Our South Haven vacation rental boasts a clean, simple style that will remind you of HGTV, while still preserving the cottage's cozy charm. Unwind on the front porch rockers or in front of the living room fireplace. The cottage features a fully equipped kitchen with quartz countertops, two full bathrooms with double quartz vanities and custom tiled showers.
The cottage layout includes a downstairs queen bedroom, an upstairs queen bedroom, an upstairs loft twin bunk bed room (located between the two upstairs bedrooms), and an upstairs full bedroom. We've thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable, from kids' toys and books to beach chairs, a cooler bag, and games.
Our location is unbeatable—just two blocks from the beach at the blue stairs, where you can witness stunning Lake Michigan sunsets. We're also a stone's throw from the amazing Kids Corner playground, a short walk to the splash pad, and five to six blocks from downtown. Additionally, we're steps away from the paved Van Buren State Park Trail and a short ride to the Kal-Haven 33.5-mile trail for biking, running, or walking. For unforgettable experiences, consider booking a fishing charter or a sailboat cruise (ask us for a referrals).
Our cottage is open year-round, offering the perfect winter retreat. You can walk, cross-country ski, or snowmobile along the Kal-Haven trail. Downtown offers ice skating in a festive atmosphere, or you can go downhill skiing at Timber Ridge or Bittersweet (35-45 miles away). After exploring, indulge in shopping and dining downtown while taking in the majestic lighthouse in all its winter glory. Then return to the cottage to relax in front of a warm, cozy fire.

We also love to give back! Our family gives to local causes like the South Haven Community foundation for things like scholarships, park improvements and as well as donates our time in the community. We started coming to South Haven when we were dating in 1999. In 2019 after looking in a real estate magazine we found & purchased this 149 year old home. It was a diamond in the rough with no plumbing, no heating & no kitchen. We love South Haven & were so excited to have our own slice of heaven near Lake Michigan! After 14 months non-stop work we had transformed the home into what looks & feels like a brand new cottage. We decided to rent it to pay for the payments on the home & in the process realized we LOVE hosting! There is nothing greater than hearing about how our home brings people together.
