We had a great time for an end of the summer trip. We brought our chiweenie and the house was perfect for the small dog and two girls (8 and 9). We loved the location, close to everything but also secluded. The area was beautiful and quiet. We’ve stayed at a few properties now managed by Jekyll realty, and this was one of my favorites.

Loved the location and how private it was. Kitchen was extremely well stocked, nothing forgotten and nothing else you could possibly need! Bathrooms definitely need some attention and perhaps some spraying for spiders as we had many uninvited guests. We towed a trailer with a golf cart and there was plenty of room to park with access. Hoping some updating will be done as we would like to stay here again.

A hidden gem was an excellent place to stay. It was our first trip to Jekyll Island and we enjoyed it very much. We liked that we could bring our dogs. The house was in a quiet neighborhood. There were even friendly deer. We had a great day thank you very much.

It was a very nice place to stay. Quiet. Secluded and with all of the amenities of home. Hosts were very welcoming. Also great for our pet dog. Would definitely stay there again.

The house had comfortable beds and furniture and the kitchen was well stocked. The new coffee pot was a big plus from our visit in April.

Sweet spot

It was very nice. Pretty and simple decor, nice screen porch which looked out on wildness. Easy walk to the ocean. You can swim there at any tide-- high tide is fine.

Great week at Jekyll

We love riding the trails and through the historic district. The house was as advertised and had what we needed. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a good last minute, animal friendly find. We booked a partial week only a week ahead of time and it worked for us. (4 adults and infant) We liked that the house was secluded in the neighborhood and within walking distance to the beach. There are several bicycles there but we didn't use them so can't vouch for working order. Home owner is right next door but we only saw them once, which was fine. This is an older 2br, 1.5 bath duplex home, clean, well furnished with some updating. A nice screened back porch, easy 2 vehicle paved driveway. The deer outback nearly ate apples from our hands which was a treat. Overall comfortable. Thank you Jekyll Realty for notifying us when it was ready and eliminating the stop at the office on the way in. We dropped keys off for check out with ease.

April 2024 Stay

We are Jekyll Island fans. This was a good last minute find when looking for a pet friendly partial week. We booked only a week ahead and it worked for us. (4 adults and infant) We enjoyed the seclusion in the neighborhood and within walking distance to the beach. Lots of nearby sites for fishing, beach, golf, biking, putt putt. We ate at home because previous trips prove to be long waits at local restaurants. There are several bicycles at Hiddn Gem, but we didn't use them so can't vouch for working order. Home owner is right next door but we only saw them once, which was fine. This is an older 2br, 1.5 bath duplex home, clean, well furnished with some updating. A nice screened back porch, easy 2 vehicle paved driveway. The deer outback nearly ate apples from our hands which was a treat. Overall comfortable. Thank you Jekyll Realty for notifying us when it was ready and eliminating the stop at the office on the way in. We dropped keys off for check out with ease.

Despite asking questions about the quality of the water on the beach at Jekyll Island prior to booking our reservation & again when making our final payment we were told we had nothing to worry about and that the beach water was perfectly fine. I specifically asked about the muddiness of the water because we had experience that on our last stay on Jekyll, and wanted to make sure that beach beautification had been done to bring back the sand, so that you weren’t stepping in mud when entering the water. We were again told no issues. Once on the island, we were greeted with black and dark, brown, muddy water, rolling in on every wave to the point where we did not feel comfortable, even getting in the water. We left early on the 22nd & no one from Jekyll Realty reached out to us. The yellow water was temporary due to work on water tower.
