Makea, viihtyisä ja puhdas maalaistalo tyyli Cape turvallisessa, rauhallisessa Abbey Courtin naapurustossa lokakuun vuoren juurella kauniissa Berkshires -kadulla. Kätevästi lähellä moottoritietä, mutta syrjäiseltä polulta. Keskeisellä paikalla ja erittäin lyhyen ajomatkan päässä parhaimmista vierailukohteista: Stockbridge (5 mailia Main Street -kadulle - vain 5 kadua päässä talostani!), Tanglewood (5. 5 mailia), Berkshiren kasvitieteellinen puutarha (7 mailia), Norman Rockwell -museo (7. mailia), Jacob's Pillow (9 mailia) ja enemmän. Perfect home, Perfect loca

We stayed here in Oct. 3 adults and the home was perfect size. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked well. The heat was great, showers were hot. The location was close to everything we wanted to do.

The Freckled Hen: Just delightful

Great Location for Touring the Berkshires

This immaculate home is set in a quiet neighborhood close to all major attractions in the Berkshires. It is beautifully appointed and the kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. I love that the home is stocked with plenty of linens and extra blankets. Check in and out was easy. My sister and I verry much enjoyed our stay at The Freckled Hen. We would definitely return here again.

Great location, cozy home, great yard!

The Freckled Hen is the best!!

Absolutely wonderful, one of the best VRBO experiences I’ve ever had! I’ve stayed in many Vrbo’s, this was just fantastic! Lovely, comfortable home and beautiful yard. Great house. Was perfect for 3 couples coming to the area for Tanglewood! House is so well stocked, so clean and comfortable....beds were great! Nancy is a gracious host and readily available if needed! Yard is beautiful, with a barbecue and a firepit. We can't wait to return!

Wonderful home and host!

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. The house is in a quiet residential area, and it is easy to get to so many Berkshire attractions. The kitchen / dining area was a great hub, and fully equipped. Very comfortable bed in the master bedroom. Nancy is friendly and responsive, making sure all details are taken care of. Tanglewood Reunion

Nancy’s house was the perfect place for a Brandi Carlile Tanglewood concert reunion with long time college friends. The house was perfectly set up for us with everything we needed for a relaxing visit and proximity to Tanglewood (15 minutes away) was ideal. She was helpful with suggestions for local restaurants and day trips. I highly recommend Nancy’s home for a visit to the beautiful Berkshires.

Lovely, serene setting and property

Our family of five had a wonderful stay at Nancy's home. We had everything we needed, three spacious bedrooms with queen beds, two lovely bathrooms, and a spectacular backyard setting. The location was perfect for our day trips to Tanglewood, Chesterwood, and the Berkshire Botanical Gardens. We look forward to coming back again soon! If you read the (consistently excellent) reviews for Nancy’s house, you’ll see the same descriptions: clean, comfortable, great location, well-stocked kitchen, great communication with owner, etc. All are true. As a veteran visitor to the Berkshires, I would challenge you to find a better value.

Perfect set-up

We very much enjoyed our stay at Nancy's place. She was very responsive, and thoroughly answered all our questions. The property ha a nice back yard, and is on a pretty quiet street. It was less than a 20 minute drive to hiking, skiing, sledding. The kitchen was well stocked and everything was comfy. Our grandson loved "playing croquet" in the basement!

Family Time in the Berkshires

My mother, cousin and sister-in-law spent a delightful long weekend in the Berkshires. There was plenty of room. It’s a quiet neighborhood at the base of October mountain The cottage has three spacious bedrooms, two floors with two bathrooms. The kitchen and bathroom extremely well stocked with everything you can imagine!! The entire place was spotless !! Nancy was so generous with times of arrival and departure. The garden is lovely and it was so pleasant to eat some meals outside! Will definitely stay here again!!

