Escape to the Oregon Coast at this family-friendly, beachfront home with spectacular views of the ocean and Chief Kiawanda Rock. The full, well-equipped kitchen is ready for you to prepare your favorite recipes, while the furnished deck, complete with a gas grill, offers additional options for both cooking and dining. Inside, the living area is highlighted by floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the beach, and there's also a sunroom with a small bistro table for two if you want to sneak away for morning coffee or a two-player game.

What's nearby:
Walk right out to the beach from this home for romantic walks, beachcombing, or fun in the sun, sand, and surf. Walk a mile north to explore the sandstone cliffs of the Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area. Grab a beer at the oceanfront Pelican Brewing, also a mile away, go horseback riding through Green Acres Beach & Trail Rides, just a half-mile south, or head across the river to find a selection of restaurants, markets, and recreational outfitters.

Pacific city stay

Overall it’s a great place, does have a lot of stairs over 3 flights. Could use a good deap clean and updating of a few items (chairs, glass window screens). But is a great home for a big family vacation right next to the beach.

Great location and beautiful beach!

The location was perfect with the beach right across the street! House was good only issues were the bbq didn't work and coffee maker had a broken glass carafe.

Overall nice place and location

I enjoyed the location and the view from the house. There were minor things I would have changed or added, like a new BBQ Grill. I liked how they had extras like dishwasher pods and laundry tablets and shampoo/conditioner, seasonings in the kitchen, etc.

With views that can’t be beat, a central location, and easy access to the beach- this was an amazing place to rest and recharge. Could be modernized but for price and location, it’s hard to beat.

The whole house was kept clean and the rooms were big enough for all our guest. The house was right next to the beach entrance. Beautiful view from the top floor!

Great family home

We enjoyed our stay. The home worked well for the most part for our needs. Great access to the beautiful beach. Crib not suitable for babies. Crumbs in drawers, fridge, wet dishes and disorganized but we cleaned up and enjoyed cooking. Beds were good. Could use some updating/repairs overall. Couldn’t use the deck broken furniture.

Haystack House

Great location and very nice house. Everything you need is nearby. Great view and access to the beach. Use of garage was a bonus for motorcycles. The house can use some upkeep but was not an issue for our stay. I would recommend to rent this house.

Wonderful Stay

The location was great!! The weather wonderful and the house was perfect for so many of us (12)! Gave everyone a space to be together or on their own. The closeness to the beach was a real gift. Everyone could enjoy the beach.

The house was ideal, as my 3 year old grandson said within 5 minutes of arrival, "This house is GENIUS!" Everyone had a great time, the ocean view was incredible! I would recommend to others!

Beautiful location and pleasant house

This house is in a remarkable location. We had a few perfectly clear sunsets we could enjoy simply standing on the balcony. The beach is also just about 25 years away. There were 12 of us and had plenty of space and we had a really wonderful time. That said, I will always try to avoid staying in Vacasa managed homes. It was a great deal for the price but I'm not sure I'd choose to go back. I wouldn't describe it as clean or cozy but great for a long weekend on the coast.

Beach Views and Beach Walks

Property was as described with beautiful ocean views from the main living area and easy Beach access to a beautiful beach. Tidepools, surfing, shells and rocks. Half hour drive north or south to Tillamook or Lincoln City - great day trips. Lots of space for 10 people in our group. Big kitchen, living room and dining table. Outdoor shower - heated! Perfect for rinsing off the sandy feet. Quick response from property management - a really lovely stay!

Adequate, barely

This home had some amazing things going for it. The views were amazing. But the windows fogged or were so cloudy that you couldn't see out of them. The couch was very comfortable. The kitchen had the basics of what you need to enjoy meals. The fireplace is a nice touch. There was a lot of space, plenty of bedrooms and common space. But the beds are very old and uncomfortable. The chairs on the 2nd floor were thread bare and didn't look sturdy enough to use. The patio furniture is unusable. Salt water is so hard on things but when something is completely rusted and unsafe, it should be removed. The bbq was filthy and had no propane and the picnic table had been burned...had a big hole. All in all we made it work and really loved the beach access and views but the beds being so uncomfortable was really disappointing.

