Step aboard two-story Red Rover. Its beautiful, oceanside location is ideal, just 300 feet from the sand. Beach access is an easy walk down Trent Drive, with sound access just a short ride away. From the deck of the home (named for James Fenimore Cooper’s famous pirate “Red Rover”), you can enjoy exceptional views of both the ocean and the sound while sitting in cozy Adirondack chairs, a rustic picnic table, or soaking in the hot tub. The spacious living room has plenty of windows for great natural lighting, a high ceiling, fragrant juniper wood paneling, warm resort furniture, a large flatscreen TV and DVD player, and free WiFi. The well-equipped kitchen has a breakfast bar, tiled floors, and a dining table that can seat up to eight guests. Several restaurants are nearby. The first floor features three bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with a tub/shower, the other with a shower. The first bedroom has a ceiling fan. An adjacent nook with a full-size washer and dryer makes laundry a snap. The ground level has paved parking to accommodate four cars, two carports, an outside shower, a fish-cleaning station. If you like views of both sunrises and sunsets, then cruise Hatteras Island aboard the Red Rover.

THINGS TO KNOW
Guests will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your email. Guests will not be able to check-in until we have received your signature electronically.
*Guests have access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility. Additional details around this facility will be shared in your check-in email and during the check-in process. The club is typically open mid-May to mid-October, depending on weather.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles.
This rental is located on floor 2.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

Perfect Spot

Home situated near everything Hatteras, Frisco & Buxton has to offer. Beach right at the end of the cul-de-sac and up a small dune. Had a great time visiting art galleries - spending time at the beach and eating some downright delicious food and relaxing in the hot tub under the stars.

Very short walk to beach

House was perfect. Very clean fit my family and friends well. Hot tub was clean and nicely located on deck.i only have 1 complaint. I picked up about 15 shingle nails in driveway. My buddy and I brought our motorcycles and ran over a few before we noticed the nails. Thank god we didnt get a flat.

Second time renting Red Rover

The sunset view from the hot tub are amazing...picture perfect. The views really make this house. A large under house part is nice with all the beach gear. Two and half baths are useful. Lots of seating in the livingroom. Upgrades since we rented last-bathrooms and carpet-nice! Dune that you cross to get to the beach can be steep...we had a 9 and 12 year old and were fine...but depending on age may want to think about the walk-it could be considered hard!!! Would rent again

Disappointment

Location and beach access were great, but House is run down and filthy! We spoke many times with customer service agents who said someone would come over and clean and that local management would call for some sort of accommodation, but we spoke to no one. There is just some dude who stopped by one morning to clean sand front the hot tub…

Extremely Disappointed: Don’t rent

Sadly this house was not only filthy but not well cared for. The shower curtain was black with mold, pans burnt, blender and toaster not working, frig too gross for words. Vacasa offered to refund a 135.00 cleaning fee but when I explained this was not adequate they ghosted me.

Worn but functional

Pros - proximity to Hatteras sights, shops, and ferry; short walk to the beach; quiet in the offseason; hot tub on top deck where you can view the stars (probably best in the offseason when there are much fewer lights from neighbors) Cons - pet hair on furniture; construction debris in bathrooms; water leaks in main bedroom, large bubbles in bathroom floor linoleum We stayed in January in the offseason and experienced a strong storm with minor flooding, strong winds, and heavy rain. The house swayed a little but it held. The front door appeared to have recently been replaced but not yet fully sealed so it leaked quite a bit. Water also penetrated the siding and came through the ceiling fan on the first floor. The siding facing the ocean needs replacement and the structure underneath may have significant water damage as the water damage we witnessed on the inside did not appear to be the first of its kind. The staff did call us on our way back to make sure we made it out ok. If you're looking for a good location that meets your basic needs in good weather conditions, this place probably will work for you and your family.

Perfect Location

The walk to the beach is do-able for kids. Washer and dryer worked well, downstairs/driveway a lot of space for playing, storage, etc. Beautiful sunset views from the hot tub.

Great location

Toilet upstairs had been leaking enough to cause the drywall tape in the second full bath to come loose and drop. The leak has obviously been there a while and dripped with every flush. . With that we couldn’t use the other bathroom. Was fixed midway through the week after calling hatteras realty. The email and app for vacasa was worthless. Great location.

The location to the beach was great! I love that you could see the ocean and the sound.

Our experience was great. When we got there the coffee pot was broken. I left a message with house keeping about it and they brought us a new one in a timely manner. You have to leave message with the reality company, but they are great at returning calls. We had a great time, it was peaceful neighborhood. Love the small town if Frisco!

Great location

The great room upstairs has a lovely view of both the sound and the ocean and the crashing waves put me to sleep at night. Its a very short walk to a gorgeous beach.There are a few items that need to be addressed though, a window upstairs that is leaking, rotten, and fogged over which ruins the view, the handrails are so weathered I got a splinter in the first ten minutes and the mattress I slept on was about 4 inches thick. The lounge chair is also falling apart and needs replacing. I know these homes take a beating so I'd suggest a few new items to spruce up what is a great vacation spot!
