Hot tub was out of order during the stay but that was fine as the pool was nice and so was the quick walk to the beach. Non smoking property so there was no smoking on your porch with your morning cup of coffee; however, there was a smoking spot in the parking lot. Upon arrival the AC in my condo was out but it was fixed within 3 hours on a Saturday night and the owner was very nice and quick with replies to my messages.If you're trying to cook you may want to bring you a pot because there was only skillets. Great experience would book again!

We loved the updates in the Condo ! The ground floor apartment was very convenient to the pool,etc. However,the hot tub was out of order and there was a bug issue most days. But, we very much enjoyed our stay there and would stay there again.

Not what we expected

This is our second year at Destin. We love all about this city. As regards the unit we rented, there were cockrouches, the cookware was old and incomplete, the blankets were dirty. The price we paid for it isn't worthy. What we hated the most, it was that the west Crystal apartments would not let you put an umbrella, canopy or tent. So, even though the unit is really close to tiny "public" beach, it is so crowded, imposible to be close enough to watch your kids if one is resting or playing while the other one is swimming. We walked further were there was a better place to put up our umbrella, closer to the shore. I would definitely come back to Destin, but not to this unit.

Solocation Getaway

This was my first visit to Destin and I am an adult woman who traveled alone. The unit was exactly as described and conveniently located near the Pompano Beach Access. There are not a lot of dining options close by, but that was anticipated. The TV worked fine, I mostly used it for music choice. The kitchen had everything as described- there was salt and pepper and coffee filters, but I didn’t use either. The bed was comfy enough. I did not use the pool or hot tub. The shower was spacious in the bathroom. The patio was pleasant for breakfast. The dryer was a little noisy, so I don’t recommend using it late in the evening to respect the neighbors. The issues with noisy, littering neighbors on the third floor was addressed quickly and efficiently by Phyllis. She answered the phone on the first ring and was compassionate and caring for me as her guest. Tenants in other units are not her responsibility, but she gave instructions on how to address concerns with the proper authorities. I would stay here again or any of Phyllis’ properties. I used FunPug bike rentals and Twilight Beach Service for chairs/umbrella rental and recommend both as well.

The back door out to the pool had a keypad on it. It did not work, and the deadbolt just turned and turned the handle on the toilet you had to jiggle to get it to stop from running. The stay was nice and the beach was close.

Beautiful Area

We loved the close beach access. The weather waskind to us and the unit was clean and more than adequate. The extra sleeping beds available made the quick visits from relatives a breeze. We were forewarned of construction in area. Unfortunately, this was major rebuild of apartment on top of us lasting several days, you might want to replace mattress soon.

It is clean and mostly updated; some of the furniture is pretty cheap and the master bed a we bit firm with some really odd wrap around the edges. Anyway, It was a good price for the week we stayed as it is very close to the beach - which is where we spend the majority of our time. Keep in mind your immediate access is to a very small public beach flanked by private beaches that are very restrictive as to what you can put down. Walk a little further and you can put up your tent with no hassle at a much wider public area. Get there early to set up (6A-630A) if you want a front row seat to ocean views. We were not impressed with the pool or grounds as it seemed they had a hard time keeping the trash picked up. It is a shame people don't throw their trash in trash cans, but the on-site property team should manage a little better. The neighbors were pretty noisy but did a decent job respecting the quiet hours. This unit is on the first floor so you hear everything from above and on either side of you.That said, we did have an issue I brought to Beach Blue's attention. Upon arrival we noticed the unit had a musty smell. We also noticed a single roach. Neither is uncommon in Florida. Unfortunately, over the next four days we noticed about five more. Upon further inspection we found the musty smell was originating from under the kitchen sink. The bottom board was severely warped showing signs of water damage. By the end of the trip we saw a total of nine roaches. I did call Beach Blue about 48 hours before our trip ended and suggested they needed an exterminator. They were apologetic and made every attempt to remedy prior to our departure. We didn't want the chemicals sprayed while we were there and only had about 48 hours left in our trip. It wasn't an infestation which is why weren't freaked out. Beach Blue did their best to address this issue.

Destin getaway

Everything was good. Great location, easy beach access. Negatives would be that it needs a new mattress in the master bedroom as it is well past time for a new one. Two people will roll together in middle of bed as it has a bad sink in the middle of the bed. Also neighbors above were extremely load for our whole vacation , walking load and sliding chairs and kids running. I would stay here again with a new mattress

Quick Beach Trip

The property was nice and had everything we needed for a quick stay. The location was a short walk to the public beach access and short drive to Publix, stores, and shopping. The only minor property issues we had was the sagging bed mattress and broken tv remote buttons. Nonetheless, these items didn't detract us from enjoying the property and would stay again.
