Jos etsit rauhaa ja hiljaisuutta upea rauhallinen järvi, olet löytänyt kotisi! Sundog Lake Cottage voi nukkua jopa 7 henkilöä kahdella makuuhuoneella ja parvella. Täysin varusteltu keittiö saa sinut tuntemaan olosi kotoisaksi. Uloskäynti kellarista mahdollistaa helpon pääsyn järvelle ja pihalle. Paljon vihreää ruohoa juoksemiseen ja pelaamiseen tai vain auringonpaisteeseen nauttimiseen. Avoin konsepti-oleskelutila tarjoaa upeat näkymät järvelle jokaisesta ikkunasta, mutta miksi nauttia seesteisyydestä sisäpuolelta… ota aamukahvi kannelta ja katsele asukkaita kaljuja kotkia. Nauti illalla illallisella piknikpöydällä ruokailuviihdettä tarjoavien loonien kanssa!
Vieraat saavat nauttia propaanigrillistä, palokuopasta, Jon Boatista ja kahdesta kajakista, ulkopeleistä oleskellessaan täällä. Sadepäivinä on monia lautapelejä, kirjoja ja elokuvia vieraiden nautittavaksi. Sundog Lake Mökissä on myös pesukone / kuivausrumpu, parvi-alueella oleva ilmastointilaite, tuulettimet ja oma telakka.

Peaceful get away

The property was secluded and peaceful. Fishing was great from right off the dock. The house was very clean and extremely well stocked. We very much enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed our stay and the house had everything we needed.

We enjoyed fishing and kayaking on the lake. We heard the loons, a wolf howl, and even heard a moose one morning. The owners are very accommodating. The recent updates are very nice.

Relaxing at Sundog Lake

What a wonderful place to get away to. It has all the comforts and amenities of home with a beautiful view every morning and night. Lots of wildlife - deer, bald eagles, loons, sandhills, porcupine and many species of birds. And, fishing was GREAT! Thank you, Kristin

Sundog Lake Cottage

The house was very clean and had a well stocked kitchen. The lake amenities were great also with everything we needed. The lake is very quiet and all we heard was the loons . Coffee in the morning with the lake views were very enjoyable. We saw the resident eagle each day and we even heard a moose one morning. Fishing was great and we caught bluegill, large/small mouth bass, pike, and walleye. Only negative is the Kitchen appliances are dated and need to be updated.

A great week at Sundog Lake

We had a great stay at Sundog Lake. The weather was less than perfect, so it was great to have plenty of indoor space to hang out. We watched a bunch of movies, played a ton of cards, enjoyed the board games, and read a lot. The lake was super quiet, I’m guessing due to the weather. We never saw another boat or kayak out all week! Perfect for our own little kayak trips between raindrops. We also took shot day trips to Munising and Marquette. The cabin had all we needed to be more than comfortable and we appreciated the personal touches.

Incredible location

This place exceeded our expectations. We were unsure how private it really was, as the pictures didn't show the sides of the house from the outside to see what was was nearby. It was at the end of the road and any neighbors were blocked by pine trees. The view from the deck and inside was magnificent, especially with the fall colors in full force. The beds were comfy, the kitchen had everything necessary. The place had everything we needed and the property manager was easy to get ahold of and very accommodating. We would certainly rent this place again. Loved it.

Perfect!

The pictures on-line were impressive, but did not do this place justice. The cabin is so beautiful, the lake is beautiful. It's all picture perfect. The access to the lake is right there, just jump in the kayak and go. Go explore the lake on the kayak, there is cool stuff to find! The fishing was great off the dock for the kids. The house is fully stocked with spices, pot/pans, fishing poles etc. etc. The first night we arrived we heard a pack of coyotes howling then a wolf returning the howl, pretty awesome. Too many fun memories to list all. The host was a great communicator via the VRBO app, e-mail or text. No complaints at all with this property. Canyon Falls was close by for the days that were a little chilly. Awsome experience, will be back!

Amazing UP Get Away

From quick, accurate and friendly communication, to an amazing home in a beautiful location, you will NOT be disappointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this wonderful cottage. Sundog Lake is clear, full of fish and ready to cool you off in a nice refreshing swim. The boys (2 16 year olds) loved fishing from the kayaks and off the dock. The swim raft made a nice place to get out and rest and get some sun. The home is well stocked with everything you need. It was very clean upon our arrival, and had everything we needed to get away. The location was perfect, as we look to "get away from it all" when we travel to the UP. It's on a rarely traveled road, a quiet and calm lake, and ready to help you melt your stress away. We had visits from loons, heard the bald eagles, enjoyed gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, a nice fire by the lake, grilled on the deck, and watched movies until after midnight. If you enjoy getting away from it all, you won't be disappointed. We've rented four cottages in the UP over the years, and this is the first we will definitely return to!

