Beautiful views

We stayed with family for 3 nights in this beautiful cottage . Lovely views . Cottage was clean ,host had several board games for kids . Tobermory is beautiful . Water is clean . As it was cold we did not go in water but would have been very good for someone coming in summer . Would have been nice to have sheets , towels included with the stay so guests don’t have to worry about brining these. Few extra things / staples in kitchen would have been helpful like coffee. We were here for Easter weekend and many places were closed nearby .

Great Stay

We had a lovely time at the cottage this past weekend. There was plenty of room for just the 2 of us, it's very private and quiet and the lakefront is beautiful, my husband even went for a quick dip in the cold lake! The wood stove and hot tub were great for chilly evenings. We also did some great hiking near The Grotto which was only about a half hour away.

Fantastic cottage

A fabulous cottage that had everything that we needed. Our adult children paddle boarded, kayaked and biked with all supplied. Owner quickly responded with the few questions/concerns that we had. We would highly recommend this location.

Relaxation Station

We loved our stay! Such a great spot to check out Tobermory and Bruce Peninsula National Park. Sitting in the Blue chairs by the lake each night to watch the sunset was our favorite. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to make meals each day. The beds were so comfortable and we slept well our entire stay. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!

Wonderful place to rest & recharge!

Stayed 3 night, the place was beautiful, exactly as it was described/shown in pictures. Very clean, right on the water. Check-in/out instructions were very simple and clear. The host was very responsive when we had questions. Overall 5/5, highly recommend staying here!

Lovely Getaway

The cottage had a beautiful view of the lake. It was nice to have two sitting areas outside, one on the deck and one closer to the lake. The cottage was well equipped with everything you could possibly need. We had a wonderful relaxing stay.

Dream place!

This place is amazing: location is great and calm, the lake view is extemely nice Beds were comfortable along with a welcoming interior. Everything has been thought of so that we can have a pleasant stay! The overall communication with the owners was always courteous and pleasant! We will go back for sure!

Relaxing week by the lake

Very well maintained property with private settings. A lots of water toys. Plenty of comforts including gas fire pit and jacuzzi. Very quiet neighborhood. Overall we had very enjoyable and relaxing stay

Beautiful Cottage with Spectacular Sunsets!!!

We enjoyed everything about our stay at this cottage! The location is close to town and also hiking trails in the national park and along the Bruce Trail. We spent the morning sipping coffee by the waters edge, then kayaked, flew kites and went on hiking adventures each day of our stay. We went for ice cream in town and enjoyed the uniqie and beautiful sunsets by the campfire every evening. Swimming was also a big hit with the kids...we paddle boarded and snorkeled. The beauty of nature at this location is phenomenal. We saw butterflies, frogs, rabbits, squirrels, eagles, ducks and seaguls. Amazing cottage for families to spend quality time together and make cherished memories ❤️

Our family stayed here for three days and we had a great experience!! The cottage is beautifully designed and very clean!! It's also very well equipped. The views from the cottage are phenomenal... Wonderful Vacation!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The location is excellent - just a few minutes to town and the park but far enough away to feel private. We had specifically looked for a rental with kayaks and it was easy to get out on the water in the provided kayaks and paddle boards. The view of the water from the deck is fantastic! We had a few questions for the owner and he was always quick to respond and courteous. We'd definitely stay here again.

Do Not Use the Hot Tub and Be Careful With Kitchen Drawers

On the first day, someone in our group was injured when a drawer containing pots was pushed in, resulting in a cut to the side of their finger and a puncture wound from metal on the same finger. To avoid similar accidents, do not open or close the white plastic drawers from the bottom as the sliding mechanisms beneath move independently of the containers. Upon entering the cottage, we noticed that the property was a little dirty, with crumbs and debris littering the floor. We didn't think much of it until we read the final cleanup instructions in the welcome binder, which asked that the place be left practically spotless. A day into our stay, we discovered that the hot tub cleaning supplies bin had been left open during a rainstorm. Although we initially thought someone in our group had taken off the lid, it turned out to be like that the entire time. We messaged the property owner, but their response was apathetic. I hope this won't be taken out of the deposit. Finally, two members of our group developed bad cases of folliculitis and another member had a similar unidentified skin reaction after using the hot tub during the second and third nights. The hot tub is clearly an old one and if a hot tub is not regularly cleaned after it starts getting used, it will accumulate more and more bacteria; infrequent cleanings may not be able to undo this damage. Do not use the hot tub.

Un endroit à couper le souffle

Un endroit magnifique, magique. C’était pour fêter nos 15 ans de mariage (noce de cristal) et nos avons été plus qu’enchantés. L’eau était tellement claire, la vue sur le lac Huron…WoW !!! et que dire de notre chalet, tout était parfait. Le chalet était chaleureux, accueillant, d’une propreté remarquable. Nous avons fait 10h30 de route pour se rendre mais ça valait le détour. Merci à nos hôtes d’avoir permis cette magnifique escapade romantique qui a été au delà de nos attentes. Moi et mon mari avons été vraiment choyés et gâtés de toute cette attention Merci beaucoup pour tous

Perfect getaway

Everything about this property is wonderful. We arrived in the midst of a snowstorm and found a cozy cottage with large windows that were perfect for looking out over the waves crashing onto the rocky shore. I highly recommend a stay here and will definitely return to explore more in the summer. Thank you for a wonderful holiday escape 😊

Birthday week getaway

We had a wonderful time at the Tobermory Cottage. The view is amazing and despite mostly rainy days, the stormy days made for some beautiful pictures. The sunsets we did have were pretty incredible. We loved the privacy of the cottage and the up to date amenities as well as the hot tub. It’s a short drive to the town of Tobermory for a bite to eat. The Tobermory Brewing Company was very good and The Green Door restaurant in Wiarton was excellent too. Overall, it was a great week and thank you to Dan and Lesley for allowing us to stay at their lovely cottage. We highly recommend it.

Wonderful September Retreat

A beautifully appointed cottage overlooking Lake Huron. The sunset view is breathtaking. Lovely and private in September and early October. The only disappointment was our difficulty getting to the water due to the rocky shoreline. (but we are in our 70's) We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. It was both relaxing and revitalizing. A wonderful spot.

Relaxing Honeymoon!

We spent our honeymoon here and it was exactly what we were hoping for! Super cute cottage, with a beautiful view of the water and it is so close to town. Very quiet and private, and we appreciated how much care Dan and Lesley took to make sure we felt comfortable and they promptly answered all of our questions. Great amenities like the kayak and hot tub, and the firepit was great to spend time around. Thanks so much Dan and Lesley!
