This house is absolutely gorgeous! Plenty of room for the 5 of us, and you could fit more (especially if you have little ones). Well stocked with everything you need. Beautiful views and we loved the fire pit outside. Close to the beach and restaurants. Loved that we could bring our dog. We will definitely return for another visit in the future!

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay! The home was very clean and comfortable, with plenty of space for my husband and me, our daughter, son-in-law, granddaughter, son, and two pups. The kitchen was exceptionally well-stocked with quality cookware, utensils, and appliances, which made preparing meals a pleasure. The views of the bay were absolutely beautiful, and we truly enjoyed the peaceful setting. We look forward to visiting again!

My husband had a great morning fishing from the dock that first day, caught tons of redfish. The home is just as nice as pictured and plenty of room for us. If you have tiny ones may want to bring a couple of baby gates, we didn’t even think about it lol, but the owner has one you can use. The tiny warriors we carried with us enjoyed splashing at the beach and collecting seashells. BJs pizza had an amazing buffalo chicken pizza, and it was a nice slow down retreat

Amazing property

Vacation paradise

House is absolutely amazing & beautifully decorated, and so relaxing!! Loved being on the bay, being able to fish, bird watch & look for dolphins. AMAZING SUNSETS!!! And the beach is just a couple of blocks away! So peaceful & quiet, which is exactly what I enjoy these days!

Perfection

This was my 2nd visit to Legacy Retreat on the Bay, but this time I stayed for 2 weeks!! Perfect time of year!! Had some beach days & a few fishing days from the dock at the house! I haven’t been that relaxed in a long time!! The house is amazing & the view of the bay & sunset’s are just beautiful!! We cooked some & picked up take out a few times. Just an absolutely wonderful vacation!!

Wish we had more time!

What a wonderful place to stay!! Liza and Steve have furnished a beautiful home with wonderful views. They thought of every little detail to make our stay just perfect. The kitchen was equipped with anything we needed to prepare our meals. The beds were so comfortable and made for an excellent night’s sleep. Liza was very accommodating and gracious and made our first trip to St. George Island one we will never forget. Our whole experience was excellent. Our only complaint was that we did not stay long enough. We cannot wait to return!!!

A Charming and Relaxing Paradise

Not often do we have the pleasure of enjoying something which exceeds promises and expectations, but the Legacy Retreat is an exception. We decided to stop by for a long weekend on our way to Orlando to complete the week in the parks with the kids, and ended up wishing we spent the entire week at Legacy. Check-in was extremely easy and the host was quick to respond to any questions. The views are breathtaking, the island has the best relaxed atmosphere, beach access is very easy, and everything is just…nice and easy. My blood pressure dropped around 20 points during our 3 days here. We greatly enjoyed and appreciated our time here away from the rushed chaos of the world and look to return in the future.

Best Family Vacation Spot

We just wrapped up the best beach vacation yet! We spent each morning watching the sunrise with coffee on the dock while dad and the kids fished and then sunset on the other side of the dock. Rented a golf cart for easy rides to the beach. The house had all the things we needed and the kitchen was well equipped for a week of cooking. All beds were comfy and we didn’t even care about a day of rain because the house was as much of a treat as the beautiful beach and bay! We loved watching the rain over the bay from the large covered porch. Our hearts are so full and bodies recharged as we head back to Atlanta to start the next school year! Thank you for helping us create lifelong memories…We’ll definitely be back!!

Wish I had a house just it

We loved everything about this bayside retreat. The layout of the house worked so well for us, with two masters and two decks on the bayside. Every possible comfort was thought of, from wonderful beds to first class cookware and kitchen appliances. I would love to build a house just like it because it was so roomy and convenient. Huge master bath and freestanding tub was spectacular. Everything was top quality. We had great responses from the owner over a couple of minor things that were taken care of immediately. She was so helpful. Our favorite thing was the long pier with seating at the end to fully appreciate the glorious sunsets over Appalachicola.

Family Memories

We’ve been coming to SGI for the past six years. We’ve been trying out different places each time This was the absolute best so far. The home is as super clean comfortable. We love the bay side with a private dock. Hubby loves to throw his net for mullet. We brought our boat this year and caught lots of reds and trout. We cooked fish in the wonderful fully equipped kitchen and ate out on the back deck overlooking the bay. This vacation was 7 nights that felt like 3. We did not want to leave. Thanks so much for sharing this and we hope to return. The only thing we would have loved to have would have been a fish cleaning station, but that’s only because we were lucky enough to have caught fish..so the very minor issue in a week of so much perfection!! Loved this place

I was hesitant to book this property as we wanted a home in walking distance to restaurants and other activities. I am so happy we decided on this property. It is truly beautiful inside and out. It was the highlight of our trip. We never wanted to leave this beautiful home. The photos online are nice but do not do this gorgeous home / views justice. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. Liza has thought of everything! We will definitely go back to St. George's Island and hope we can rent this beautiful home again. Thank you, Liza!
