The online picture makes the room look a lot more spacious and modern than it is. It wound be helpful to have a place to store clothing vs living out of a suitcase. The bathroom situation is not ideal, but we knew about that ahead of time. It helps that the bathroom is cleaned daily.
The noise factor is an issue. Given the property is next to a major hospital, expect frequent landings of the medical helicopter at all hours. The property reminded me of a hostel set-up and people come at all times of the day, some louder than others.
Karen did generously offer bikes to us to explored Charleston, which was wonderful. We very much appreciated that! Karen is super nice in person and was responsive to messaging while we were in Charleston. She made some really good recommendations of places to eat and visit. Being a host myself, I would recommended sending out check-in information sooner, since we spent most of our arrival day traveling on planes, and it wound have been helpful to familiarize myself with check-in details ahead of time.
