Kapteenin mökki on viehättävä kalastusmökki, joka tekee täydellisen pakopaikan kuherruskuukausille, pariskunnille lomalle tai jopa 4-vuotiselle perheelle. Keittiö, ruokasali ja olohuone ovat avoinna toisilleen ja luovat valoisan ja aurinkoisen ilmapiirin. On olemassa monia suuria ikkunoita, joista on näkymä järvelle talon kaikista huoneista.

Vain muutaman askeleen päässä järvestä voit varmasti nauttia uinnista, oleskelusta, kalastuksesta, lintujen ja veneiden tarkkailemisesta sekä kaikista aktiviteeteista, jotka antavat mahdollisuuden järvien elämiseen. Talossa on suuri uima-alue, iso uimalaituri ja kansi talon edessä järvelle päin. Et halua missata auringonnousua ja auringonlaskua Kapteenitalon kannelta. Ne ovat todella henkeäsalpaavia, ja kyllä, voit nähdä sekä kannelta että laiturilta.

Hot Springsin kansallispuisto on tunnettu Arkansasin pääkaupunkikaupungina Hernando Desoton jälkeen. (Se on pitkä aika!) Nähtävyyksiin kuuluvat muun muassa: kansallispuisto, Magic Springs-huvipuisto ja vesipuisto, Hot Springs -venesataman Belle, Garvan Woodland Gardens, Oaklawnin kilparata ja kasino, Mid America Science Museum, 5 tähden teatteri, Gangster-museo, Pirate Cove Mini Golf ja ostoksia kauniissa keskustassa. Hot Springs on myös loistava paikka kylpeä ja hierontaa, vaeltaa, ratsastaa, shoppailla, golf, syödä - upeita ravintoloita ja tietysti ..... rentoutua.

Beautiful waterfront cottage

The house was comfortable. Nothing fancy to worry about and had a great dock to sit on and watch the sunset.

Property owners were very gracious and kind. Cottage was just perfect size for me, it has two bedrooms and pull out sofa so it accomadates more. I highly recommend this cottage right on the lake, you even have your own personal pier, nice lounge chairs to sun yourself. I didn’t want to leave!

We loved staying here! Hosts were very easy to communicate with and we enjoyed waking up to the view of Lake Hamilton every morning. Would definitely stay here again

Relaxing waterfront cabin

Clean quiet restful cabin. Nice decor comfortable beds ( double and a queen). 1 bath with plenty of towels.

15 year wedding anniversary trip

We enjoyed renting a pontoon boat and seeing the sites. The rental property was very nice. Mark and Gigi were wonderful hosts.

Loved everything!

We over everything about the property. It was clean, owners were friendly, and the lake was great! Close to town but not right in town and was quiet. We will be back!

Right in the water

Really cute cottage right on the water. Has a pier for swimming/fishing. Cottage was nicely furnished. Bathroom tile needs to be replaced but for the price and location I can look past it 😉. Would stay here again.

Great location on the lake

A beautiful location steps away from the lake. Husband was able to kayak and fish during our stay, we will def be back to experience it when it’s not 25 degrees outside. Driveway is pretty steep and intimidating but husband had no issues with the kayak trailer.

Stay was ok, area is terrific, this cabin not great

When I checked in, the only coffee in the cabinet was decaf, saw no soap, shampoo in restroom for the shower. Bed was stiff, didn't let me sleep well. Would not recommend this one, my family members were all on 5 points rd, there cabins were much better, comfortable.

Clean and served us well

We arrived and picked up our key with no trouble. When we arrived at the house there was dog poop (possibly Goose) everywhere on the ground. When we walked inside the house smelled old and stale but that was nothing a candle couldn't fix. It was clean and everything worked. We had a good weekend and this was a great place to hang out hat at night.

Great weekend!

