Good location

The location and the beach are very nice. I love Panama City. However, the condo needs some care. The stove glass was broken, the beds make a lot of noise, and the fan in the bedroom was very noisy; it looks like it was falling apart, so we couldn't use it. But the worst thing ever was the building elevator; it was terrible, very slow and always full. Sometimes we had to wait about 20 to 30 minutes to get in.

Beautiful Condo

The condo was absolutely beautiful and had an amazing view of the ocean. We loved our stay. It was decorated beautifully. The beds were comfortable and having 3 bathrooms was a big plus. The staff were pleasant at check in and we even ran across a staff member our first night that showed us around. She took us and showed us where every pool was along with a few other places. That was very helpful and we really appreciated it. The only thing missing in the condo was pot holders, which wasn't a big deal. We didn't cook a lot.

Great space, great complex, squeaky beds

We loved the space of the condo and it was plenty stocked with everything we could need and then some. It was very clean. The elevators are what you would expect from a large building. It was great when there were operators managing them. Our only complaint is the squeaking of the beds. That is the only reason we would not recommend this condo. Sleep is challenging. If that was fixed, this would have been a 5 star rating all the way.

We were kicked from condo.

We were asked to leave our condo over and issue the day prior. Nowhere in the contract does it say you are able to be removed from the condo for the issue we had. Also Wi-Fi in condo was awful and the wait on the elevator was worse than what we realized. 45+ min waits each time for the elevator

Dirty & broken

Indoor pool cold & dirty. Hot tubs dirty. Our condo had numerous missing items, things were broken, & it was dirty. Washer has mildew/ mold-- couldn't re-wear our clothes... the washer made everything stink horribly. Closets couldn't be used because stuff was just piled in them to the top. Air filter hadn't been changed in a very long time. Elevators broken most the time. Security was very rude. Bathroom by indoor pool was unusable it was so extremely dirty. Beds were uncomfortable & extremely loud/squeaky. We will never stay at tidewater again. Good price, but we would have paid more for a place that didn't ruin our 1st vacation in 4 yrs.

Disappointed to say it lightly


Stayed 7/8/23-7/14/23. For the amount paid to stay in a beach front condo, you expect things to work. The refrigerator warmed before cooling. Contacting Vacasa to help was like pulling teeth and they pretty much treated us like children. The coffee maker was broke. They DID replace that. The room had damage prior to us being there that we took pictures of, but upkeep is definitely needed. Getting help with anything takes waaaaay more time than it should and you have to argue with Vacasa to even get them to do anything. This will be the first and last time we deal with Vacasa. It was very much “We got your money, now deal with it.” The best thing is the view. Other than that, spend your money elsewhere. The resort itself, I have no complaints about.

Tidewater Beach Resort Unit 2711

The grounds were well maintained and the security definitely was nice. The resort runs like a pretty well oiled machine. This unit was not the worst place we’ve ever stayed but definitely was not the nicest either especially for the money. The beds are very loud and the mattresses need to be updated. The kitchen was not well stocked
 there are 2 coffee pots and 1 keurig but only 4 forksđŸ€·đŸ»â€â™€ïž There were 5 of us so that was interesting. The biggest pot was a saucepan so that was challenging as we prepare most meals in our condo while vacationing. The unit could stand to be updated a bit. None of the pillows had pillowcases only some had a protective cover but some had nothing. There were no extra blankets to utilize the pull out sofa if needed, only an extra set of sheets and 2 (pillowcaseless) pillows. The towels and wash rags were however plentiful. It was somewhere to lay our head and we enjoyed our trip. The weather was perfect.

Perfect Girls Getaway

We stayed for an extended weekend and all LOVED this condo. There were four of us and everyone slept comfortably and we had more than enough room to sprawl out and chat the nights away. Beds were lovely and comfortable. Very clean and well maintained. Kitchen well stocked with utensils/cups/plates. The view was the best part of this spot. Right on the beach, looking down at the ocean, we saw fish and beautiful sunsets. Elevators were fast and reliable. Close to the pier shopping area and a short uber ride from other beaches and shopping areas. Overall, this was a wonderful weekend and experience. Would recommend! Can't wait to visit again in the future.

Nasty and outdated

This property was nasty. Sand in the beds like they weren't changed. Someone's big fake eyelash on the dresser. Couches old, faded and dirty. We wouldn't set on them unless covered with a sheet. The place needs painted. One bathroom door would barely shut. The oven door wouldn't shut. Only 7 forks to eat with! Pull out drawer on washer broke. Shelves in fridge broke. Beds sound like you're climbibg on a saddle when you get them. Bedrooms on end right outside elevators so you have to listen to people getting on and off all night and running around. Kids rung our door bell while we were sleeping. Why have a doorbell?? Just would not recommend at all! Not for what they charge!

