Uskomaton koti, joka on puumainen. Tämä talo sijaitsee Lounais-Michiganissa, paljon ikkunoita ja upeat näkymät. Vain 90 mailin päässä Chicagon keskustasta ja noin. 3 tunnin päässä Detroitista. 3 korttelin päässä Hagar Shores Beachistä ja Michigan-järven sinisistä vesistä. Vain 9 mailin päässä Silver-rannalta ja Lions Parkin rannalta, 9. 4 km: n päässä Van Buren State Park -rannasta ja 17 km: n päässä South Havenin rannalta. Ihastuttava ja rauhallinen elämäntyyli on loistava sijainti lähellä paikallisia kahviloita, panimoita ja kauppoja, lähellä rantoja ja tuntuu maailman kaukana! We enjoyed our stay! The house was spacious and a great place to gather with family. Kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked, and communication from the host was clear and timely. There are a few minor updates that would make the house even better (some loose tiles, a broken toilet handle, etc.), but nothing that impacted our overall experience.

Great house to celebrate my daughter’s 17th birthday. The walk-out lower level, with screened in hot tub, living room, bathroom and bedrooms, was a perfect space for 6 teenage girls. The large upper living space was perfect for the adults and for all of us to gather and eat and hangout. Twelve total in our group and plenty of room for all of us. The walk through the woods to the beach was a fun adventure. Would stay here again. Highly recommend!

Great Trip

Great house for a large family. The host was very helpful and responsive. Nice proximity to the beach. I recommend Silver Beach about 15 minutes away, but our dogs loved the closer beach, Hagar. That beach was so nice and close , but my parents could not handle the almost 100 steps to get down. It was our first time to Lake Michigan and I would recommend this house! Just don’t go the Waterfront Restaurant unless there is a big sign reading under new management.

Getaway for my 73 birthday

We had such a great time!!! The house is so pleasant to hang out in. The main rooms are surrounded with windows. It almost feels like you’re in a treehouse. I would definitely stay here again even though it could use a little freshening up .

Family stay

Communication was easy and we received timely instructions on travel and use of the VRBO Property. We loved the open layout and large windows with wooded view. There was a large amount of counter space for casual snacking, meal prep and drink area. Thankyou owners!

Best stay ever!

I cannot say enough good things about this property! The house was beautiful and spacious. Valerie was extremely helpful and accommodating. We asked to have our wedding rehearsal dinner at the house and she had no hesistation what so ever! Our bridal party stayed the entire weekend and had plenty of space. My makeup and hair artists had plenty of space to work and amazing natural lighting. Everyone that came to the house complimented how gorgeous it was. Everything was clean and we had everything we could possibly need. The location was only 13 minutes from our venue so was perfect. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking to host a large group of people!

Great place, would stay again

Pros: My family really loved this place. The owners have thought of everything you could possibly need for your stay. It was perfect for all of us, and we especially enjoyed walking to the beach or driving to St. Joseph if we wanted to. Cons: The place could use a deep cleaning but was NOT dirty by any stretch. The bed in the master bedroom was not the most comfortable, and the sheets in the master bedroom were worn out and felt like sleeping on sandpaper.

Beautiful property, beautiful setting!

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary with our adult children, their spouses and our one year old twin grandsons. The week was fabulous! Close to stores, restaurants and the beach. We enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub. We had more than enough room. The owners were very responsive and thought if everything! They even had spices for cooking!!!! Just wonderful, I highly recommend this beautiful property!!!

Great spot for families!

Communication with the host was prompt, thorough, and above all, friendly. The home had several board games for the kids and several areas to gather. It was in close proximity to several beaches and was easy to find. If I were to offer any area of improvement, I would share that the house could have really used new bedding on most of the beds. The fitted sheets were very lose/worn, the comforters needed to be laundered, and the few pillows were very flat/old.

Amazing Home for Family Vacation

Our family of 13 booked this home for our family vacation and we had an AMAZING time! The house had a peaceful, treehouse feel to it. It had ample space to sleep all of us and the grill, firepit, and hot tub were awesome amenities! We also loved the private pathway that led to the street near the beach. The stocked kitchen was also sufficient, especially considering that we cooked all of our meals during our stay. Valerie was a great host. She always responded promptly and professionally and gave us all the information we needed from check in to check out. My family and I would definitely book this house again!

