as a property owner who rents on VRBO) that the owner of this property consider switching management companies. 1) We called two days ahead to see if we could add a night stay (which the website clearly said the property was available) and the property manager said they didn't have the resources to let us stay an additional night. 2) Check in states 4:00 but we were not able to check in until 6. 3) The water was turned off in the unit (no instructions from the property management company. Had to call plumber to get instructions on turning the water on. 4) Realized later that evening (after a day of skiing) that we had no hot water. Called plumber who said we needed to turn on the breaker to the hot water heater (no instructions from the management company). Had no hot water entire first day we were at the property. 5) Had to take the trash off to a public trash facility, as there is no close trash disposal Pros) 1) Clean Property with beautiful views 2) Very short drive to Sugar Mountain Resort 3) Very Private gated community Unfortunately due to the property management company, even though this property was great, we will not be returning to rent ANY property available from this company.
