Beautiful Ocean Views!

The home was overall lovely. The views were amazing and we all enjoyed our stay. The home cleaning needs some work. The kitchen and living area floors were dirty and were not ckeaned before we got there. The refrigerator and oven were not cleaned very well. The stairs look really dirty, but overall need a paint job. There was left over dog poop in the yard from prior renters. The garbage cans were full. There was alot of dog hair on the furniture and floors that could have been cleaned up better. However, the views were beautifully and i would definitely rent this place again.

Fishing vacation

It was a nice place, dont gwt me wrong, but the our first morning there, woke up to ants everywhere, had to throw a bunch of food out, and the last night there i had some friends leave at like 2 am due to ants being in the bed.

Yikes!

Loved the view of the ocean. But you must drive to beach. Pictures suggest differently, as does outside picture of back of house. Definitely the armpit of the neighborhood. Very haunted looking. We were not happy. Inside is so, so. Great internet!

Feeling a little disappointed.

I wasn’t expecting perfection with this house, but I do expect clean. This house lacked some serious clean. The furniture was filthy and in bad shape, the upstairs bathroom wall was dirty and the toilet leaked when flushed. The towel holder was falling out of the wall.The downstairs bathroom had Sheetrock removed on the ceiling from where it looked like they were trying to fix a plumbing issue. This should have been finished before renting it out. Spiders and earwigs in the basement. And the whole basement where two of the bedrooms and a bath are located, smelled of a musky mold. The furniture in the bedrooms and the lamp shades were in horrible condition. I pulled the mattress away from the wall to plug in my phone charger and there were mouse droppings and cobwebs between the head board and wall. This place is filthy. I would think for the beautiful location the homeowners and managers would take more pride. The view was amazing and the house was big enough for our group. The kitchen had the basics, but there were no kitchen towels provided. Housekeeping must have forgotten to leave basic amenities such as a starter of paper towels and dishwasher detergent and garbage sacks because there were none. I called Vacasa and the sweet girl brought us enough until we got to the store. This place has a lot of potential, with some deep cleaning and attention to detail this would be a wonderful place to stay.

Plenty of room

House had plenty of room for my family gathering of my siblings and spouses. But there were a number of issues with the house. The primary one being the dishwasher did not work for our entire 4 night stay. Vacasa did try and addressed the issue but since a part was needed and it was the weekend we ended up washed dishes by hand.

Little Peace Of Heaven on Earth

Loved everything about the house. It's old down to earth spiritual charm. I loved the view from the deck. The house was clean in every room. I loved walking through the front door and seeing the pool table downstairs and all the decorations that gives the house it's charm and classic Gold Beach Style and the reason the name of the house is the Navigator lol Beautiful house.

Mother's Day weekend

Outside of house in very poor condition, mudding entry, terrible ant problem in kitchen, saw no fire detectors anywhere in house, cannot be legal, felt very uneasy after seeing that, best part was the view of ocean.

We loved the view from the deck and the pool table! The kitchen is big and we spent many hours cooking and enjoying our time in there, while having door open and being able to hear the ocean! Weekend getaway

Lots of room for a family to enjoy the weekend. Love the back deck. Lots of updates to house. Clean house. They only thing is there was spiders through out house and ants in master bathroom. But that didnt stop use from enjoying are getaway. Would of love for there to be a king bed in master. Beds are doubles and queens. Overall loved the house and all the space. Plus the views of the oven from the backdeck.

Retro resort

The property is a little older and feels retro in a good way. The rooms were all spacious and the beds comfortable. Beautiful deck looking over the ocean. But beach access is not very good.

Finding My Peace in Memory of My son Ozzie

The Navigator House to me has been always the best place to find Peace, Tranquility and Happiness. I want to take this time to Thank the two people at Vacasa to make this happen for my family. Thanks to Matthew Cunningham and Kelly Sheriff for everything you did for me to find peace at the Navigator house after the passing of my Son Ozzie Pendleton. My son passed away June 16th 2021 and we had plans for him to come and join me in Oregon from California to visit for my Vacation at Gold Beach Oregon it was very important for both of us to see each other again and spend time together. Ozzie was my only Son. So this Vacation was very special to me and my Husband. Tanks to Matt and Kelly we was able to find Peace and Tranquility at the Navigator house. It is so beautiful there and the beach was calm we enjoyed the sunset, walking on the beach seeing the starfish and baby crabs , along with the mountain of mussels and sea anemones , different species of birds. From the deck we watched ball eagles fishing carrying fish. It was amazing and so spiritual to me. We found Oregon Jade , Quartz, Calcite , and minerals and lots of sea glass, sand dollars and Clams. If you are looking for a wonderful Vacation and a house that has old charm and will provide you with memories that will last for a lifetime then checkout the Navigator House. Please do not remove any of the awesome items you may find in the home that is part of the spiritual old charm and the character of the House. Thank you again Matt And Kelly.

We are a crew that travels around installing a Fire Protection System and this was perfect, the guys loved the pool table and the ocean so close.

Great place by the beach, but service the pool table!

Place was great, lots of space, plenty of kitchen equipment, and real easy access to the beach. Surprisingly fast internet for a vacation rental, which we were incredibly thankful for. Only downside was the pool table. A bunch of us are former pool table installers, and booked the pool table was what sold us on this place vs some of the others. It's a nice table and well leveled, but the bumpers are dead, a few rails bolts were loose, and it's in desperate need of a re-felt.

Not safe living conditions

all heater had layers of dirt.. the carpet was dirtier than the dirt driveway. You can see has never been shampooed, there was mold spotting in shower. 50lbs shower door not attached almost hurt my wife. The hole place has been let go and not cared for. Soft spots in floor, dirty all over, i rent from vaca alot and don't expect super special but I like it clean , you can smell the mold and my sinus exploded, it is not safe to rent

Beach stay disaster!

Do not stay here until the issues with this house are fixed. Our son fell through the rotten deck. The house was not clean. There are no smoke detectors in the bedrooms. Downstairs smelled of mold. The home is vastly over-cluttered. We have respectfully requested that VRBO remove this property immediately from its listing until the issues with the house can be repaired.
