## Emplacement
A seaside resort very popular with tourists, Arcachon is located in New Aquitaine, in the Gironde department. Main city of the Arcachon basin, it faces the Atlantic Ocean, at the limit of La Teste-de-Buch and the resort of Pyla-sur-Mer. Recent, the city of Arcachon was born from a separation with La Teste-de-Buch in 1857, in particular thanks to the creation of a railway line with Bordeaux.