BIGGEST ISSUE: Just hours before we were scheduled to check on, we were notified by the property managers that the house had no electricity due to a storm the night before. We were driving from 7 hours away and planning to stay with my sister and her family, so I told them if them if the power doesn't come back on we will need to cancel our reservation. They said power outages are NOT a reason to cancel and we would still be charged over 1,800 for the 2 nights even if we didn't show up and the house had no power. I inquired if they had a generator and if the house was on city was or a well. No generator and the house is on well water. Let that sink in... No power no water! How can you except someone to pay to stay at your house but not take a shower or flush a toilet?! The power was restored so we ended up staying but the rediculousness of being told we couldn't cancel is the biggest part of this low rating. - Second, the shower in the master bedroom has blinds that you can 100% see through! This is a huge safety and privacy issue. At night, you can stand outside the house and see right into the shower. - There is a security camera INSIDE the house not mentioned in the description - The beds were very uncomfortable.- lacked common items like cooking oil.The PROS: the space is very large and pictures matched the description.- lots of windows and the house was clean.

Great getaway but plan to wash your bed before you sleep in it.

This is a nice property with everything you need to relax. The hot tub was nice but it created a ton of foam which was weird for a hot tub. The beach was accessible by crossing a busy road but we didn’t mind that. The wood fireplaces were a great touch and there were plenty of places to lounge. The kitchen was pretty well equipped. The cleaning though— left a lot to be desired. We found candy wrappers in our bedroom, indicating it had not been vacuumed at all and it was clear they only washed the bed sheets as the duvets were dirty and stained.

Like staying in a posh tree house

The house is amazing, even nicer than the pictures. We loved the kitchen and living room area which is wide open so you can hang out with a large group. It also has two walls of windows looking out at the trees. We went in July so the every thing was green and looked like we were in a tree house. The path to the beach was nice. We took it every day and packed a beach bag and canopy easily. However if you are taking a cooler or wagon you would want to drive it. Valerie was very responsive and a pleasure to work with. Would highly recommend this place for a quiet relaxing vacation.

Great Family Getaway

The property was perfect for our family. The layout couldn't have been better for our 3 generation getaway. The house was tucked away in the woods, very private. The beach was a short walk through the woods. The wifi was great so checking in with work was a breeze. Streaming televisions allowed our grandkids to watch Disney in the early morning so our " big kids" could sleep in! The house was very clean and with more than enough amenities in the kitchen and lots of towels and blankets. The owners were quick to get back to me with a few questions I had and resolved a small problem quickly. We go apple picking in Michigan every year and this house was close to many venues. Also close to restaurants, wine tasting and shopping. We also enjoyed two evenings around the fire pit. And the hot tub was a big hit!

Family wedding long weekend stay

Great experience from start to finish! The house was exactly as pictured and had all necessary amenities. The beautiful dining table set-up with place settings was a nice touch. You felt like you were in a treehouse in the wooded setting. Very private yet close to where we needed to be for our wedding festivities. Fit our family of 7 very well. Beds and couches were very compfy, hot tub was nice to relax in and appreciated the roominess of the bathrooms! Valerie was a pleasure to communicate with and always got back in a timely manner. The washing machine wasn’t working, but we were made aware of that ahead of time and was no fault of Valerie’s. She was at the mercy of the repair service. Def a 5 star experience!

Nice setting, roomy home

Liked: ample seating for all in an open concept home. It was spacious but still felt cozy. Hot tub was great and property is secluded. Weather was uncooperative for us, unfortunately we couldn’t explore but did walk to the beach which was empty (late November). A few odd/not great things. Our kids wanted to watch a movie downstairs while the adults were upstairs. The Roku remote is a rechargeable remote, it was dead so I reached out to ask about the charging cable.Response was “don’t know, guests lose them all the time”. My husband had to go to the store anyway so he bought one. Shortly after we arrived a repair man came to look at the washer/dryer. There was no previous communication about this. Apparently he was meant to have come earlier, but there was a mix up. Luckily he didn’t stay long. Last, the checkout time of 10 am is too early. The home accommodates like 15 people - there was zero time for relaxation in the morning and enjoying the house with trying to get the kids fed and still clean up the house according to the required checklist (strip the beds, start laundry, do dishes, take out trash). It’s a great house, but maybe consider the early checkout time if you’re booking.

Jacson is a registered nurse and Valerie is a non-profit director. They live with their son, Joshua, in Hudsonville, MI.

We enjoy visiting other homes and especially those on or near Lake Michigan. On Valentines' Day 2019, we were on a 'date night', heading into St. Joe and spotted an open house. It was love at first sight! We enjoy hospitality and providing a space for people to gather with their families or friends and create memories and this house provides the perfect space!

We fell in love with this home the moment we opened the door! The space opens up into a vaulted ceiling with skylights and large windows span the back and sides, overlooking a wooded ravine. You have the feeling of being in a serene 'treehouse!' The space is open and great for entertaining. It is a short, wooded walk to a terrific local beach park that is kid- and dog-friendly. We love the three season porch downstairs where you can sit in the hot tub and hear the waves of Lake Michigan. (You can see a sliver of Lake MI from the upper level during winter; we're that close!)
