ÄskettĂ€in uusittu "Las Piedras" nukkuu jopa kymmenen ihmistĂ€ upeaan kohotettuun merenrantapaikkaan kallion varrella sijaitsevalla uima-altaalla. Muuta kuin esteetön merinĂ€köala yhdellĂ€ saaren rauhallisimmista ja kauneimmista rannoista. Talosta suora pÀÀsy merelle. La Chata -ranta on sisĂ€piirilĂ€isten salaisuus: upea, snorklausta, kĂ€vellĂ€ ja jopa surffata! Tai ota se kaikki kalliolta. "Las Piedras" on arkkitehtoninen helmi, avoimilla pohjaratkaisuilla, tĂ€ydellinen viihdyttĂ€vĂ€, upeat nĂ€kymĂ€t, ulkosuihku ja runsaasti mukavuuksia.

DETAILS-lehden perustaja ja hÀnen arkkitehdin aviomiehensÀ rakensivat 1980-luvulla Las Piedrasin (espanjankieliset "Rocks") ihanteelliseksi paratiisiksi paetaksi New Yorkin ja L. A.: n hienoilta ja viihdyttÀÀkseen kuuluisuuskavereitaan. Nimimerkki ankkuroi kodin ja tuo kameoja esiin koko talossa hauskailla tavoilla. YlimmÀssÀ kerroksessa on avoin pohjaratkaisu, jossa on olohuone, keittiö, ruokailutila ja valtava kansi merinÀköalalla, ulkoruokailusetti ja sohva. Kahdessa alakerrassa on 4 nimettyÀ makuuhuonetta, joista kaikista on upea merinÀköala ja toisessa oma kylpyhuone, tÀysi kylpyamme. LisÀksi alemmassa LR: ssÀ on alasvedettÀvÀ kuningatar Murphy-sÀnky ja ylimmÀssÀ kerroksessa on viihtyisÀssÀ tilassa tÀysi sÀnky viereisen kylpyhuoneen kanssa.

Amazing!!!!

With family and friends we have stayed at numerous homes through Vrbo and we loved them all BUT this home was the absolute BEST. The view and location were outstanding! From the main living area and kitchen the view of the ocean was unbelievable! The location and amenities were perfect. We literally were steps from the pool, beach, and ocean. We walked the beach every morning enjoying the sunrise. The beach offered beautiful sand, shells, and sea glass. The pool was a fantastic place to relax and cool off after a day of site seeing. We would go here again in a heart beat.

Great Ocean Front Property

We had a wonderful stay at this property! The views from the house were incredible and tough to beat. The house was well equipped, clean, and as advertised in the photos. The managers were prompt, friendly, and helpful. The pool and quick access to the beach were also great features. Would highly recommend!

Pure bliss

The house is as beautiful as the pictures, fantastic location. We had a hard time leaving to explore the island, which has some other incredible beaches and places to eat, because the house was so relaxing. A perfect place to stay, full kitchen for cooking large meals and waking up to the ocean every morning, so many places to lounge and read a book. The best way to celebrate my 50th with friends, don’t hesitate, this is the place to stay!

Absolutely Amazing!!

This property was absolutely perfect for our group of 7. Plenty of room to stretch out and beautiful common areas to be together. The view off the decks/kitchen/ master bedroom was fantastic! Snorkeling right in front of the house was the best we saw on the island. The check in/out process was seamless. We will definitely book this house again next time we come to Veiques!

Glorious Spot on Vieques

With its sweeping views of 4 islands, star-filled skies, wonderful decks and pool, and comfortable bedrooms open to the sounds of the waves on the rocks below, Las Piedras is an enchanted place. With many different spots for privacy as well as to gather in groups, our guests just wanted to hang out at the house. One said it had all the joys of being on a cruise ship without having to cope with seasickness. We have rented many houses in Bravos de Boston over our 20 years of visiting Vieques. Piedras (before renovation) was our first and best loved. It has been beautifully renovated and the newest owners have filled it with eye-appealing comfortable furniture, wonderful artwork and textiles, plus high quality kitchen appliances, dishes and cookware. Betty and Miles were helpful and very responsive. The location--close to supermarkets lots of good restaurants, on a beach, and in a quiet, walkable neighborhood--could not be any better. While we were there the ocean was calm enough so that swimming and snorkeling right below the house were easily possible many days. Highly recommend.

