Located centrally on Bradenton Beach and just steps away from the ocean, the Pink House is a rosy reminiscence of days gone by. Bottom floor 2 br/2ba unit with private kitchen and living room. The house is shared with an upstairs studio apartment. No need for a car as the island trolley and Monkey Bus run daily. The unit also offers cable television and WiFi.

Disaster!

The host was AWOL and did not notify us the place was damaged by the hurricane and was not habitable. It was still listed by VRBO for rent. We had to relocate. VRBO was very helpful to us!

Should have gotten in touch

Never told us until 5:00 pm. the day before we were scheduled to go that they had a flood and had to cancel. There was not a single VRBO available on the island when we found out. I had email the owner a few times a few days before we were due because I had not gotten a entry code. The owner didn't answer until 15 hours before we were supposed to leave our house. Had they let us know even a few days in advance it would have been okay. This flood did not happen the day before we were due, they should have been considerate and let us know immediately about the problem. We had to scramble to save the weekend that we had reserved back in December.

Don’t rent from this host - he/she VRBO-scammed us

We showed up to a house that was literally condemned due to hurricane damage and not being inhabitable. We arrived at a house with: a sand-clogged crawlspace beneath the house, no steps to the entry doors, interior construction not finished, no furniture and a yard strewn with garbage (old sink in backyard etc.). The owner of the Smoqhouse restaurant (very highly recommended), which is next door, confirmed that it had a “condemned” decal on the front window until very recently and that it was uninhabitable. The host did not respond to text or voice mail messages. To their credit, VRBO reacted promptly and admirably, but they must build more trust into their product by guaranteeing the legitimacy of their listing.

Canceled midnight before arrival!

The owner canceled our reservations that we had for well over a month at midnight before we were due to arrive. They stated due to property damage. We went by the property and it was clear it was due to hurricane damage which happened months ago. The house was not even close to being rentable. The interior doors were removed. The floors were torn up and they were no furnishings. This was not a last-minute event. And their VRBO listing showed they were still taking reservations for the following day.They tied up our money, mislead us to believe that we had a place to stay and cancel at the last minute. We came to town for a wedding and there was nothing available close by at such short notice.

Love the Pink House

We enjoyed our week at the Pink House very much. The location was great and close to everything we needed. The house was beautifully decorated and clean. Parking was a little tricky but only because we came in a large truck. The only concern we had was that the fridge did not seem to cool as well as it should and the ice maker did not work. We would stay here again and hope to be back for another beach trip next year!!

house was perfect as we just needed a place to sleep since we were visiting friends who live on the island. as it turned out the house was close to the beach, shopping, bars and restaurants so it was a plus for us! plenty of room for the four of us

As described would stay again

The property was in a nice location. Short walk to the beach and restaurants. Check in was easy, host was very responsive, and the house was perfect for the two of us. Would stay there again.

Super Charming home

Loved the location and charm of this old home. My friends and I loved the design and would stay here again. The kitchen was a good size but needs more pots and pans and things to use for cooking at home. If you want to hang out outside, be prepared to stand up because the outdoor furniture is badly in need of replacement. The landscaping is being worked in and we found some nails on the ground in the back of the property but thankfully we didnt puncture any tires. Overall the place was a good fit and we enjoyed our stay.

Great Stay

This is a great location! Steps from the beach,close to shopping and restaurants! Being on the lower level can be a little noisy if someone is upstairs. There is a tennis/pickleball court next door that could be disturbing for some. The master B/R was quiet! All in all it was great and we would return!

Disappointed

The property location was perfect, but the description was inaccurate. The beach is more like a short walk, not a few steps unless you trespass the 2 condos across the street. The HVAC system was too noisy to run at night andthe rust on the front of the refrigerator was not very appealing for a kitchen. The drapes dragging on the floor were dirty. Needless to say we were less than pleased. When we reached out to the managing agent they indicated they would reach out to the owner, but we never heard back from the ower or the managing agent.

Best Vacation

The Pink House was amazing. It really exceeded our expectations and we will visit again. It was truely a 2 minute walk from the beach, and next door to an amazing restaurant. We loved the spacious bedrooms and well appointed kitchen. Everything we needed was there, including the beach towels! It was just a lovely place to stay, and we loved our time there.

How to really enjoy

The house was great . Every thing we needed plus more and everything worked , excellent amount of Kitchen ware, towels , glasses and space . For two couples this was prefect . Clean ,Quite , Great parking . Cannot say anything bad about it. It is not the Riz butt it was great ,clean confrontable and had it all. Fit Out needs with no complaints . Thanks it made our weekend perfect for all four of us .

Girls trip

We decided to stay at the Pink House for our annual girls trip. The house was so cute and convenient! It was very clean, and the description was very accurate. There was also a lot of information regarding the island, places to eat, and things to do. We really enjoyed our trip!

The property was quite clean, spacious enough for our needs, nicely decorated, well supplied, the pictures on the website are accurate A small maintenance issue such as a non working range hood fan and light yet overall the property worked well for us
