Best all around cabin experience weâve had.
We visit the Smokies 2-3 times a year, and for a more than a few years we have stayed in cabins exclusively. This is the best all-round experience we have had!
When you begin to make your way off the main road you see the sign for the Shagbark gated community. But donât think of it like a neighborhood with cabins all close together. The cabins are all spread out with loads of privacy. The guards at the check point are awesome guys, they are nice, helpful and compliment to this community. this cabin is the most secluded weâve stayed at. You then make your way back through the pass the walking paths, and Frisbee golf. Make a couple turns and uptake hill to Wildcat Ridge. There is a small portion of gravel road, but we saw cars making driving through/up it with ease. As you arrive to the cabin you get a sense of how private and maybe perfect this stay is going to be. You can barely see the next cabin up higher through the woods.
Itâs very easy to get in and out of the front door and to get unloaded. CP+Rachael give you a code for the door with all the info you will need via VRBO message well before your stay. And they even checked on us to make sure we got in ok. We exchanged messages with them through the week keeping them updated with our stay and asking cabin questions and they were always quick to respond and with help.
