Beautiful House with a great fishing dock

We really enjoyed our stay here. It had a great outdoor space to stretch out and fish. Indoors was clean and very well stocked with everything we needed.

Sister Trip

My husband and three of my sisters took a short spring trip to this lovely home. The house is well stocked with necessary kitchenwares, bed linens, towels and bath items.Our second stay at this home and my sister’s first trip to Matagorda. We had a great time fishing on the home’s pier and looking for shells at the beach. We had one rainy morning that we spent visiting, working jigsaw puzzles and crafting. We also shopped at Palacios and then bought jasmine rice at HG Rice Mill.

The house was perfect for our family’s stay. Well furnished, everything matched the listing and was cool, clean, and comfortable. All appliances worked flawlessly. We really enjoyed the outdoor space and the laundry room and freezer were very helpful. The boat lift was much appreciated and it saved us a lot of time not having to trailer the boat each day. The host was very friendly and responsive. We will definitely request to stay again. Our only suggestion that might have improved our experience is to include a full size or queen bed upstairs in the loft to replace a couple twin beds. We understand that twin beds are great for families with a lot of kids, but would accommodate another couple if there was a larger bed available.

Yearly Matagorta Trip

We enjoyed our stay. We didn’t have any problems at all with the property. Everything worked and there was plenty of room for all 6 of us adults. We caught plenty of fish right off the dock and the area seems safe. We will be back!

Great location. Abundant wildlife

House had everything we needed for our big family. Plenty of kitchen supplies, which was great. We saw so much wildlife including coyotes and a huge bobcat. All from the dock! Can't wait to do it again.

Pleasantly surprised at the house and amenities. Fishing was horrible. Plenty of crabs to catch if that is what you want. A surprise tropical storm and storm surge around house and other properties. Wish there were a few more amenities in Matagorda.

Highly recommend!

I highly recommend this property! It was very well stocked with anything we needed and was very clean. Wifi worked great and my kids really enjoyed playing the Nintendo 64 on a rainy day. We brought our jet ski and it was very convenient to tie up to the dock. We caught lots of catfish and drum from the dock and my son caught an eel! Unfortunately the tide was very strong our entire stay and we were not able to fish from the beach as we normally do. We were not able to go past the second san bar without being knocked over. Also, if you plan to drive on the beach I would recommend 4x4, we pulled out several people everyday that got stuck in the sand. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit!

Great for a large group

The house was great! Very welcoming and comfortable for a large family. I had a couple of questions before booking and the owner was quick to respond. She was very accommodating. The house was clean and looked better than the pictures. The upstairs loft was tight but it served its purpose. 3 beds are in the loft and the other 4 beds are in a tiny room next to the loft. We absolutely loved all the bathrooms especially with our big family! We spent a lot of time on the big deck as well as the outdoor space downstairs. It was convenient having a bathroom downstairs while we were fishing. The location was great. It's close to the beach. Our GPS could not find the house. I knew the house was on Beach Rd and what the house looked like so we were able to find the house. There was plenty of parking. We had a 32ft trailer, 4 vehicles and 2 side by sides. I only have 1 negative thing to say about the house. The pillows were awful. They were thin and flat. I had to put 2 together to make one. So i would suggest bringing your own pillow if you like them fluffy. Overall, we loved the house! The owners were nice and it made our family trip wonderful! If we come back, we will definitely stay here again.

This property is amazing. Kitchen is very equipped with everything and the beds are so comfortable. Cabin was very clean and smelled amazing. Martha was so easy to work with. Will definitely go back