Stunning views and ultimate privacy

The house is very spacious and airy. The views from the top floor living and kitchen area are fantastic. On a clear day you can see Puerto Rico, Culebra, St Thomas and St John. We enjoyed the spacious pool and the beach below. We highly recommend this house for your next adventure!

A week in paradise

The 8 of us had a wonderful time at "Las Piedras". The house was very comfortable with several areas to hang out: pool area, mid level patio, upper level deck. Spectacular views inside and out. Lots of beach supplies provided: chairs, umbrellas and coolers. Only word of caution is that you have trouble sleeping with the sound of the waves outside, you may want to bring ear plugs.

Great location, great house. Beach is yours to enjoy everyday! House was clean, stocked and on island property management was a text away. Do it and don’t miss the bio bay! Most beautiful thing ever! Thanks Evelyn for renting out your beautiful house. We will be back!!!

Unique and Lovely Beach House

I love the concept of the house! It’s a magical place to stay and the island has many great places to explore! I would consider going again, but not in the summer. The listing could be more clear that there’s air-conditioning only in the bedrooms (wall units that cool things off to a point, but struggle to keep up with the heat). All of the shared living spaces do not have air conditioning, which might be fine in the winter and early spring, but it was pretty hot in June.

Beautiful house. Dream location.

The house was amazing. The ocean views were incredible and we could have spent the entire week sitting by the pool or on the patio. Although we tried to explore all the beaches on the island, our own beach area outside the house was great for snorkeling and taking walks to look for shells and sea glass. We loved everything about this place. The property manager and caretaker gave us excellent recommendations about what to do on the island, where to shop, eat, etc. Our vacation was like a dream. Highly recommend Vieques and the Las Piedras house!

True to Pictures

From the start, our experience with this rental was positive. Evelyn, the host, was very responsive and promptly answered all our questions. Communication with Betty, the property manager, was also excellent, and the check-in process was seamless. Betty, who is local, even stopped by to assist when we had a question, which was incredibly helpful. The house itself is amazing, with an unbeatable location. The beach is perfect for snorkeling, easily one of the best spots on the entire island. The property was well-equipped with everything we needed, including beach chairs, towels, three different-sized coolers, and two umbrellas. The house also featured a washer and dryer, a fully stocked kitchen with a great blender, and an outdoor shower for rinsing off after a day at the beach. Overall, it had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation.

Wow!!!

The property is GORGEOUS and the communication from the owner and property management team was outstanding (Miles was great!) The sweeping ocean views will blow you away, but the care put into the home and experience prior to and through our stay will far exceed expectations of even the pickiest of travelers. We just returned from 7 lovely days in Vieques with our friends and cannot wait to visit again. The recommendations from Evelyn were thoughtful and accurate (we had a meal catered by Chef Beverly Davenport which was delicious.) You will not regret choosing Las Piedras for your Vieques vacation...book now!

Wonderful piece of heaven

Just like most of the other reviews the views and location of snorkeling was amazing!! We had a group of 10 adults and there was plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Homeowner was super helpful then once we were in touch with the property manager, they were just as great! They answered any questions we had and gave lots of suggestions. One of our highlights were the iguanas that live on the rocks outside the house! They came and went every day. They were a pleasant surprise.

Amazing home and awesome location

We were a group of 8 adults (4 couples) and there was plenty of room for everyone. Betty, the property manager, was amazing and very helpful. The views and the location was incredible. We cooked meals here and even though it's not a private beach it sure feels like it. Most days we were the only ones on the beach. We felt safe and my most favorite part about the house, besides the view, the pool, and the beach, was the outside shower. We all used it everytime we showered. It is very strategically placed so that even though your outside in the shower no one can see you. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Book it!

We had a wonderful week at Las Piedras! We’ve stayed at some wonderful hotels and rental houses but we’ve never had a view quite like this! The house sits directly on the water and you feel as if you are on a boat in every room. There is a lovely beach just to the right where you can swim, snorkel and look for shells. The neighborhood is very quiet (even on NYE during our stay) and the little town of Isabel II is a short drive away. The house is impeccably clean and has everything you need - beach chairs, pool noodles, cooking implements, etc. - for a relaxing stay. The owner was extremely helpful to us in finding restaurants, booking a car rental and otherwise providing advice. We loved El Quenepo, El Blok, Buen Provecho, Rising Roost, Billi and Coqui Fire Cafe for meals, and we had a great fishing tour with Salty Spirit. Overall, our week was amazing, and Las Piedras was the start of it all. Don’t hesitate to book this house. I can’t imagine a nicer place to stay on a trip to Vieques!

