Exceptional family escape - Lakefront on a flat lot in a spring fed no wake cove
If you are looking for the ultimate family escape with the amenities of home but equipped with a lake and dock twenty steps from the house, this is the spot for you. We are located on the Gravois Arm in a quiet, no wake, spring fed cove that provides the perfect swimming and fishing hole. Equipped with playground equipment, water toys, kayaks, etc., and an indoor open garage space with ping pong, darts, seating area, and workout equipment there is always something to keep everyone entertained.
In the evenings, relax and enjoy yourself on the large deck while grilling your favorite meals. After the sun starts to set enjoy a nice fire right off the deck, perfect for creating S'mores or just relaxing and enjoying the evening.
Living Area
As you enter your vacation rental you are greeted by a sunroom with beautiful views of the attached deck, dock, and cove. Perfect for reading a book or enjoying a little social time.
To your left is the open floor plan living, dining and kitchen areas. A 40" Sony TV (Google Chromecast) sits atop the mantel above the wood burning stove insert in the fireplace. A large sectional with an enormous ottoman and another chair/ottoman directly facing the fireplace provides a quiet sanctuary to enjoy a little television or one of the DVD's available.
The dining area is directly off the kitchen providing a comfortable area to dine, play table games, do crafts, or puzzles.
The kitchen area, though not exceptionally large is fully equipped with all the amenities of home; a full-sized electric range/oven, a large refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, coffee pot, and all of the pots, pans, dishes and utensils you might require. The openness provides efficiency and ample space to prepare meals. Ample dry food storage and a large refrigerator/freezer provides adequate storage for all of your items. A rolling kitchen island expands to provide additional counterspace to lay out the food for your hungry troop.
Directly off the kitchen is a full bathroom with a shower. The closet houses the hot water heater and electrical panel.
Sleeping Quarters
Heading upstairs, sleeping quarters are just a few short steps away. All rooms in the sleeping areas and bathrooms are equipped with ceiling fans to continually circulate air. At the top of the stairs are the controls for the whole house attic fan, an excellent way to move air when the temperatures are not too hot or cold.
To the right is the master bedroom with an ensuite and a small private deck overlooking the cove. The room has a queen-sized bed, nightstand, a full dresser, a TV (Google Chromecast) and a large closet for guest use. The room also provides two twin beds for families with small children or additional sleeping quarters depending on the make-up of your party. The bathroom houses a stand-up shower, toilet, and sink/vanity. The balcony off the bedroom provides an excellent spot to relax and watch the world go by with excellent views of the cove and surrounding areas.
The second bedroom provides views of the back and south side of the house. The room is equipped with a queen-sized bed, two nightstands, a dresser, TV, and large closet.
The third bedroom, most often used as the "kid's" room is equipped with three twin beds and a trundle, sleeping up to four people. The room has west and north exposures and houses access to the attic.
The main upstairs bathroom is fully equipped with a full tub and shower, toilet, sink/vanity, washer and dryer and all of the bath and beach towels.
The two and a half car garage is a perfect place to hang out on dreary or rainy days. The garage is open and airy with lakeside windows and ceiling fans and platform fans to keep the air circulating. The area is furnished with a table and chairs for socializing, a ping pong table and dart board for the game players, some exercise equipment and ample space to work out for the fitness minded, and plenty of room to set up outdoor games.
Outdoors Provisions and Activities
The large deck opening off the sunroom provides a perfect place to grill, sunbathe, or socialize. The swing set and slide are perfect ways to keep the kids entertained when they are not enjoying the water. Renters have two community docks at their disposal. The dock in front of the house provides a nice, covered seating area. (owner's house their boats on this dock). Renters are also welcome on the owners "floating patio deck" providing covered and sunny areas, a table with plenty of seating, anti-gravity chairs and a water slide for the kids. Although there are no boat slips available renters can tie up on the north side of either dock or the south side of the floating patio dock. There is a boat ramp located on the property. (ramp is usable except when the lake level decreases below 653)
Renters are welcome to use the kayaks, paddle board, and peddle boat along with a multitude of water toys and yard games to keep everyone entertained. i.e. water guns, floating mat, bags, washers, ladder golf, horseshoes, basketball hoop, and more.
Additional Information
Owners live next door so there will always be quick and accommodating service for any issues or questions. We are very respectful of your privacy but available for any questions or needs you may have.
Several restaurants, bars and gas docks are short boat rides away and several are only quick car rides if you do not have a boat. Fishing is excellent on this end of the lake with, bass, crappie, catfish and bluegill right in the cove and/or just short boat rides away. Several restaurants, bars and gas docks are short boat rides away and several are only quick car rides if you do not have a boat. The owner will be more than happy to provide locations and best techniques and gear to enhance your fishing experience.
Quiet Time
There are full-time residents in our neighborhood so we request guests observe quiet times between 11pm and 6am. All facilities are still available for use at this time we just ask that you show consideration.
Pet Policies
Dogs are welcome (2 max) with a small pet fee required for each dog. The area is not fenced but we do have tie outs available. Renters will be responsible for their pets, pet damage and waste. We do not allow viscous or aggressive dogs.
If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful vacation away from all of the main channel craziness this is the perfect spot for you. We look forward to your visit.

Rick and Sarah are your hosts. Originally from Council Bluffs and Des Moines Iowa, we retired to the lake in 2016 and have never looked back. Sarah is a retired office manager with a CPA firm in Omaha, NE, and Rick retired as a Project Director from ConAgra Foods in Omaha, NE. Our family has been coming to Lake of the Ozarks for over twenty years and have never had a bad vacation so we are hoping we can continue that tradition for your family.

Our flat lot with just steps to the water and a play area make the property extremely family friendly. The no-wake cove with clean, spring fed water makes swimming, kayaking, and fishing extremely pleasurable experiences. If you are looking for more hustle and bustle a 45 minute drive will land you in Osage Beach offering any type of activity imaginable.
