Hemlock Haven loma-asunto, jossa on paljon huoneita avattu / heinäkuu 2019

Tässä talossa on 4 makuuhuonetta, takka (kaasulokit) ja TV, olohuone, ruokasali, keittiö ja 2 kylpyhuonetta. Kahdessa makuuhuoneessa on queen-vuoteet. Yhdessä toisessa makuuhuoneessa on 2 parisänkyä ja toisessa makuuhuoneessa 1 parisänky. Kaikissa huoneissa on suuret komerot. Olohuoneessa on ruskea sohva, josta voidaan tehdä queen-vuode. Lisäksi meillä on queen-puhallettava patja, jonka voit pyytää tarvittaessa.

Ruokasalissa on yksi pöytä, johon mahtuu 6 henkilöä, ja ruokasalissa on toinen pöytä, johon mahtuu 4 henkilöä. Yhdessä kylpyhuoneessa on kylpyamme plus, suihku, lipasto, pesuallas sekä pesukone ja kuivausrumpu. Toisessa kylpyhuoneessa on suihku ja sen sisällä oleva istuin sekä iso pesuallas ja Commode.

Talon ulkopuolella on kansi, grilli ja paloaukko tulipalon rakentamiseksi ulkopuolelle. Lisäksi kannella on pöytä ja tuolit.

Talo istuu 2 ac. tontti, jossa on paljon tilaa lasten juoksemiseen ja leikkimiseen. Meillä on käsillä maissireikäpeli, hevoskengät,
ja muut lapsille tarkoitetut pelit.

Tämä kiinteistö sijaitsee 2 ac. tontti pysäköintimajoituksella 5-6 autolle. Mieheni ja minä kasvatimme 2 aikuista lastamme tässä talossa. Päätimme noin 20 vuotta sitten rakentaa uuden talon, mutta rakastan silti tätä taloa. Saatuaan vuokralaiset viimeiset 16 vuotta, päätimme mennä lomavuokrauksen kanssa. Rakastan edelleen tätä taloa ja sillä on paljon muistoja kasvattaa lapsiani. Ensimmäiset 2 lastenlapsestani syntyivät ennen muuttoa. Meillä on yhteensä 6 upeaa lastenlasta. Olemme molemmat eläkkeellä ja meillä on muutamia harrastuksia. Olen (Carol) asunut täällä koko elämäni, mutta mieheni (Fred) on kotoisin Pohjois-Ky: stä, joen toisella puolella Cinnistä. Ohiossa. Minulla on toinen talo, jota olen käyttänyt VRBO: n avulla mainostamiseen noin 7 vuotta. Talon nimi on Alvarado Vacation Rental Home, joka sijaitsee Denton's Valley Rd. Abingdon, VA. Voit joko mennä Alvaradoon ja pysäköidä pyöräsi ja ajaa polkua tai patikoida, tai mennä Abingdoniin tai Damaskokseen polkua varten. Rescheduled Getaway

Our family planned this getaway in October, but Hurricane Helene caused us to reschedule. The host were so kind and gracious. Always available for questions and very accomodating. Cozy home. Great for multi-generational trips.

Beautiful place to stay

This trip was absolutely amazing. Not only was the house so inviting but so was the owners. They were so helpful with any questions that you may have. The house was great with tons of space and a great location. We were not far from town and from the creeper trail. The house is surrounded by many farms which having children was a great highlight. I would recommend anyone who would love to get away for beautiful scenery and a wonderful house to stay

Unique, cozy getaway

This was a great option for our girls trip that included 8 friends. We enjoyed the VA Creeper trail, did some hiking, then sat around the fire in the back yard fire pit. It was very convenient to Abington and Damascus. Great memories of a great trip!

Overall, we had a great time at this property. The kitchen was a bit tight and lacked sharp knives. The beds were comfy. We enjoyed the views and moos of the cows!

Great property!

Perfect location--we came to ride the Virginia Creeper Trail--and this property is located just a few minutes away! The backyard with a firepit was a perfect place to spend the evenings while the kids played football in the grass. The house has plenty of room for a large party, with two living rooms. We will definitely be coming again!

Property needs repair and updates

We do not recommend this property as it does not live up the standards we expect from staying at many other VRBOs. We expected the furnishings to be dated given the pictures, but many amenities need to be repaired or replaced. This was shown when the AC was out upon arrival. Repairs to the AC prompted a move to a hotel for the first night. Though we were reimbursed for the hotel and provided 20 for our "troubles," we were not reimbursed for the night we were unable to stay at the property. We were in town for our son's wedding, and the AC issues required moving our things back and forth while we waited for the repair - not to mention the stress of not knowing where we were going to be able house our family of grown children traveling from all over for the wedding until the afternoon of the second day of the trip.From reading other responses to reviews, I expect the owners to be defensive. In many previous stays, we are known to treat properties with respect and follow all owner rules. We were patient about the AC repair and first night in a hotel, but the rest of the stay revealed an old house in need of maintenance.Please provide more than one trash bag and a clean sponge (so gross) in the kitchen for future guests.The house did provide ample space for all our guests, and the location is beautiful.

