Spring (May 10 - June 13) and Fall (September 3 - 30) offers includes a 1 day pontoon boat rental for a 2-3 day stay, or 2 days for a 4 day or longer stay (boaters license and experience required).
The property is set up so diverse groups can enjoy their vacation time together while also providing the ability to enjoy some time alone as one-third of the space can be closed off for those pesky work calls, nap time, late morning risers, etc. Perfect for family get togethers and enjoying nature.
The bungalow is set up for large groups and features five bedrooms (3 bedrooms each with queen-sized beds and 2 bedrooms each consisting of one double and one twin bed). There’s a fully-equipped kitchen and pantry (pots, pans, silverware, 30 cup coffee maker, two 4 slice toasters, plates, cups, etc). The indoor dining area has seating for 12 people. There are two full bathrooms with walk-in showers. Bedroom, bath and kitchen linens are included but please bring your own swimming towels.
For indoor entertainment there is a flat screen TV with satellite in the main living area, along with a games table (hutch contains a large selection of board games, books, puzzles, and DVDs), air hockey table, giant Connect game and arcade game (with over 60 fun games such as pacman, frogger, donkey kong, …). There is a second livingroom with a flat screen TV and DVD player. A HDMI cable is also provided so you can easily hook up your own games (xbox, etc).
There is a large private outdoor deck (50’x10’) with BBQ (propane included), tables & chairs, and lounge chairs with great views of the water. There is also an abundance of wild life and often times just looking towards the water you will spot bald eagles soaring, trumpeter swans flying past (wing span can be as large as 10 ft!), herons grazing, deer having a drink from the water’s edge, loons calling, …. Additional outdoor areas include picnic tables, bonfire pit, horseshoe pits and ladderball.
Full and unrestricted access down to the water via a large shared dock that can accommodate several types of boats. The depth at the end of the dock is a minimum of 8’ at all times (there is a free public boat launch close by). A Paddle Board, Kayak and Canoe are also available for exploration. There is plenty of parking for vehicles, boat trailers, etc (please let us know during the booking process if you plan to bring a boat). There is also a swimming ladder off the dock and a swim platform so everyone can jump in and cool off.
We also have a pontoon boat with a swimming ladder available to rent (if interested please enquire when you book as it may not be available for booking at a later date: 20ft pontoon boat with Bimini with 40HP motor -- 10 person capacity or 1100lbs max. $150 per day or $750 week.
A $500 security deposit for the pontoon boat will need to be given in cash or via etransfer but will be returned in full, when the boat is returned in good condition. We have adult lifejackets available, but we require that you bring all child lifejackets. Boat must be returned before dusk daily. Prices do not include fuel consumption. Boating license and previous experience is required, and a waiver form must be completed and signed.
White Fish Lake is on a chain of beautiful lakes, rivers and locks (otherwise known as the Rideau Canal) extending over 200 kms from Kingston to Ottawa. This property is located approximately 90 minutes from Ottawa, 30 minutes north of Kingston, 30 minutes from the Canadian/US border (Thousand Islands Bridge) and 2 1/2 hours from Toronto.
White Fish Lake is one of the largest lakes available for exploration and enjoyment between locks. It has great fishing for Large and Small Mouth Bass, Northern Pike, Crappie, Bluegill, Catfish, Perch and Sunfish.
Area highlights include 2 sandy walk-in beaches with play structures, picnic tables, both within a 10 minute drive, historic Kingston with Old Fort Henry, Rock Dunder Trail (highest point in Ontario and is also a great swimming and rock jumping spot when accessed via the water – 10 min boat ride), Westport with many artisanal shops and restaurants and hiking trails. There are also several golf courses close by. The locks at Jones Falls has boats of all shapes and sizes transported up and down four levels (at 58.4 feet this is the highest lift of any lock station on the Rideau), there’s also a visitors center, lockmaster house, and great Stone Arch Dam to visit, with multiple places to picnic, swim and fish.