Lovely Location and Island

6 of us stayed for 8 days and we had a wonderful time!! Property managers Betty and Miles were simply outstanding !!! Immediate response for any questions we had. The home was great, but just a couple things to keep in mind. There is no air conditioning in the main rooms, only the bedrooms. Worked out fine for us because weather was not that hot, but something to keep in mind. There are no TVs but the internet connection was great! Definitely need a jeep for just about any beach you go to. Small dirt roads with very many huge potholes. We didn’t cook at all as the restaurants were fantastic. 2 coffee makers made it perfect for caffeine and decaf people. The inside does need a little updating, especially the windows and the screen doors. The pool was wonderful and refreshingly cool. Overall a fantastic time.

Breathtaking Views!

We've stayed in several houses on this side of Vieques over the last 20 years this house is special for it's location, architectural design, and size. It's RIGHT ON the ocean with a semi private beach that has excellent snorkeling or is great for "beaching it" and watching the incredible waves usually accompanied with surfers! Pro's: Big, well furnished, INCREDIBLE PANORAMIC views, and has the "cool" factor. Location couldn't be much better and it's private (a distant neighbor or two you wont see). Very nice kitchen and amenities (AC in most rooms), beautiful vaulted ceiling in the main living area, huge deck upstairs, and a nice pool which is smallish but literally overlooks the ocean. Very easy to blow off the other beaches in Vieques for a day at the house because it has so much to offer! Con's: Not much here. Keep in mind when you are this close to to ocean things get beat up by the salt air but they do a nice job keeping up with things considering. Probably not a place for younger kids with raised beds in some rooms, decks with open railings, and no TV (we used Sling and a Laptop btw so no biggie). Anyone who has trouble with stairs will not do well here...stairs are the price of having this much size, layout, and views! In short if you have a big crew, no toddlers, and love the ocean this is one of your best bets on this side of the island! We loved it!

Amazing Beachfront Vieques Villa!

We had a fantastic week at Las Piedras! Our two families (4 adults, 4 kids) had more than enough space to spread out, relax, and enjoy the beautiful ocean views. The house has all towels, beach chairs, and enough essentials in the kitchen to get you started. We cooked quite a few meals at home, and the kitchen is well equipped, along with a grill near the pool. There was a north wind the week we stayed, so while we weren't able to snorkel in front of Las Piedras, we enjoyed exploring the beach, looking for sea glass and shells, and watching the Vieques horses that visit. The Bravos de Boston neighborhood is quiet and safe, and close to everything on the island-10 minutes to the supermercado, 20 minutes to Esperanza, and a quick 5 minutes into Isabel II. Evelyn has a great binder at the house with info on local restaurants beaches, restaurants, etc. We took the ferry to Vieques and had no problems. Definitely rent a jeep while you are on the island, as most roads are pretty rough, especially if you want to visit any of the quieter beaches. Evelyn was always quick to reply with any questions, as was the caretaker, Aurelio, who met us at our car rental and took us to the property. We arrived in Vieques right before Covid-19 really took hold; our ferry off the island was cancelled, and Evelyn was patient and flexible as we worked out our revised times to leave the house. Vieques is an amazing place, and Las Piedras was the perfect home to experience it!!

I'm an interior designer/ multidisciplinary artist living in NY's Hudson Valley with my husband and our two teenage boys. We fell in love with Vieques a niumber of years ago and were thrilled to purchase "Las Piedras" in the spring of 2019. Overseeing the design and renovations has been a dream project. It's a quick drive to the main town of Isabel II and to the ferry terminal. Located in the safe, pretty and peaceful neighborhood of Bravos de Boston, sought out for its prime beachfront location and friendly neighbors. (No noisy roosters waking you up here!)

Aside from sustenance, there is no reason to leave! Renting a Jeep to get to grocery stores, restaurants, other beaches, etc. is strongly advised, though.

Work from Paradise! Our home has great Wifi and multiple workspace options. The property line extends into the ocean rocks so swimming in the ocean (and pool, of course) is available even when local restrictions are in place.