Beautiful remote house

Perfect for families. Well decorated. Very quiet. Everything we need was there and the owners were in constant contact and close by just in case. We will definitely rent again next time we do the Virginia Creeper Trail........by the way........it was a bargain.

Trail Days weekend with family

The hosts were helpful and accommodating . They were in contact with us before check-in and helped us by getting some firewood for the firepit. We were able to pay them a small amount which saved us from trying to buy wood some where. The house was very clean. Having multiple beds was nice for being able to spread out after a long hiking day. We enjoyed our stay. It was perfect for what we needed and had perfect weather.

Super Cozy, Great for Families!

We had the best stay! The house was very clean with a ton of bedrooms! It was the perfect set up for families. When the power went out one night I called Carol and she immediately answered and checked with the power company then offered to bring lighting to us until the power came back on. You have everything you need in the home. Plenty of towels and blankets. We loved our stay and appreciated Carol’s kindness so much. We will definitely be visiting again!

My husband and I are both retired. I have lived in this area all of my life. My husband grew up in Northern Ky. He has lived in this area close to 50 years, so I consider him a native of this county.

He is a retired Engineer, and I am a retired Business Owner. We have 2 children and 6 wonderful grandchildren.

We raised our 2 children in this house. It is a very Comfortable House and a Great Place for Children. We will be Happy for you to Rent from us and also Children are Welcomed. We have this property plus another Vacation Rental called Alvarado Vacation Rental. If one is full, you can check out the other one. If there are things on the Tables which you do not want to be bothered with (especially if you have small children), just store them in the bedrooms which has shelves in the closets.

This is a Place where you can Relax and Forget about Everything except Having Fun. This property is very convenient to the Creeper Trail, Holston River (1 mile), Holston Lake many Museums, Restaurants, I-81, Antique Malls, NASCAR, and Plenty of Shopping. There is a winery located in Alvarado, Va. that rents Kayak on the weekends. You have to reserve these to be able to rent them. They are located on the bank of the Holston River, and you can launch your Kayak at their place. If you bring your own Kayak, you can launch it at Alvarado Station or at the Holston River 1 mile from our house. There is plenty of parking at Alvarado Station, plus there is a picnic area, shelter with a swing, etc.

Our Vacation Rental is Located Close to the Creeper Trail and the River. You can either Fish or Ride a Canoe, Paddle Boat, etc. Lots of Trails, Musuems, Rivers, and Great Restaurants in Abingdon. The town of Abingdon is a very old Historical Town and is only about 10 to 12 minutes away from this house. Also, if you have relatives in the area, you can visit them or attend a family reunion. Abingdon has a Sports Center which is a New Edition to our many other Attractions Available for you Pleasure.

We have plug in where you can bring an RV and the charge is $55 per night for electricity. There are 2 tables and 8 chairs on the deck, but we have more tables and chairs if you need them. Also, if you want to have a Family Gathering at the house, we have plenty of tables and chairs that we will rent to you for this event for an extra Fee.

Large Living Room plus Den. View of the mountains plus 4 bedrooms and 2 baths. Large Charcoal Grill on Back Deck and Firepit Plus Picnic Table. We have completely redone this house in the last year. The Dining Room is large enough for 10 people to eat. There will be on the deck right outside of the dining room tables and chairs for you to eat outside, if you prefer this kind of dining. Also, we have plenty of plastic plates, eating utensils, etc. to have a picnic on our picnic table. In the afternoon or evening, the picnic table is in the shade and also the fire pit is located close by. If you need wood to burn, reserve this in advance. We have a local guy who charges $6 per bundle, and this is a large, dried bundle of wood---better than Wal-Mart, Lowe's, etc.

Plenty of Parking. We own a Lot at the beginning of the Driveway, and you can Park Cars on the Grass. Close to Major Grocery Stores, Restaurants, and all Kinds of Unique Items such as Bike Trails, Lakes, Rivers, Caverns, Musuems, Antique Stores, NASCAR, Theaters, Parks, Hiking, Picnicking, Swimming Pools either in Damascus or Abingdon. Just Google Abingdon, Damascus, Glade Springs, Saltville, or Meadowview and you can see all the Attractions.

Damascus has Great Bike Rentals, but you need to Reserve these before Arrival. If you have your own bikes, just bring them to ride the Creeper Trail. Also, located in Damascus is a Shuttle Service to the top of the Mountain. You can then ride down the mountain on the bicycles. The Trail is so Gentle that People Have a Seat on the Back of their Bicycle to Ride Their Small Children.
