This gorgeous home offers you all of the amenities, yet is on a peaceful wooded lot. It is sunny, open and private. Watch for the occasional deer, eagle, turkey, birds, and wildlife from the living room, dining room or deck! Have you seen the stars in Maine? Stargazing at its best, where you feel like you can reach out and touch the milky way as you count the shooting stars. This is truly the Maine experience.
This gorgeous one floor home offers you all of the amenities and privacy you need. With 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bath, open concept home is centrally located for all of your adventures! It offers a fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, dining area, large living room and 3 spacious bedrooms. It is very clean, open concept, and well kept, all on one floor.

Ellsworth is a great little town. This house is five minutes from the more commercial district and five minutes from the old Main Street district. It’s a little less than a half hour from the front of the park, but the drive in is beautiful. Well kept house and very cute. We highly recommend and would stay here again.

Great Home & Location

Very nice home located in a quiet country like location. Enjoyed the deck for morning coffee & walking in the backyard by the woods, even saw a deer one evening! Susan was very responsive and helpful with any questions we had, would recommend this place for a bit of relaxation.

Nice Location

Highly recommend this rental for its location. It is perfect for exploring the park and nearby hiking trails. The property was clean and stocked with everything we needed. We had a wonderful stay.

Maine cabin

I am redoing a cabin in Maine that is not ready to be lived in yet. When we come to Maine to work on it we also stay near ellsworth. This was the best stay so far. This house was clean with plenty of room. It wasnice and queit but yet close to everything. Would definitely stay again.was

Perfect base for a family vacation in Acadia

The house was very spacious and sparkling clean. Has everything you need for a great family vacation in Acadia. Very convenient location. It's a 30 min drive to Acadia National Park. Very close to Rt. 1 (to go to Sullivan Falls, Schoodic peninsula or the Schoodic mountain) and to a bike trail. The house was spotless clean when we arrived and had plenty of towels, bedding, kitchen stuff, etc. All beds were very comfortable. Nice deck with a dining table and a grill. We had a great time!

A well-appointed house about 30 minutes from Acadia. Felt very private to us, which we liked.

We enjoyed our stay at this property (5 nights). The home was clean and well appointed for cooking (we grilled on the deck). Prepare for about a 30-minute drive to Acadia (not a big issue for us). Be advised that the shower in the master bedroom is tiny, but the other full bath is nice with a normal-sized shower. Great having a washer and dryer in the front of the house. We just wished there were ceiling fans in the bedrooms and some nicer deck chairs on the hood-sized deck. We appreciated the communication from the management company throughout the rental process.

Just! Right!

Located 30 minutes outside of Acadia, this home is perfect for a family vacationing with outdoor goals. We only spent a few hours in Bar Harbor (very crowded and especially with COVID felt uncomfortable there) but many many hours in ACADIA. Property was perfect for resting after a full day of hiking and sun. Multiple bathrooms and bedrooms were great for teens. SUP{ER CLEAN! Only draw-back was the kitchen was not quite stocked with enough cooking supplies to make it easy for making meals. Bring your own cutting board, lol. Would definitely stay here again if ever back in Maine.

What was outstanding- layout is spacious, clean, and appreciated some of the basic cooking condiments being available. Lots of dishes, bowls, pans and utensils- awesomeness! The price was good for the location. * what could be improved: the towels are dingy and rough- the stains are set, either need to purchase new white towels or leave bleach here. . Ceiling fan or standing fan in each bedroom would help counter act the Humidity. Possibly leave board games and cards for the rainy days. Outside- awning over deck or covered area with chairs underneath would of been nice to still be able to enjoy being outside and out of the rain. Possibly have a Corn Hole game or some other outdoorsy game item. Fire pit if permitted in area. quick communication/ responses when we had questions.

Perfect spot to launch explorations

This place was perfectly situated to explore Acadia, the Schoodic Peninsula and surrounding environs. It is halfway between Bar Harbor and Winter Harbor, and I would recommend visiting both of them for totally different experiences. We were able to have full days at the park, and then return for cozy dinners in our place as opposed to fighting the crowds at local eateries. The house is neat as a pin, the beds comfortable, and the deck and grill are such a great way to enjoy the house to the fullest. The kitchen was great to have but we are cooks and it really does need some more equipment to get to 5 stars in that area. I did give the rental agency a wish list, and i have seen similar requests on other reviews, so I hope they take that advice so I could really say that i recommend without reservation. That being said, the rental agent actually brought us a lobster pot and some crackers, which was above and beyond! I hope they leave them there! And when we had a water problem, they were very responsive. Excellent management.

Relaxing home near everything!

We enjoyed our stay in Nestled in Nature, having a kitchen was crucial for four people. The bedrooms were comfortable, the bathroom, clean and lots of hot water! The location was ideal, equal distance between Acadia and the Schoodic portion of the park. We ate more lobster than I budgeted for, not sorry!

Fall colors

Great stay to see the fall colors. Multiple short hiking places around the area. Adequate restaurants, and enough to keep us busy.

Nestled in Nature

The house was very clean with a well-stocked kitchen and other amenities such as paper towels, nice quality toilet paper, enough dish soap, shampoo, and extra blankets. Property was also landscaped beautifully and was an easy drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia as our main attractions, but we also enjoyed the town of Ellsworth to stock up on groceries or for a coffee before heading out. Air conditioning was easy to use so we always felt comfortable. When I booked the trip in March, I regretted not booking sooner since I couldn’t locate anything in Bar Harbor, but now I’m glad I stayed in Hancock and would stay in the house again if we.are in the area. Also, some, perhaps older, reviews mentioned there was not a TV large enough for family view ing, but we did have a large Smart TV in the living room. Very enjoyable!