Enjoyed location! Minor issues

We loved how close this house was to the beach! Thought it was strange when they said the stay didn’t include a vacuum when we asked, felt weird not being able to stay very clean as we stayed. Otherwise was very clean when we showed up! The garage was locked which gave us just the entry way to leave all of our shoes/sandy things. Also the beds were all very uncomfortable! I ended up blowing up an air mattress after the first night and using that. This home has a beautiful view from the top level! But with the fact we had 7 very small littles, those many stairs were a lot so just be prepared. There was also a missing deck piece in the railing so we had to keep the kids off that part.

Beach wedding

Location near the beach was excellent. House overall was good. We had four basic areas of concern: 1) Stained and worn carpeting created the feeling the house was not clean 2) Windows appeared to have not been cleaned in a very long time which hampered the view of the ocean 3) the digital front door lock was not fully functional. We were able to enter the building using the digital code but could not lock the house using a code. The device was so unserviceable that we had great difficulty even locking it using a key. 4) Two parking spaces, with no garage parking, was not adequate for a house of this size. We were a group of adults attending a wedding. The home would be adequate for a large family with 1 or 2 vehicles visiting the beach.

The view from the uppermost floor toward the ocean was amazing! Overall, we did have a very pleasant stay. Throughout our two weeks stay (9 people), we had difficulty with the front door locking mechanism. House stays longer than one week should be restocked with paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, etc. Based on a previous review, we had requested the outdoor grill be repaired. We were informed that it would be in working order. We immediately found out that NOTHING related to the grill had been addressed. The property manager was contacted immediately, and she provided a brand new, small tabletop grill with propane cannisters the following day. While this was better than nothing, we ended up eating out more than originally anticipated. The upper deck has a hole which is covered by a thin piece of plywood. Most of the outdoor lights do come on. There is no “bottom” in the high-backed chair at the dining room table and the sectional sofa is worn out. The sectional sofa sits WAY too low to the floor for adults. The TV on the second level did not work at all, and the TV on the upper level needs a local channel guide and instructions on use. Additional items: Clean the wall heating units thoroughly. The sink drain in the master suite is plugged. The wall outlet in that bathroom quit working. The first-floor bathroom has a toilet tank leak, and the wall heater does not work. The refrigerator/freezer water dispenser does not work. The door shelving is missing in th

Beautiful

With this house you cannot beat the views, how close you are to the beach, or how quiet it is. The house itself is incredibly beautiful. Plus, you’re within walking distance of pelican brewery and a coffee shop. However, the cons to staying here, we had elderly people with us which made the three flights of stairs difficult. Also, what was provided in the welcome binder did not match what was told to you. We had to call for updated Wi-Fi information, and In the back of the book we were given a list of house hold chores to complete then after provided with paying for it. We could not put our trash out to be taken out and the refuse station is only open three days out of the week. For us that meant storming our trash bags on the bottom floor until we could take it to the refuse station. So, as you can imagine our trash piled up and it felt disgusting. We could not even put it in the garage as there was no key, and placing outside with wildlife got into it. In addition we have to pay to drop our trash off when the. Neighboring rental Homes were able to put their trash in a trash can and put it out to be picked up. It felt like everything was out together quickly and cheaply including a board over a potential hole in the third story balcony and the crip being zip tied together. When asking to clean, strip beds and remake beds the dryer took three different times (a hour each time) just to get one load dry., and we ended up buying several of our own cleaning supplies to try and meet the renters standards. While the house was beautiful and the views cannot be beat. We will be staying somewhere else the next time we visit pacific city!

Great View and Layout

Great view and layout for multiple families staying! I liked having bedrooms on every floor. Only down side was the beds. They were small and not the most comfortable. But great views, easy access to the beach and enjoyed the layout & living space upstairs!

Sea Stack View is great!

This home was great! The house has 5 full bedrooms & a nursery, 3 1/2 baths, and was nice and clean. We enjoyed the view, the neighborhood, and the access to the beach and town. The big kitchen table is great for meals, games and jigsaw puzzles!