We loved the location and the house was cute and comfortable. The front yard was amazing and the view was spectacular. We will definitely be going back as soon as possible.. I guess if I have a negative it would be that we needed more utensils and pans in the kitchen, (pizza pan, cutter, baking dishes and frying pans) But for the average person it probably has enough but we love to cook big meals so could of used more pans and spatulas.

Best Day (Vacation) Ever!

This rental had everything we wanted! The water is within steps of the front door. We had a relaxing time reading and swimming all week. The water was clean and refreshing. A boat dock is available if you rent or own a boat. The location is fabulous! It’s within minutes of downtown Hot Springs and multiple grocery stores. The owners and caretakers are hands down some of the best we have ever dealt with. Very friendly and accommodating. Made us feel so welcome and at home. We plan to return in the future!

Captains cottage!

Our stay was wonderful we caught lots of fish.. The house was cute and great location but it was not clean at all there were crumbs under couches that were visible as soon as we walked in, cob webs and dust on the light fixtures and ceiling fans, under the beds haven’t been vacuumed in a while and the sheets on one of the beds had stains on them, the house has minimal for cooking we couldn’t even find a spatula and the pots and pans could use some updating. The house needs a very thorough deep cleaning, some of the dishes, pans and appliances in the cabinets weren’t cleaned properly. I have stayed here a couple of times in the past with no complaints but the drive ways new concrete made it so much more difficult for multiple cars to maneuver around and the cleanliness of the property has definitely decreased since our last visit!

Family vacay

The Captain’s cottage itself was great. The description said there was room for a boat trailer which there was as long as it was disconnected from the truck. There is no boat slip. We tied up to the dock but there is so much boat traffic on the lake our boat took a beating. Had to go to Lowe’s to buy ropes and poles to tie the boat up. Also, there is not much room to turn a full size truck around. If our neighbors had had more than one Vehicle with them it would have been almost impossible. If you are going without a boat, this is a very quaint comfortable cottage. We weren’t able to find a place that rented boat slips by the day. My husband worried the entire trip the boat would break loose and float away. This place is great if you want to just hang out by the lake or maybe rent a boat.

Our stay at this lake house was absolutely perfect for our family of four — my husband, our two small boys, and me. The location is peaceful and quiet, right in the heart of Lake Hamilton, and it truly feels like a little slice of heaven. We loved waking up to the beautiful lake views through the large windows every morning and enjoying our coffee on the front porch while taking in the serenity of the water. Our boys especially loved fishing right off the dock. I highly recommend walking down to the dock in the evening to take in the sunset and shimmering night lights on the water at night. The house was clean and comfortable for a relaxing getaway. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot to unwind and make memories together.

The Captain's Cottage was the perfect place for four ladies to reconnect and strengthen our bonds. The covered deck was where we enjoyed the most of our time. Such an awesome place! Will recommend over and over. Already planning our return trip....

It was exactly what we were looking for. It was a bummer we couldn't open any of the windows though, as the breeze during our stay was lovely. I appreciated the decor, the dishwasher and quality towels. Bed was great. Kitchen was well appointed, liked that a lot! We were outside most of the time. Just amazing. A propane grill would have been more convenient, but the charcoal grill was in very good shape, so, that was nice. The dock was just wonderful! We fished every day and night! Boat watching was so entertaining. We were so happy to have found this property. Thank you so much!

Majoittaja: Mark Buhrow

Mark and Gigi Buhrow have owned the Captain's Cottage for almost 20 years. We also owned and operated the Belle of Hot Springs Riverboat on Lake Hamilton and Gilligan's Lakeside Café from 1983 to 2016. This is where the name 'Captain's Cottage comes from. Mark and Gigi have four children and four grandchildren. They have lived in Hot Springs for over 33 years and love the relaxed lake life atmosphere.

Hot Springs is a great tourist town and buying the Captain's Cottage just seemed like a fun and smart investment. We have been host to long term renters, weekenders and family and friends in our cottage by the lake.
