Our secluded family home sits on a hill at the end of a dead end road above the small downtown of Frankfort, Michigan. The house is surrounded by trees which provide a feeling of privacy and yet is only a 15 minute walk to downtown and Lake Michigan. It’s a great central location for accessing activities in the area and also a wonderful place to sit back and relax on the deck with friends and family. Frankfort, Benzie County and Northwest Michigan offer a variety of activities- hiking, biking, golf, fishing, kayaking, surfing, farmers' markets, wine tours, restaurants, music, art, film, festivals, shopping, water/snow skiing, M22 scenic drives and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.
The main floor has two bedrooms (1 master bedroom ensuite with king bed and 1 bedroom with a set of bunk beds and a queen bed), 1 full bath, an open kitchen/dining area, and an open living room with a wood burning stove. Large windows provide a lot of natural light. There is also a spacious deck with bench seating, a large table and chairs, hot tub, and a gas grill. The finished basement has 1 bedroom ensuite (1 queen bed), open rec/tv area with a fold-out couch and laundry area. The basement opens up to a lower brick patio area and has access to the garage. The driveway provides plenty of parking for cars/boats.