Beautiful views at Tidewater 2711

This condo was roomy enough for our party of 7. The views were absolutely breathtaking. We saw dolphins, jellyfish, and stingrays. Definitely would stay here again!

Rude and embarrassing check in

My family and I decided to stay here for one night as a scenic pit stop on the way back from Disney. Upon checking in, we were told that we needed to pay an additional $42 per person for access to the pool and other onsite amenities, and a $20.00 parking fee. I insisted that we had already paid in full and completed all the required registration and paperwork. The employee didn’t even ask my name or check if we had or hadn’t completed the registration and fee. I showed the confirmation email that said the parking was paid for and that I did in fact complete the registration. I asked to talk to the manager who ended up being just as rude and condescending. She GRABBED MY PHONE without permission and scrolled down to a portion of the email and said “read that part” as if I was an idiot. The portion of the email explained the separate registration and entertainment fees. I again explained that I understood and that I had already completed the payment and registration. At this point, another guest who was clearly intoxicated interjected himself and began mocking me and telling the staff and manager he would “pray for them” because of having to “deal with me”. Both the initial employee and the manager began to laugh and audibly agree and thank the guest who spoke up. I surrendered at this point because I was just humiliated and my family was waiting to get to the room. Halfway through the registration it was CLEAR to me that I had already completed the registration. I insisted that the manager look again at which point she FINALLY ASKED FOR MY NAME, and sure enough found our parking pass, registration, and payment confirmation which was in a file on the desk right next to them. You would think that after realizing it was their error and mistake they would apologize. Wrong! The manager instead began to cancel explain how it was still my fault because I didn’t have an assigned unit which is how they look people up when they check in. KEEP IN MIND that I had asked them to check my name and was dismissed earlier. At this point I just wanted to complete the check in and get to the unit. The first employee was tasked with completing the final part of the check in and instead began chatting with the drunk guest who had interjected themselves earlier and completely ignore me and my family. Frustrated, I “interrupted” their conversation and told him and the manager that I would appreciate their attention to complete the check in. BAD!

Beautiful views

Our condo was big and exactly what we needed the views were beautiful. Location was perfect. My only complaint as with most other reviews I had read previous to our stay... THE ELEVATORS they are in fact a nightmare being claustrophobic I had to get off the elevator numerous times as people get so frustrated waiting they literally pack it so full you cannot move!

Room and service were perfect!

The view from the balcony was phenomenal. We loved having 3 bathrooms. It really saved time when we were getting ready for dinner. The check in staff was very friendly and helpful.

We plan our vacations 3 month prior, only for the first day of them , to be told that the apartment was in very poor condition. And the solution given to us was to spend more of our money , that was already plan to be used in the vacations.

Very nice condo

Nice condo with two “suites” and bunks in the hall along with a 3rd full bathroom (great for two families with kids). Condo was clean and had most of what you would need for a beach stay—no pot holders and could use some plastic plates/cups for kids to use (or clumsy adults). Before you read further, let me say that the condo was great itself; the complex on the other hand was very deficient—hence the 3 stars. I would have rated this a 5 star, but the elevator situation is terrible. Without a guarantee that all of the elevators were running I would not stay again. Every day/nearly every time we waited at least 30 minutes for an elevator, on check-in and check-out days it was over 1 hour—you read that right, 1 hour just to get an elevator you could get on. We checked out 2 hours late because we couldn’t get our stuff out of the condo and down to our cars. There were at least 2, and at times 3, elevators out of service the entire time. My guess is the other elevators were close to breaking down too due to the constant use and full loads. Also, the free beach chairs must be reserved each day instead of a week/stay length of time which means waiting in line for 15-30 minutes every morning before they open; and trust me—you are only getting back row as they reserve the “good” chairs for people who are paying. (Someone in line behind me got a front row chair after I asked and was told there were none; I asked him how and he told me that he had paid because a former guest had told him that was the only way to get a front row chair.)

Another Month Well Spent

Love the Tidewater and all it's staff. Friendly, efficient, courteous and responsive. Minor issues are dealt with very quickly. The property is quite well looked after and Angela and her crew do an amazing job. We ran into a couple of issues with our unit that required owner contact and consequently we went without a couple of amenities for 90% of our stay but, the issues that could be solved by maintenance were handled well. Definitely looking forward to next winter and we recommend the Tidewater.