Great friends weekend

Nancy, our host was very accessible and had lots of great suggestions for activities, restaurants and music. Her home is nicely decorated, clean and very comfortable. Beds were extremely comfortable with nice linens. Plenty of towels and bath amenities. Lovely backyard and gardens (it was super hot this past weekend) so only spent time outside late afternoon and early morning. House is fully air conditioned and has ceiling fans in bedrooms. We had a great stay! Thank you!

A month in the Berkshires

We had a lovely stay and were sorry to Ledbetter. We booked the same property for 6 weeks next year prior to our departure. House worked very well for us--primary bedroom and bath were on the first floor, two secondary bedrooms on the the 2nd floor this giving us and our guests some privacy. House is very well equipped. There were a variety of herbs and spices, coffee, tea, dishwasher tablets, paper towels, laundry detergent, etc. eliminating the necessity of purchasing same. We're looking forward to next summeex

Wonderful house and host

We’ve just returned from a 3-night stay at The Speckled Hen, and we loved it. Nancy, the host, was so thoughtful, letting us know the morning of our check-in day that we could arrive a little early as the cleaning was already done as well as responding very promptly to every email I sent, from the time of booking right through our stay there. The house is even nicer in person than it looks in the photos, with very comfy beds and furniture. The lay-out was perfect for us and our two friends, with a nice first floor bedroom near a beautifully renovated bath, and two other rooms on the second floor flanking another bath. The location is also excellent - VERY easy to get to Lenox/Tanglewood, Stockbridge, and of course downtown Lee. It’s in a quiet, beautiful area, but still close to major roads. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful Winter Weekend

Located on a quiet street near downtown Lee, this is a lovely, clean, comfortable base of operations for fun in Western Mass. Our bed was very comfortable. The downstairs bathroom is large with double sinks; water pressure in the shower is great. The upstairs bathroom is small - upstairs bedrooms are spacious and attractive. Suitable for kids or couples. There are plenty of linens, towels, blankets, and hangers, and the sunny kitchen is extremely well-stocked and equipped. The weather was icy when we visited, but the heat came right up. We didn't use the large backyard, but enjoyed gazing at it as we prepared food and washed dishes. Nice space for games (winter or summer) and for long meals under the stars! Nancy is an outstanding host - thoughtful, generous, warm, and well-organized. Cudos for composting and cultivating a pollinator garden! We especially enjoyed the artistically curated collections here and there. Many thanks!!

Girls Getaway

My group had a lovely stay at the Freckled Hen! Each of us had our own room and the house was stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One night we got about 5 inches of heavy snow and the owner was very responsive in getting the driveway cleared in the morning so it didn't disrupt our plans for the day. We didn't do much cooking other than breakfast but the kitchen looked well stocked with spices, etc. The living room seats 4 people comfortably so it suited our group of 3 ladies but if you are more than four people and plan to stay in at night and watch a movie you'll need to use the kitchen chairs as well. Ah, I forgot to suggest to the homeowner it would be good to leave instructions on how to get Netflix on the TV - it took us a bit to find it but it's there! Lastly, if you're looking for a good nights sleep the beds were very comfortable and everyone slept quite well. We will certainly come back again if the opportunity present itself!

Delightful summer stay

This is the 2nd time we stayed at this property, this time for 6 weeks. Property is conveniently located to major attractions, hiking, charming towns. The main bedroom is located on the first floor, perfect for us; our guests had complete privacy on the 2nd floor. The owner is responsive to guests’ needs and went as far as to order a step stool so i could reach the upper shelves. Prior to its arrival, i located one in the basement. Nancy even picked up our mail in the post office.

Western Massachusetts native who grew up learning how to waterski on the Otis Reservoir and downhill ski at the Otis Ridge and I'm still doing both! My family moved to the Berkshires when I was in high school. I have the fondest memories of all four seasons in the Berkshires and it's where I raised my children. There's no place like it in the world. Former volunteer and advocate of the beautiful and inspiring Berkshire Botanical Garden not far from my home.
