Paradise In the Country

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful home. We had a large groups of family staying with us for our daughter’s wedding in Brenham & there was PLENTY of room for everyone. The pool & pool house were amazing. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. There was also a barn on the property if you’re hosting an event there.

Beautiful house! Very spacious with a great kitchen. The pool and spa were fantastic! It is very private but also close to Brenham for any shopping needs. Brenda is an excellent host and communication/responses were quick and friendly.

We loved this peaceful, quiet old home. I would love to know the history of this home and could be a nice addition to leave in the home for the visitors. Although we had no kids on this trip, it has plenty of room and can accommodate large families with kids. Everyone had their own private bathroom. The pool and hot tub is surrounded by fields of wild flowers. The beds and pillows are comfortable. Plenty of hot water for showers. Two washers and dryers and Two refrigerators. Has an iron and clothes steamer which was handy for the wedding we attended. The only thing we needed and missed was a tea kettle as we are a family that drinks hot tea, but we just boiled water in a pot on the stove. If we ever came back to Texas we would stay here again with a large family. Thank you for sharing your home.

Our family gather at a mystery location for the last two year to celebrate our Christmas together. This year we chose Chappell Hill, Texas. We had a great time at the Chateau Relaxo. The house accommodated all 21 of us very comfortably and we all had plenty of space. Everyone of every age enjoyed this country home. A lovely place to gather......

It is an older home, but spacious for our big family. Each bedroom has private bath which is huge with kids! The grounds are wonderful, very well stocked kitchen and 3 refrigerators is wonderful! Second stay and hope to return

Our family reunion here was wonderful . This exceptionally clean, spacious home was large enough for 6 couples- each with their own bedroom, bathroom! The kitchen hosted our cooking and gab sessions as we made wonderful meals to share, also plenty of dining space for all of us to eat meals together! The resort-like pool was incredible, and we spent hours poolside on a hot Texas summer day. The pool house offered space to have a snack or cooldown, shower off, and change before going back to the house. The evening outside with a bonfire was the perfect place to share old memories and toast to our family. The hosts were wonderful; Brenda was quick to respond to our questions! Perfect stay here, I can’t imagine how it could have been better!!

Fabulous weekend

Wonderful home for our group of 13 adults! Clean, great communication from the host! One friendly suggestion - it would have been helpful to provide storage solutions for leftovers: Saran Wrap, Foil, disposable aluminum pans/containers. We had a wonderful catered dinner and had a hard time storing leftovers. Other than that, everything was perfection! We'd love to book this home again for our next family event!

Lovely weekend

We had a fantastic weekend with our group. Brenda was a pleasure to deal with and responded very quickly. The property was fantastic and the beds were very comfortable. The pool was perfect and it was nice to have the pool house to store snacks and beverages while swimming. We had a small problem and they were quick to come over to access the problem and then offered a quick solution. We would definitely stay again.

This property is a perfect stay for a large group or family. My family consist of 13 people ages 7 through 68. It is comfortable, clean and very spacious. The host is very prompt in responding to our needs. 3rd year in a row that we've stayed. Looking forward to next year.

Nice Weekend with Friends

We stayed here for our 6th annual friends weekend getaway. With 12 adults there was plenty of room for everyone! The pool was perfect for the hot days. And the pool house was great to keep snacks and drinks close. The shaded driveway was the perfect place for evening cornhole. Large dining areas with large tables could accommodate everyone at once. Although it is just off a major road we barely heard any road noise while outside. The hosts were very responsive and kind. We hope to be able to stay here again! 10 out of 10 would recommend this lovely old farm house.

Family Reunion

Chateau Relaxo was the perfect house for our family reunion. The bedrooms with king beds and private baths were great for our mostly adult group. The pool was a cool retreat from the heat and the pool house came in very handy. Beautiful house with plenty of seating at meals for our group. Brenda was very prompt with answers to any questions we had especially when we had an issue with the pool. Hopefully, if she lets us, we would book again but take advantage of booking the "barn" for extra space for family members that couldn't make it this year. Thanks Brenda for sharing this wonderful property with us.

Amazing family reunion

83 year old parents with 3 children and 3 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Cousin Camp. This was the perfect place and the host were so great and accommodating. We will definitely visit again.

Great spot for a mini reunion with family!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The kids loved the pool and hot tub. We had fun playing ping pong, croquet, corn hole and walking through the field of wildflowers. It was the perfect setup for 5 families to have their own rooms and bathrooms - lots of space to spread out. The location was close to the Blue Bell factory and a local lavender farm. Thank you for the stay!

We decided on this property as we watched the program Fixer Upper and thought we could be like Chip and Joanna Gains. Turns out that is not the case as this was a much more difficult remodel of an old farm house. Trying to keep the old charm and add in some new features we have brought this property back to life and have enjoyed Christmas with the whole family, celebrated birthdays and even some gender reveal parties that have been extremely fun as we are able to get so many families together in one house. The previous owner added on to this original farm house many times and we liked the charm of the original wood floors and doors that really take you back.