Peaceful, Serene, Wildlife

The log home was a great VRBO find and the owner was very easy and helpful to work with. The home was very clean and the views were amazing overlooking the lake. The fishing was pretty decent as well once you know where to fish. Mostly bass and bluegill lake with a few perch. We saw lots of wildlife and even heard the wolves howling and saw moose tracks on some of the two-tracks. There was plenty of dishware, the beds were comfy and roomy, the outdoor furniture was comfy as well. The check in and check out was super easy. I promise you wont be disappointed with this home if you like the outdoors and like to panfish.

Another wonderful week.

This was our second year staying at this location and it was just as great as the first. With the exception of personal items and food, almost anything else you may need is provided. The weather was perfect and the lake peaceful all day. Unlike our first visit, we spent most of our time at the home and it was so relaxing sitting on the deck, sitting by the fire or fishing off the dock. The week went way too fast. Thank you for opening your home to us.

Lovely getaway

We had an amazing time at Sundog Lake! The property was clean and open, and the views of the lake were beautiful. It was very quiet and the view of the stars at night were amazing. We hoped to see the aurora on our last night, but it was a bit overcast so we missed it. Hosts are incredibly responsive and provide excellent instructions. We hope to visit again!

An incredible getaway

A beautiful home on a quiet lake. The home was very well supplied with just about anything you will need to enjoy your stay. We spent several days, grilling out, sitting around the fire pit, relaxing on the deck and catching bass off the shore. The wild life was incredible, seeing the eagles, loons and even a heron on a couple of occasions. This was topped off with a fawn and doe wandering into the backyard and eating grass a few feet from us off the deck. The whole week was absolutely perfect and it was hard to go home. Thank you for opening your home to us.

Sundog Lake Cabin has it all!

We enjoyed our stay so much! Beautiful and private. Had fun swimming out to the swim island dock platform with the kids, they loved jumping off! Kayaks and row boat were a huge plus. Fishing was excellent off the dock, we caught bluegill and large mouth bass. Heard and saw Loon’s and deer. Enjoyed s’mores and hotdogs over the campfire. They had everything you need for a great memorable stay. Cabin was spacious and beautiful! Owners were great and communication was excellent for any questions or concerns we had.. Highly recommend this cabin!

Beautiful Getaway!

We visited Sundog Lake Cabin as a family vacation this year! It was bea‐u‐tiful and very well taken care of! It did rain every day we were in the UP, BUT thankfully not the whole day so we were still able to enjoy outside time there. We even lost power at one point because of a thunderstorm, but the owner was extremely responsive regarding updates from the power company and power was back on within a couple hours! The view from the cabin was stunning and our Golden Retriever LOVED swimming in the lake and trying to catch frogs! 😂 We loved out far off the beaten trail it was and definitely plan to rent again someday!

Perfect location

The cabin was close to our property enabling us to get a lot of work done and do a little hunting as a bonus. Looking forward to staying here again and highly recommend it to others. Very clean and well maintained. 5 stars all the way!

Everything was excellent caught plenty of fish and had a great time relaxing with the family.

Great property and relaxing atmosphere. No complaints about the owners or the property communication was excellent. Only note is that all of our gps took us to an old logging road and had trouble turning around. After getting back to 95 and following directions the owner gave it was simple to get there

Amazing and Awe Inspiring

Communication with the owners were very positive. They were responsive and friendly. When we first arrived, we were met with picturesque views like one would see on a postcard. The cottage was very clean, and the amenities were plentiful. We had a great mix of weather during our stay. The first couple of days were perfect allowing us to use the kayaks and rowboat so we could enjoy the water. During stormy weather we enjoyed watching the storm over the lake. Many great memories were created that will last a lifetime. We will be back to the Sundog Lake Cottage to create many more.

Hi! We're Dave and Kristin and we're excited you're looking at our Cottage. My (Kristin) family had a cottage on this lake when I was growing up and I learned to swim and fish on Sundog Lake! This is such an amazing place that we decided we wanted to begin our own memories at Sundog with our family.
